When the revival first began, "it was a lot of fishnets and the glory of having a cool name on your shirt," said Team Canada coach Ian Mackenzie. "It's now truly a very high, competitive sport."

I'm not sure. 'Fishnets and cool names' make it sound like they had it right at the start.

Let's hope the Lingerie Football League doesn't get so serious.

The second most boring sport since (just behind) golf?

Pummel means to thrash to beat, as with hands. Derby means race. Neither descriptors seem to apply, because if it was a race...well, they are taking thier sweet time. And as for thrashing...if you got holiday shoppers inebriate so much that they were uncordinated and slow, maybe....

Nothing against the sport, or golf. but sleeping is more fun.

But I bet Canada pummels us in ....that sliding the rock on ice sport.

>>The track is no longer banked, and gone are the campy theatrics ...<<

Then what good is it ?

Everybody up here is in tears, I can tell you. Especially Mayor Ford, who is a big supporter of eXtreme sports...
