I came around a corner at work one day and found a snake lying in the hallway. All of the staff were prairie dogging, gasping and squeeling was heard down the hallway along with some door slamming. I just picked the stupid thing up and turned it loose in the woods behind the building. I won a $25 gift certificate to Wallyworld.

Just curious, what did they give you for continuing your work in their garden dept.?

When I was about four, there was a black racer found in the back of our apartment complex. Me and my mother went back to our apartment, and then I made sure to *lock* the door so it couldn't get in.

Anyone else get the ad for the McDonald's chicken sandwich saying "Just delicious"? I don't know why, but I find that bothersone in a snake story.

I used to have a cat that loved to go out and get himself some 'string' to play with.
Considering how many red racers never made it past a size that really does look like a piece of cord (about 4 - 6 inches long) I was surprised that there were enough to keep the supply going, IYKWIM.
He was a good cat and always cleaned up when they finally stopped working as cat toys.
