Sadly, I have to report that Mia Hamm is now doing TV Public Service Announcements about prenatal care, illustrating that Dave is still correct about women preferring to save an infant than score a goal to win the World Cup.

When I told the little lady that the line about saving an infant and not even considering if there were any men on base was one of the funniest things I ever read, she gave me one of "those" looks muttered something about why didn't she hire that hitman and then wandered off muttering to herself. I just don't understand women.

Obviously this was written before Dave was enlightened by various blog ladies and Judi.

This article reminds me of a "situation" that occurred yesterday in the Layzee household. You see, the Eagles and Yankees were on TV simultaneously. As I futilely Googled "the guy in charge of scheduling all sporting events" Mrs. Lyzee tried to calm me and the conversation went something like this:
"You know the Yankees already clinched so the game doesn't mean anything."
"Doesn't MEAN ANYTHING?!? We're playing Boston who are only one game ahead of the Rays in the wild card race. This game could decide who we see in the playoffs!!"
"Then watch the Yankees."
"But the Eagles are playing the frickin' Giants. It's a g-ddamn division game!"
"Well then, why don't you just DVR it and watch it after the Eagles game?"
"DVR it? What are you crazy, woman?"
Sheesh. Sometimes I just don't get females.

You're lucky Layzeeboy. I would have duct taped you to your chair and turned it to the Hallmark Channel. Or even worse the Home Shopping Channel.
Also everyone knows that the Packers-Bears game was the one to watch. Then I watched the Steelers vs. the Colts. Before both of those though I watched the Panthers vs. the Jaguars. All my teams won : )

i went shoe-shopping instead of watching the fins yesterday.

judi, even I'd go shoe shopping rather than watch the Fins. And, NC, duct tape me to the chair? Oooh, don't threaten me with a good time. Maybe later. Right now the game is on.

The person who will be making my nursing home care decisions wanted to play Sims on the TV, so I decided that the Bears-Packers game was not as important.
Getting a bed by the window is important to me, should the need arise.

NMUA, I'm going to try that reasoning with my hubby next weekend when he turns the game on. It probably won't work, but at least I'll have given him a good laugh.

Men. btw, NMUA, The Packers won and it was a wonderful game.

It was difficult in the 'Cindy, the other (not nurse) one' household. We all wanted to watch the Packer game, however daughter and I also wanted to watch the Milwaukee Brewers. Hubby rules the BIG TV, so we women had him TiVo the Packers while we watched the Brewers on the baby tv - and drooled over Ryan Braun. Then we watched the Packers later so we could drool over Clay Matthews...
Oh, and yes, we also watched the game.
