Now it's my turn to be distracted:
"If you're interested, up can post a picture of yourself with a few details," Wyatt said.
Up? What an odd typo to make. Unless, of course, Up is in charge of posting the pictures.

"We've heard that one couple that met on singles night is now married," Wyatt said.
wonder if the reception was held in the wal - mart parking lot?

Ah, but can you return them for a full refund if you are not satisfied? Or do you need to keep the original packaging?

so how do you try to impress your date when you first meet at Wal-Mart?
I'm actually surprised Germans would trust their destiny to a large soulless entity with a reputation for ruthlessly exterminating its competition.

Insomniac: This is the relationship business. Which ideally ends up the marriage business. Which one could then argue the merits of soullessness and marriage....

like I'd date anybody who shops at Wal-Mart!
Posted by: ceeg22 | July 19, 2005 at 10:51 AM
OK, think about this. How many of the people you saw during your last trip to Wal-Mart would you consider dating?
They must get a better class of shopper at those German Wal-Marts.

Ceeg22- Exactly!
Walmart is for a)Lovers of the Corporatization of America (i.e. Repubs) and b) Ignorant folks who don't see/care how they're contributing to the demise of the American Middle Class (i.e. Repubs).
Race ya to the bottom!!!
Booger,

OK - I have to stick up for people who shop at walmart - I buy beer there all the time (it's cheaper there)
on the other hand, since I don't actually drink the beer there, I've never had the urge to ask a walmart shopper out

Well, since I'm boycotting Wal!Mart for being the souless, evil empire that it is, I guess I won't meet Mr. Right.
But I think I'll go down to K-Mart for the Blue Light Special they're having on Mr. Right Now.

sly -
I could offer some sarcastic remark (moi?) about how I don't shop at Kameapart 'cuz they have a convicted felon shilling for them ... but I won't, 'cuz the real reason I don't like to go there is that their marketing gurus have been out of touch with what it takes to get me to spend my money there ...
Their aisles are often crowded (with merchandise), their displays are not attractive or aesthetically pleasing (pretentious? moi?) to me, and often their selection of available goods leaves something to be desired ... namely, the product I'm looking for ...
besides which already, when comparison shopping by prices (among the sweatshop-exploitive evil-minded competition-destroying giant chains, for example), if I'm going to bother looking, I prefer the one with the lowest cost ... even if it's only a penny or two ...
No, I don't work at Waldo's ... nor do I have any relatives who do ... altho my cousin helped Sambo go public all those years ago ... I still dunno how I feel about that skeleton in the family closet ...

*Falls back on floor laughing, but with a vaguely uneasy feeling.*

My only question--will the fitting rooms remain open to try on your selection?
Posted by: martinishark | July 20, 2005 at 03:35 AM
