When they outlaw deadly venomous snakes, then... well you know the rest.

I kept waiting for the part where he says "...and then I realized that maybe this business just wasn't for me."

The Town Fathers ban venomous snakes... but permit CPAs to practice within the city limits?

“If you teach people to appreciate venomous snakes,” Palmer said, “you can teach them to appreciate all forms of wildlife.”
Umm, yeah. That's akin to Rip Torn's line in Dodgeball: "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball."

Now I want to see it again.

i'm confused on why his parents had him committed after his arrest for leaving the dog in the truck. shouldn't they have committed him after he started collecting the snakes?!!?
Posted by: crossgirl | July 18, 2005 at 11:45 AM
I'm guessing the actions of his parents had more to do with his various 'protests' (quote, with the fingers in the air making the little quote marks, don't you hate it when people do that?) than with his arrest.

Dave R, can I assume you are an attorney? Only reason I can think to have gone with "CPA" there instead of "lawyer".
Posted by: Moe, CPA (seriously) | July 18, 2005 at 11:53 AM
Reason for CPA -- lawyer was too easy.

Stay safe, Russell. Even better, get off the island for a few days.
Posted by: Moe | July 18, 2005 at 12:33 PM
or venomous ones either...

If no one else is going to point it out I feel the obvious must be stated: The Cobra Garden WBAGNFARB.

Russell - your local meterologist's name is Joe Bastardi? For real? Whoa...
How about Joe Bastardi and the Hurricanes WBAGNFARB
P.S. Russell - ditto the "stay safe" comment

Aunt Nancy --
I second your "stay safe" wishes for Russell, but I wonder how safe anyone can really be, when the city council allows lawyers and CPAs to roam loose ...

的t felt like there was a quarter pressing down on my tongue
I'm sitting here with a quarter on my tongue. Can't really say there's a lot of pressure.

The baggage must have turned up!

For the record, I actually know a guy named Dewey. He lives in Florida now, but he is from - you guessed it - Texas.
(I do not, however, know anything about his snake.)
