I bet those stupid politicians only widened and improved it after 113 years because there was an election coming up.
Reminds me of when Billy Connolly was talking about how old everything was in Scotland. He said there was a town called Newbridge named after its 'new'bridge... from the 1100s!

So ... if we are to believe parts of Beth's blog that contradict each other ... (as in: the dates that do not match) the only logical conclusion we might reach is that when she found her guru on Bastille Day, he enlightened her so much that her newfound equilibrium enabled her to travel back in time so she could meet her appointment in Samarra ... and thus die in an explosion in Pakistan, 10 weeks before her last blog post ...
Makes sense to me ...
