LIKE A MOBIUS STRIP
The kitten has two faces.... a story sent in by Wes Kenney and a woman named Cat...originally written by Dan Traylor, designer of the Dave Barry for President seething juggernaut bumper sticker... in a contest on the message board...which was the result of Dave's column... which doesn't actually have two faces, so we're not sure where we're going with this... but it seemed like a good idea at the time...like so many things do.

“If she makes it, she should be a perfectly normal and healthy cat. Other than having two faces.”
This brought to you by The Department of the Obvious and Kitten Chow, who reminds you to feed ALL the faces of your new kitten.

scat -
as I said on some other thread, if my newest grandson is born on Dave's birthday, I'll somehow persuade my son to name him "Dave Barry, Too" ... tho I don't know how successful I'll be with my daughter-in-law ... or her parents ... or My Bride ... or his brother ... or ... anyone, but moi ownself, and Dave ... and mebbe St. Judi ... ?
Would that be horrible enuf to use as rock lyrics?

r.e. the two-faced cat ... a question ...
So, if this friend of mine who ...
no ... the last time I mentioned this, it started a HUGE firestorm of comments that were generally not in agreement with my information and described use of feline critters ...
I can hear the nickels jingling already ...
nevermind

... um ... St. Judi ...
I hate to get picky, but the defining feature of a Mobius strip is that it has only one side, and one edge (not like the kitten in question, here) ... which makes it sorta self-contradictory or oxymoronish or something, but tremendously interesting, to math geeks, at least ...

right, u.o.... i couldn't make it loop, but i was trying.

Jones? Kasem? Sean O' ...? Omar the Tentmaker?
Nope, scat, sorry, not even close ...
and no, as far as I know, Dylan and Ethan din't make the short list ... besides big brother's ideas (Pablo, Shrek 2, preschool playmates, cousins ...) the latest I've heard is that Reid is on the short list, and Reagan (as in "Ronnie Ray-Gun" of Star Wars fame) might still be in the running ... (no, I din't raise his dad as a Republican!) ... but we'll just wait ... Big brother's name is Wyatt, which we really like, especially since he could say his name from almost day one ... Uuuuuuuuurrrrp! -- Sorry, old Stan Freberg joke there ...)
Pet names are great ... another grandson is known (by me, mostly) as "Sydney" ... 'cuz when he was little, I was watching Casablanca (or maybe it was The Maltese Falcon?) and then I looked at the critter, and they were TWINS! Sorry, local joke, you had to have been there ...

St. Judi ...
Yeah, I know, that's what's so cool about the Mobius Strip ... (I used to be a math geek, back in HS ... quite a few years before your photo that Dave posted ...)

I remember a story about a dog with two faces that was born and died in like March or April
Posted by: who | June 25, 2005 at 04:53 PM
“I kind of feel sorry for her, because I can’t know for a fact if she’s going to live or die,” its owner, Lee Bluetear, told the (Roseburg) News-Review. “If she makes it, she should be a perfectly normal and healthy cat. Hell, she could be a perfectly normal and healthy lawyer.”

The Spearmint Cat
by jaws
A cat with two faces
was quite out of places
Ate twice as much kibble
for four times the dribble
Was worried about a good fitting collar
Had frolic and fun
doubled under the sun
With double the vision
hard time with decisions
Had a good bed on the back of Ted's neck
We have no more kitty
give us all your pity
Would you like to buy
a story to cry
About our short-lived Spearment Cat?

Aw crap, that should've been the "Doublemint Cat". Well, I guess I should go study up on past posts of snif and slowlayne before posting any more poetry.
