They look like they're wearing lampshades. These fashion designers really don't like women do they?

I'm having a hard time understanding the business model behind this. Who, exactly, pays these people for either making these "clothes" for the models or the models for wearing them? It can't be because it makes them more attractive.

Not Cousin It. Gossamer, from the Warner Brothers cartoons.

Oh yeah, Sharon. You're absolutely right.
Gossamer

Steve, it isn't a business model. It's "Art." Just ask them.
In this case, it's stupid, ridiculous art, but that's just my humble opinion.

them's some mighty big granny panties.

I think Charlie needs to get out more.

Evidence yet again that they do not pay models enough. I mean, you couldn't pay me enough to wear those things.

I don't think Jim Henson would have approved of his muppets eating models... Not enough flesh on the bones.

OK Penguin. We get it. The bot hates you, and wants you to look stupid.

I often marvel at how junk such as this is touted as "fashion" ... yet the only influence it really has is to appear as an obscurely random quasi-footnote to history, by being included in some crowd scene in a second-rate movie ... often, merely for the laughter it will invoke ...

For some unfathomable reason, (female version of the Healthy Penis?) the fashion business needs a government bailout.
Posted by: Horace LaBadie | February 27, 2009 at 12:30 PM
dang. i thought i had managed to escape the wrath of the bot...
Posted by: The Penguin | February 27, 2009 at 01:03 PM
Fashion, it's all about hookers.

It's an old idea.
