Too funny! Looks like they do the 'first' thing on other blogs too . . .

There was a fast-food restaurant near the famous 'Drug Store' in Paris that was named 'Drug Burger', that always cracked me up.

second!

. . . but I repeat myself . . .
(sorry)

Is that one of those iconic retro diners trying to evoke nostalgia for the Lebanon of the 50's?

I left my heart
In Lebanon's diner

Truth in advertising laws can be really tough in some states.

That must be Lebanese Diner-speak. You know, like:

"Two camel eyes. Hump 'em!"

Or

"Goat hash and fries, spare the hummus!"

Or

"Grape leaves on a shingle, make it cry!"

MKJ - If you're going to repeat yourself every 4-1/2 years, I guess I can stop reading the blog.

pogs: no! Don't stop! It won't happen again! Maybe!

OK, MKJ, we'll let it go this time...

I just bought AND read a Molly Ivins book I read 5 years ago. I kept thinking, "Gee, this seems so familar." When I went to put it on the shelf, there was the first one.

SNORK @ pogo! You're safe; you're with your own kind here... (checking pockets to make sure there's enough change for the geezer bus)

Oh, pogo, you are so not alone. I can't remember the endings to books and movies. Seriously. It doesn't mean I didn't enjoy them -- au contraire. I just enjoy them all over again later.

I've had this quirk all my life, so I can't blame it on old age.

MKJ - it is FAR WORSE on other blogs. Go to any Hollywood gossip site, and the first 20 posts are "First!"

Twentieth!

The whole first thing started a long time ago on message boards. Primarily on replies to posts by people of importance.
