Being a resident of Columbus, I am suprised anybody noticed......

Is he, by any chance, running in any election today?

An apprentice jailhouse lawyer. Interesting.

(waves at rob) i don't even know why we even have a law school - do we need more lawyers? they seem to reproduce like gremlins...

Send him to Washington... The Supremes are in session.

I became somewhat alarmed about my (then) newly-chosen profession when I learned that outfit that administered the ethics exam for lawyers would not take personal checks.

It seemed to me that they should, with Question No. 1 on the exam being "Did your check clear? If your answer to Question No. 1 is 'no', stop; put your pencil down . . ."

book 'em, danno

Stealing books from a library is the lowest of the low.

Final exam oral question.

"Why did you steal books from a library?"

"Because that's where the books are!"

"Good answer, you get an A."

(waves at mudstuffin) I believe he was just praticing what he was going to be when he graduated......Another crooked lawyer. I drive by that campus everyday go to work. I can't believe that the law student was discovered. considering that the only thing that gets any attention is the football program.

Now people. Our bonmot is a lawyer and I'm sure he is not crooked and would never stoop to stealing books from a library. I agree that anyone who would steal from a library is pretty low. Just go to a library sale like I did yesterday and buy them. I bought a couple of Amy Tan's books and the Lewis Grizzard book I mentioned earlier. btw, Amy Tan's books are very good. Of course there were not any rare or medieval manuscripts on sale but I did find a dollar in one that I bought a couple of years ago.

I hear law books make good rolling papers.

btw bonmot, let me know if you need my address again to send my money for defending you. Cash only please.

Thank you, nc. Again.

I can't pay you in real BBQ?

I've already eaten real BBQ this week. Maybe a nice steak.

At least you have to give him credit for being a college student who actually knows how to use a library.

True Braniff. Sort of o/t but I think heck has frozen over. They just mentioned the 's' word for our area on a newsbreak. Other people from the south will understand that word is snow. Nooooooooooooo! o/t

cindy, clearly you are not cut out to be a lawyer. You violated the most basic rule - get the money FIRST. ;)

Diva, you are absolutely right. No wonder bonmot never pays me.

I pay you in happy thoughts and good wishes, nc. ((((((nc)))))).

And the second rule: Bill 25 hours every day.

Thanks bonmot. Several years ago I watched the movie, "The Firm". I think they billed about 27 hours a day. After watching that movie I would never become a lawyer in a big law firm.
