THE SURGING CAMPAIGN JUGGERNAUT SURGES ON

While The Blog is busy covering the competition, our own Andy the tropichunt.com guy is hard at work campaigning for our candidate at a different kind of convention. Here he secures the endorsement of the luscious Dr. Gaius Baltar, former President of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol.

Judi,

You had me worried for a minute. I thought that post was from Dave.

Whoa, and a first. My first

Great now he can bring about the apocalyspe like he did with the skin job.

I do love Battlestar Galactica.

Yummy.

OT/

I was istening to the local DJ (on the country station) this morning, and he quoted Dave's latest column. Then his sidekick called him out and told him to stop plagiarizing Dave Barry!

Dave, you Rock!

/OT

Geekathon!! I love it, Andy!

At first I thought, "Wow, Andy's at a medical convention." Then I realized it was Andy and I thought, "MmmmKay, a Trekkie convention. Where are his pointy ears?"

I want you to know that Dr. Gaius Baltar does not speak for Kobol, nor for the Galactica fleet. Now that we have finally reached the lost colony of Earth, we will distance outselves from Dr. Baltar and his Cylon associates as much as humanly possible, I can assure you of that. May the Gods preserve the human race -- or what's left of it.

Trekkies, ok, now I get it. I thought he looked a bit young to be teaching computer history.

Is there a doctor in the house?! I could never win against judi, though.

24 Addict, I hope you saw the last episode of those shown by the Sci Fi Channel thus far. I can tell you that I am waiting impatiently for the series to resume so that we can find out where they landed exactly, and whether this is in fact a scorched earth prophecy for our own planet or some other parallel Earth entirely. Battlestar Galactica for me stands alongside Babylon 5 and Deep Space 9 as the most thoughtful and inventive science fiction I have seen on TV in my lifetime. I'm sure I don't have to tell you -- or Andy -- that James Callis as Gaius Baltar is a big reason for that along with Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell and Michael Hogan.

Ahem. This is NOT a Trek con. DragonCon is much much much less more!

ahem

And Andy, you'll score really big with the Blogettes if you can snap a pose with Nathan Fillion ... !

Andy, nice disguise. Although I think you looked better without the facial hair.
See you in Miami!

i'd be happy to be baltar's internal six any damn time ;)

The only "convention" I've ever been to was Screamfest a few years ago and I did get to meet David Naughton (American Werewolf) and Doug Bradley (Pinhead), and others. It was pretty weird and FUN.

judi, you might see if Andy can get James Callis to work his influence on the Galactica producers and include you as one of Baltar's harem acolytes...

Nice touch with Baltar's glowing red eyes, too. ;)

I love BG!

Well, I guess now we can be sure they found Earth...

Of course, nobody yet has mentioned that "The Twelve Colonies of Kobol" WBAGNFARB...

Way to keep the Juggernaut on message, Andy and Mrs. Andy!
