THERE IS A SEASON
There's a new box set of Byrds songs out, and here's a nice story on Roger McGuinn, who sometimes plays with the Rock Bottom Remainders, which makes us feel (and sound) a whole lot better.

Ah, "Feel A Whole Lot Better," a great but lesser hit of theirs. At the time noted for beginning very similarly to "Hey, Joe" (the Leaves version; not Hendrix, of course.)
Hardly more than E and A, Dave. Go for it.

Nice piece about Roger.
Along with millions of other kids, I think I spent the better part of my high school years trying to learn the solo in the Byrd's Feel a Whole Lot Better.
And thank god. The alternative was studying for physics or Spanish exams, etc., and perhaps (tragically) winding up with a real job.
