so... is the message: recycling is for "squirrels"? (and i mean that in the nerdiest way possible)

Once we had Smokey the Bear's
Stern warnings and masterful airs.
But today's boys and girls
Just get goofy old squirrels.
and whatever he's selling, who cares?

I think they're recycling that costume - the bottom part looks like McGruff the Crime-fighting Dog.
