So far 1,623 is my high score.
Posted by: Sarcasmo | October 25, 2005 at 05:50 PM
I use "score" in the loosest sense of the term since there was no skill involved.
Posted by: Sarcasmo | October 25, 2005 at 05:51 PM
1648, prooving I have even less skills!
Posted by: Tracey | October 25, 2005 at 05:54 PM
after a while it start to look like the 'before' picture of a beard in a razor ad.
Posted by: insomniac | October 25, 2005 at 05:56 PM
Got lucky... 3031 on my third try.
Posted by: Got lucky | October 25, 2005 at 05:56 PM
and 1,990 !
Posted by: insomniac | October 25, 2005 at 05:59 PM
Totally skill-free...and also slightly hypnotic.

my %$^^&**$#$%^^ computer NEVER lets me play these any more. just a blank screen with a little x in the upper left hand corner.
Posted by: lollyk | October 25, 2005 at 06:07 PM
1658. And at the rate I'm going, this 'skill' is one more thing to add to my resume once I hit the unemployment line...

At 2044 smoke was coming out of my computer!

2626, and my wife absolutely hates the sound it makes.
Posted by: random thunking | October 25, 2005 at 06:39 PM
ooooo, look at the pretty swirly things!
Posted by: Guin | October 25, 2005 at 06:47 PM
Gee, I got up to 299 before I read everyone's post and thought I was doing great *sigh*
*zips out to find new friends*

That's kinds fun, in a mindless sort of way ...
I thot it was cool when I got all the little blue lines pointing in the same direction ... like a page full of commas, or apostrophes ...
Posted by: U.O | October 25, 2005 at 08:22 PM
1274 was my best
Posted by: homey beef | October 25, 2005 at 08:41 PM
944 the first time, dismal thereafter so far . . .
Posted by: BLT | October 25, 2005 at 08:43 PM
but... there IS skill involved, right? Ok, maybe not physical skill, but thinking skills. I mean, you have to logically think ahead and figure out the pattern that will give you the most hits, then set up the pattern without triggering it prematurely (like dominoes) Or am I over thinking this?

I dunno about you, but that would fall under the classification of "wishful" thinking, in my case ...

Shhhh....don't tell anyone, but my daughter just IM'd me in the middle of this activity; and when the IM window appeared over the grid, it kept 'reacting' with no further help from me for several thousand units. Heh heh heh. Too bad this knowledge is of no conceivable practical use.

I got up to 2878 trying to make logical patterns... but only because my pattern was flawed and it went off prematurely. (I hate it when that happens) Now I'm reduced to just clicking it randomly. Wheee! Pretty swirly designs!

So looks I guess I'm the only one channeling Monk here and trying to get them to all face the same way. Yeah? Thought so.
Posted by: Kaylee | October 26, 2005 at 01:32 AM
El, I thought the same thing. I had 387 and though I was the swirl-diggity.
*sigh*

3228... and haven't come close since!

Long time blurker, here. You guys start my day with a laugh
I thought 489 was good, now I will just have spend another hour until I get at least 4 digits
Posted by: Spasmatic | October 26, 2005 at 07:39 AM
geez my best was 1084...i was all proud til i read all your scores!! :)
Posted by: Theresa V. | October 26, 2005 at 08:13 AM
This has certainly enhanced my productivity. It was surprisingly time consuming to get all of the tiles facing the same way. That was more fun for me than just clicking randomly. Once I clicked in a corner, 982 went off. Since I got 929 clicking randomly, I figured that was nothing special, and after checking out other people's scores here, I am sure. Perhaps I need to come up with another strategy.
Posted by: Kalyani | October 26, 2005 at 08:37 AM
Kaylee, I was trying to do that, too. I guess that's why my high score was only 1190.
Posted by: ceeg22 | October 26, 2005 at 08:37 AM
Graz, you are always the swirl-diggity. (Why does that sound dirty?)
Posted by: neophyte | October 26, 2005 at 08:47 AM
1736 on first click...
Posted by: Brazil | October 26, 2005 at 09:47 AM
Finally broke the four-digit mark at 1305. But the only reason I keep trying is that the tile-cascade has this soothing-hypnotic quality to it.

I found myself thinking about how I'd write a program to tell me where to click to get the longest chain reaction.

I wanted them all facing the same way as well, Kaylee.
What's Freud got to say about that, I wonder?
Posted by: Tamara | October 26, 2005 at 11:15 AM
I got a score of 1 twice in a row; can anyone beat that? Oh, are we supposed to get the highest score? Never mind, then.
Posted by: Marty | October 26, 2005 at 12:42 PM
It is definitely possible to get them all facing the same way. I think it might be possible to set up an infinitely loop, but I don't have that much patience.
Posted by: Joel | October 26, 2005 at 02:32 PM
Yes...sitting here in my office at my highly paid job, I have succeeded in getting them lined up like little soldiers facing northwest, southeast, etc, in addition to creating subsidiary phalaxes (phalances?) facing in opposite directions, much like a college marching band (maybe Cal Tech?). I find this immensely soothing, and only hope that it's just a management lie that they are monitoring our webuse at all ti...

Has anyone gotten any lower than 8? I consider it a number of distinction. I am going to try to get 1.
Posted by: Bucket | October 26, 2005 at 07:41 PM
Yeah, 1 is easy ... I've done it hunnerds of times ...
... oh ... wrong joke ... my bad ...
Posted by: U.O | October 26, 2005 at 08:20 PM
I know the guy who made that (kind of). I made one m'self. It's mostly just supposed to slow down your computer though.

2157. And yes, that sound is soothing..
