LITERARY UPDATE FROM CHANNELVIEW, TEXAS

She wanted "The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby" pulled from the library because it contained the phrase 'poo poo head.'

Guess she won't be visiting this blog any time soon...

Good point.

Yet another victory for Texas over the First Amendment.

SHHHHH! No talking in the library!

When Dav Pilkey is outlawed, only poo poo heads will have Dav Pilkey. And they will rule the world.

Dav Pilkey is AWESOME (all writers named "Dave" or some facsimile thereof are) and Super Diaper Baby is one of his best books. This woman is obviously constipated.

Everybody knows you're supposed to call is 'boo-boo' in children's books! I also sincerely hope she never reads this blog.

well, she's just a doody brain.

is Add 'it'. I was overcome with emotion because when you think about it she is threatening our First Amendment Rights! That is the one about freedom of speech isn't it?

I just remembered a cute little rhyme they taught me in school to keep the Amendments to the Constitution straight.
The first amendment gives us the right.
To say what we think even if it's not bright!
The second amendment then comes into play
when we disagree with what others may say!
Can you tell I went to Department of Defense schools?

Where would little boys be without Dav Pilkey? It's a travesty, or at least my sons would think so.

WIth a name like Channelview, It's obvious they watch too much TV!

And consequently, they are "dumbed down." Everyone! That's why everyone there "may" be a "poo poo head".

(With apologies to Jeff Foxworthy.)

Well, if they are going to suspend her son for saying it, then maybe it shouldn't be in the library. Personally, I think they should leave the book and drop the suspension for such a stupid reason.

Obviously the school district was traumatized, and later found in a fecal position.
