I love Alfred Hitchcock's movies but my favorite depiction of a scene from The Birds was done by Mel Brooks in the movie High Anxiety. If you've never seen it you should.

The short story by Daphne DuMaurier that Hitchcock's film was based on was very different, and definitely less thrilling. It was a vague, eco-cautionary tale--AlGore would have loved it.

Loved the scene from High Anxiety! Much more true to life. Of course Nurse Wratchet and the fruit cup was good, too.
