Geez. A simple note would have sufficed.

A rather extreme remedy for cold feet, methinks.
Can we be sure this wasn't one of those crazy Japanese game shows?

He had a warm feeling for his fiancee. In this country it's known as 'arson.'
Maybe he met her on 'match.com.'

He was already married, so if the second wedding had gone through he would be known in news headlines as the "Bigamist Arsonist".

A Japanese man set fire to the hotel where he was due to get married at the weekend, rather than go through with the ceremony later the same day.
Ummm, when EXACTLY was the wedding scheduled?
He was arrested after suddenly cancelling the event and behaving suspiciously
If he cancelled, why the arson? Even if the arson was necessary, this is what Japanese law enforcement calls "behaving suspiciously"?
Shoddy translation... Maybe this was on the reception menu??

I see that as a totally acceptable act. If I had done that on my wedding day, I'd be out by now,

Braniff - or Big Arse for short.

Sounds like certain family members threatened to disown him if he didn't marry the woman they told him to. Even though he was already happily married.
blah blah blah blah
Burning Chapel would make a great name for a rock band.
