Is this anything like the "snipe hunt" I went on in High School?

So, let's see:
$300 per person
You sleep in your own car (or tent).
You bring your own food.
You stay on public land.
You are searching for something thay
is notmay not even be there.Yup, sounds like a deal.

I'm not seeing any animals in the pictures. Unless you'd be hunting trees.

exchanges y for t, above

There are some interesting questions on there though like why no "Bigfoot roadkill"???
mm, that would be "tree stalking".

Hanging out in an uncomfortable place, spending too much money, looking for a hairy, elusive guy. Sounds like my typical Saturday night!

Thanks Dave! That's about three hours away from us - and to think we might have missed out on it all if not for your blog...
(Actually, no one tell my husband, ok? I don't really feel like camping with strangers, human or humanoid, on a moonless night... and he just might sign us up.)

PS: "snipe hunt" = *SNORK*

For some reason, "Are you on crack?" is not listed on the FAQ page.

Key quote:
The city that will serve as the meeting place is Bend.

I didn't see my question in the FAQ. So, will I be eaten by a bear since this whole "no moonlight" think seems to be of great importance in keeping them away?
Posted by: Beppie | January 12, 2007 at 02:37 PM
"No moonlight" is essential. Otherwise, the Moon reflects off of the zipper on the back of the suit

Siouxie - there is no "roadkill" because every single state persists in its prejudicial refusal to issue driver's licenses to bigfoots (bigfeet?).
Also, I resent your assumption that they would run over animals if they were allowed to drive.

Ever been to Miami, C-bol? we've got plenty of bigfeet and leadfeet and roadkill. Florida does not discriminate.

*Snork* at Hammie.

Ah sheesh I was posted and I missed it! Dang day.
Siouxie--ya gotta come! Note: someone referenced Bend as the key quote above, but despite that-- this event does happen in my town. Not that you & I would actually participate, but its a really good excuse for a party which is more about what this town is about.
I'd recommend waiting till June cause tonight its gonna be below zero, which frankly is no big deal because you stop feeling the difference at about 15 degrees. You inhale, your nose hairs freeze and you realize-holy crap! ITS COLD!
Also: In all fairness, I knew nothing about this event till a friend of mine in South Carolina emailed me the link.

Heck, I'm about twenty minutes away from (a creek called) Boggy Creek (not the one in Fouke, AR.) For the price of an 8th of a tank of gas (and maybe some really good excuses, in case someone finds me in their pasture), I'd be golden!

I have already been in Gallipoli actually and I enjoyed the staying in the old part of Troy for this time and visiting the historical monuments there. I took a private guide to visit gallipoli and troy I can say that these places are fantastic http://www.toursingallipoli.com I visited these places by recommendation of my friend and even I am not so interested in Historical places I was very affected by these monuments. These places are must while visiting gallipoli. I thought that these places are best attractions to see in gallipoli. You can just spend 4 hours for that. Thank you so much…
