Don't go.

They should change the name of their river to the name of OUR river - the PIScataqua.

This would not happen in a community that names its sewage lifting station after a famous humorist/author now would it?

To pee or not to pee, that is the question.

Horace, the answer, is No.

well, good thing flushing is in queens.

I'm waiting for the Eaton/eatin' puns.

*still waiting*

Don't ask, don't smell.

What a crappy situation.

Best selling postcard:

Passing thru Eaton, Thinking of you.
Sorry - can't stop, 'Cuz I gotta poo.

If it's yellow, let it mellow; if it's brown, flush it down.

So pretty much every toilet in town is now a low-flow one.

That's just offal.

One of our local treatment plants is located on the appropriately named Yellow River.

I'm glad that this didn't happen in Grand Forks, North Dakota, home of the Dave Barry Lift Station No. 16.

I know that this famous lift station was mentioned previously, but I wanted Grand Forks to receive proper recognition.

If this had happened at the Dave Barry Lift Station No.16, would they expect Dave to fix it? In one of his books on home improvement (The Taming Of The Screw) he did say he was a plumbing expert.

They may want to consider doing this.

Have they tried jiggling the handle?

Limit flushing? What, are Eatonites wantonly flushing for no good reason? And where are they gonna read the paper? Are coffee sales down? So many unanswered questions.

And how will this affect the ostrich farmers?

Was the Eaton sewage plant run by BP? It sounds like they have the same safety technology. A simple overflow alarm hooked to a 911 phone dialer could have minimized the problem.

That's too simple -- the government solution will be something like installing a blowout preventer in your butt.
