YOU KNOW HOW THEY SAY NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED?

Turns out it's true.

first?

Meyer said Newman probably would not serve any more jail time relating to incident. And he would not rule out the possibility of the charge being dropped altogether."Anything is possible," Meyer said.Bah! Meyer's too soft. If you let dangerous criminals like Newman go free, good people will be afraid to drown in our city streets once more!

next you know, he'll be brought up on charges of malicious cookie-delivering too

NEWMAN!

hello ........ igloo.

you read my mind.

"Anything is possible," Meyer said.

Yeah, I hafta agree after reading that article, 'cuz I wouldn't believe they arrest him until I read it. What next? Guillotine?

so where the heck is San Marcos? we don't arrest people in the U.S. for saving lives - do we???

blurkerette: Thanks for the reminder. I wonder what happened to that bitch who got the cookie girls in trouble.

(Which would make a good name for a porno movie:
Cookie Girls in Trouble)

TCK: apparently they do in Texas.

He was swimming under a building???? Somebody wanna splain that one to me?

rufus: It's not as crowded under buildings as it is in the public swimming pools.

TCK, San Marcos is just North of Houston, Texas.

Although some people in that fine state think it should be a country all its own, it still is a part of the union. Personally, if they are starting to arrest people for saving lives, I'd like to take a vote on whether they should stay in the union or not.

Anyone second that?

Y'all - San Marcos is between Austin and San Antonio - not north of Houston.

I used to have a freind from Texas - when he met new people, he always said "I'm from Texas - what country are you from?"

O.E.
Yes I read your mind and if I were you (not ewe or yew or even U), I would seek help. There are competent mental health professionals in just about every city.
Good Luck.

ARRRGGHHH!
Guin has given the blog Stretch Marks!
Run for your lives!

if they arrest you for saving people from swimming under buildings in Texas, imagine what they would do to people throwing beer bottles at cop cars

reneviht,
That clears it up. Thanks

warning: useless information alert!

I went to college in san marcos, texas from 1987-1991.

it used to be called "southwest texas state university" when I attended.

they have since changed the name to "texas state university".

that is all.

long tall texan - did you ever try throwing a beer bottle at a police car in San Marcos - just curious

long tall texan--did you ever try saving the life of a drowning man? How many years did you serve in prison for it?

hmmm - I'm so ashamed to admit I live in TX....

First they take away the right to carry an open container in the car..

Then - they quit letting us carry loaded weapons...

Now - they arrest someone for saving someone else's life??

I'll have to picket my country of Texas representative (note to self: put on to-do list)

WE have a city named San Marcos here in San Diego County but since we are a drought state no one ever drowns under a building - that I know of....

Guin stretched the margins!
Guin's in a lot of trouble!
Guin, the principal wants t o see you in her
office immediately!
HAHAHAHAHA!
and
*neener*

*goes back to sticking her chewing gum under her desk*

*please don't hurt me*

*slinks off, whimpering*

While living in Texas, one of my good friends was a cop. She was nuts.

I'm talkin' down right NOT RIGHT in the head.

That is all.

s'ok guin...i did that once (stm's) and i survived...the scars barely show at all now!

n ppfftt...i thot' only san diego cops made brilliant decisions like this one.
ref: `bout a year ago, a well known, in the area, and "harmless", according to witnesses, "deranged" person, neglected to take his meds one day. as he was wandering down a street fussin' & cussin', the cops approached him. he picked up a piece of wood (branch?) and made threatening statements. they shot him dead.
lotta elements to this. but Dead? tuh...what is this world coming to. i thought we were supposed to Protect our tired, our poor.
sorry, not funny. just makes me very frustrated with our latest nazi leanings.

"long tall texan - did you ever try throwing a beer bottle at a police car in San Marcos - just curious"

YES - I ONCE THREW A BEER BOTTLE AT A COP IN SAN MARCOS AND CAUSED HIS PATROL CAR TO CAREEN OUT OF CONTROL AND INTO THE SAN MARCOS RIVER.

"long tall texan--did you ever try saving the life of a drowning man? How many years did you serve in prison for it?"

YES - I ONCE JUMPED INTO THE SAN MARCOS RIVER TO SAVE A DROWNING COP.

I WAS LUCKY - I WAS ONLY GIVEN 2 YEARS PROBATION.

open containers in the car - they just took ours away in Montana too - but not until Oct 1

we can still carry loaded weapons tho

open containers in cars - I'll miss that - they just took ours away in Montana too - but not til Oct 1

oops - sorry for the double (does apoligizing for it make it even more annoying?)

It is not mentioned in the article, but how many beers had Newman consumed?

C-bol, when swimming or tubin' down the river, it is a requirement that a case or ten dozen of beer be stringed between friends. This stringing of beer cans keeps them cool yet always available to those who thirst.

Open container's still allowed in Montana? So is carrying a loaded weapon? That sounds like heaven, even if you are located outside of the Republic of Texas. I may come for a visit and check ya'll out.

I'm going home to start packin'. I'll need my shotgun, my dawg, my teeth and my cooler of Bubba-Beer-Lite. See ya' soon!

Lindy Lou - you're welcome to come and spend money and shoot at a few things - but don't plan on staying - and leave the lite beer at home - we drink real beer

Dang liberal, activist judges.

We've all heard of blacksmiths and gunsmiths, but how many people had ever heard of a dicksmith?

By way of supporting evidence: Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves, Tsar Alexander II freed the serfs in Russia, and BOTH died at the hands of assassins.
