Say it ain't so, Joe.

I have a feeling that Obama wishes that Joe were in Montpelier and breathing a lot less.
Posted by: nursecindy | May 01, 2009 at 09:59 AM
I think Andy Borowitz has it right.

Fifty people have voted, but only three (now four) have commented here? What is this blog coming to......

No shit, Jeff. They need to duct tape his mouth.
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 10:08 AM
Way to take down the aviation industry in a bad economy, Joe! Just what we need right now!

God Old Joe "I don't really mean to feed the hysteria, but..." Biden. I'm comforted to know that our VP decided to forget the recommendations of the CDC and the Medical Community and encourage citizens to start folding their aluminum foil hats.

Elsewhere, actress Kirstie Alley said that she wished she had Michelle Obama's arms, adding, "for lunch."
Get in line behind Oprah, Kirstie.
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 10:22 AM
This was really Joe Biden's advice to his daughter to avoid long lines...
Posted by: trustf8 | May 01, 2009 at 10:31 AM
trustf8, that just cracks me up.

When I'm at work (airport), I hold my breath for the duration of my shift.
Posted by: Mitch | May 01, 2009 at 10:43 AM
Oh, come one. It's not like he's the first vice president to go out of control.
Posted by: ScottMGS | May 01, 2009 at 10:49 AM
I drank too much beer last night and felt a little under the weather this morning. I also coughed. However, as a good citizen, I heeded President Obama's advice and stayed home today. I did send my kids to daycare so I could watch day time television in peace.
I'm trying not to induce hysteria but I do feel a little worse than I did when I first got up this morning.

Very true, Scott. Butt...shooting a lawyer is considered a benefit to humanity.

I am staying out of confined spaces. And the police will never take me back there.

ANd who thought that the Heinie flu was better than the Swine flu? More of us have heinies than swine.
Posted by: Horace LaBadie | May 01, 2009 at 11:01 AM
I've seen this before. We don't have anything to worry about until the dead from the flu rise in search of brains to eat.
Posted by: Hammond Rye | May 01, 2009 at 11:06 AM
One excellent example, Siouxie.
I might have a rhinovirus so I'm having the zoo put down all the rhinos.
Posted by: ScottMGS | May 01, 2009 at 11:07 AM
I swear, a simian hopped up on cuban coffee and waving around an AK-47 is less dangerous than Biden shooting off his mouth.
Posted by: MartiniShark | May 01, 2009 at 11:13 AM
You mean the Villages idiot?
(Yes, I know that may not be him, butt it sure looks and sounds like him)
Posted by: CJrun | May 01, 2009 at 11:15 AM
*WAVES @ Hammie!!!*
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 11:16 AM
Hilarious, Siouxie. Where did you find that one?
Posted by: ScottMGS | May 01, 2009 at 11:18 AM
Hammie, you do have a point there. By then, we'll all be immune or zombies.
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 11:19 AM
Google is my friend, Scott ;-P
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 11:20 AM
And a true friend [s]he is, Siouxie.

Tea-out-the-nose, elephant-snork for Souixie's link.
Posted by: Cheesewiz | May 01, 2009 at 11:38 AM
Avoid Joe Biden at all costs.
Posted by: ron | May 01, 2009 at 11:39 AM
With respect ScottMGS, I'm not convinced Joe was ever in control. That man, in front of a camera and microphone, is a complete menace.
Posted by: will | May 01, 2009 at 11:39 AM
Come on Sharkie, no need to bring our County Commissioners into this. Leave Natasha alone.
Posted by: Brian | May 01, 2009 at 11:40 AM
^ at the institute we have been experimenting with different ways to spell "Siouxie."
Posted by: Cheesewiz | May 01, 2009 at 11:40 AM
Wiz, I think that's the Native American spelling.
Posted by: Brian | May 01, 2009 at 11:42 AM
It's ok, Cheezie. There are many ways to mispell my nickname ;-P
I think someone better throw Biden from the train. (agnfa movie).
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 11:48 AM
and also to misspell misspell.
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 11:49 AM
Now Brian, I referenced no particular gun-toting simian. Any comparisons are drawn by yourself.

Kindly, give it a rest.

Imagine--Joe is only a heartbeat away from the Presidency...
Posted by: Allen at Division | May 01, 2009 at 12:03 PM
Biden is a smart man, but his mouth runs faster than his brain. Cheney is also a smart man, but his brain runs faster than his ethics. On the other hand, we could have had Palin for V.P. Her hair runs faster than her brain.
So Biden disagrees with the CDC -- no big deal. Personally, I'm avoiding swine flu by staying away from crowds of pigs with lipstick.
Posted by: Ralph | May 01, 2009 at 01:24 PM
Our last Pres/VP combination was made up of one guy with a Vision for America and one putz. The scorecard is the same now, but I like the placement better this time around.
Posted by: padraig | May 01, 2009 at 02:01 PM
Biden has a brain? News to me. At least Palin doesn't have to keep a full-time staff on hand to chorus "She didn't really mean that!" every time she opens her mouth. I hope Joe's "clarifiers" are getting well-paid; they're earning it.
Posted by: Renee (the First) | May 01, 2009 at 03:14 PM
Renee, Palin woulda shot the damn pig that started it all ;-P
Posted by: Siouxie | May 01, 2009 at 04:30 PM
*SNORKS* at Siouxie!!! ... And skinned it and sent it to the NFL ("here's your damned football!")
Posted by: frodolives | May 01, 2009 at 04:50 PM
In a world full of over-scripted phony politicians, he says what he thinks. That said, since he did say what he thinks, what is the CDC not telling us? Methinks Joe knows something...

Methinks Joe knows something...
That would be a first.
Posted by: Spiny Norman | May 01, 2009 at 08:04 PM
Truth is, pigs didn't carry "swine" flu to New Zealand. People on planes did. I'd say the best way to judge your chances of catching it is to measure your distance to the nearest international airport!
As for
