Actually, when I worked with elderly people you would be surprised how many of them drank regularly for medicinal purposes. I would guess mostly joint pain. You could find alcohol hidden almost anywhere at times.

Drinking can lead to Irish Arthritis, though.
That's when you get stiff in a different joint each night.

Hasn't anybody heard of a state of intoxication known as "painless"? I've been there, and it's great until the next morning.

I tried soaking my joints in alcohol a long time ago. I could never get the concentration right so it would vaporize.

"Previous studies have shown that alcohol may reduce the risk of developing the disease in the first place." That's what I'm banking on. Punch your ticket early, while you still look good and before all these nasty old age diseases catch up to you.
