I see Walter has been in the kitchen, working his fingers to the bone.

Oh - and the rest of the blog as well!

Nice Cudgel Dave. Did you use it on the Turkey?
Personally, I would like to thank you for your humor and this blog. Your columns over the years have never failed to amuse me.

Anyway, wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Joyous holiday season.

FSU -- Thanks, but that's no cudgel. That's Walter.

Lookin' good, Walter!
Thanks Dave and Judi, for a really great year- you will think I'm stalking you (Dave), but the Hunt and our upcoming Disney trip will have been on my "most-fun-things-I've-done- -but-that-everyone-else-thinks-I'm-a-huge-geek-when- I-talk-about-it-but-I-don't-care-'cause-I-had-a-blast" list.
I'm thankful for the bloglits- some of us are now friends in real space, too (thanks to cg for the phrase). I can always count on a snork, if not guffaws.
I'm thankful that the ground is wet in Atlanta.
I'm thankful that our pool is done!
Party at my place next year!! Dave- can you have a book signing in my basement?

And let me echo FSU: You've been getting me through life's rough spots for years. Weaned on Benchley, sustained by Barry. Major thanks to you and all the humor gods.

Ohh- I forgot!
Thanks to Mrs. Blog and Sophie for dragging Dave to the Hannah Montana concert- female docling stared at the pix and trembled because she wanted to go so badly when Hannah came (comes?) to Atlanta, but I reminded her that we couldn't afford it because we were going to Disney instead. Same price.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
The pies are done, and we are headed into the snow and ice of Northeast Ohio. Tonight all of the Christmas decorations come out of the attic. The kids are excited, but mommy is more excited. I love the holidays!
I'll catch you all when I get back home.

Ditto on the rain here in Atlanta. We got 2 inches here this morning, and it looks like the area to the north that drains into the reservoirs did too.

I just picked up my son from the Miami airport (hour round trip). (he got up at 3:30 am for a 5:30 am flight out of JFK - so he's napping now)
Oven doesn't work (again), so we'll go out for dinner. Yay!
Happy Thanksgiving! Dave, be sure to let us know where to go for the best bargains!

I found you, the good folks here and this blog by accident. I was volunteering as a moderator on an HIV/aids ch@t site. I was just wore out. "He looked clean" "She looked OK" and my favorite; "we were married, so I knew we were safe..."
One of the above burst me in to tears. My wife saw this. (Not good in guy land) ((4 yrs later)) So I googled "humor" and Dave's blog came up.
When I came in here, Desk Diva and Siouxie forgave my 5th grade spelling and poor grammar as did all. But I felt a lil bad. I took online courses and still fail. (There is a reason they are free)
I have done well in life. Slow and without good diction. But you brought me good humor and higher standards and I thank you.

My family is watching the annual M@cy's T-Day Parade of Product Promotions awaiting the subtle crowning hint moment when Santa appears. Even my kids are wondering what it does to promote actual thankfulness.
I propose, since we are all so genuinely grateful for this blog and its creator, that we add a giant Dave balloon to the parade to give it a basic sense of fun and joy.

Turkey for me
Turkey for you
Let's eat the turkey
In my big brown shoe
Love to eat the turkey
At the table
I once saw a movie
With Betty Grable
Eat that turkey
All night long
Fifty million Elvis fans
Can't be wrong
Turkey lurkey doo and
Turkey lurkey dap
I eat that turkey
Then I take a nap
Thanksgiving is a special night
Jimmy Walker used to say Dynomite
That's right
Turkey with gravy and cranberry
Can't believe the Mets traded Darryl Strawberry
Turkey for you and
Turkey for me
Can't believe Tyson
Gave that girl V.D.
White meat, dark meat
You just can't lose
I fell off my moped
And I got a bruise
Turkey in the oven
And the buns in the toaster
I'll never take down
My Cheryl Tiegs poster
Wrap the turkey up
In aluminum foil
My brother likes to masturbate
With baby oil
Turkey and sweet potato pie
Sammy Davis Jr.
Only had one eye
Turkey for the girls and
Turkey for the boys
My favorite kind of pants
Are corduroys
Gobble gobble goo and
Gobble gobble gickel
I wish turkey
Only cost a nickel
Oh I love turkey on Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
