Isn't a hundred pigs something like 250 bucks?
My niece went to Africa to help with child care for a family that had moved there and was struggling with language courses. She was about 15 and enjoyed the chance to spend a summer in the locale.
One day, a local marriage arranger came calling. The offer for her hand in marriage was in livestock. When she e-mailed the family about the event, her father and I were discussing how many chickens a cow was worth and how the counteroffer should be proffered.
My niece was not amused.
