It would be a good idea to give the kid some precautionary antibiotics. You don't know what the snake's last meal was but I bet it wasn't sterile.

What do you say to the ER staff when you bring the kid in? "Can you check him out? He bit the head off a snake. No, I don't think it was venomous. No, not the boy, either, as far as we know ... just hungry."
