When judi is first! on a thread by a REAL leader like Dave (not the weak, credit card number-stealing wannabe kind), there really, simply can't be anything else to say.

In fact, there is so little else to say, I had something to say, twice.

Doesn't he know you have to at least serve people dried out chicken when you're stealing from them to fund your campaign?
Posted by: Christobol | April 23, 2005 at 08:01 AM

I would said 99% of Americans presidents has taken some form of value from their contry. What do I mean by all Americans presidents? Well, all the ones born in the American continent are Americans.

John -
Hadda go over your statement/premisce a second time, to be sure I know (or think I know) what you mean, but ...
Yeah, you pretty much got that right ...
Posted by: U.O | April 23, 2005 at 08:59 AM
Sheesh!
... premise ...
Must be somebody named Murphy around here ...

I have to say I'm impressed with Judi's assigned work station. Work seems to occur there, judging by the wite-out and file folders, which I suspect are all labelled "miscellaneous." And you got to love the stuffed hot dog being warmed atop the monitor. But most impressive is the window view, which seems to feature the backs of posters displayed for what I'm guessing is the news room. The office has that "lived in" look. Actually it almost has that "I live here" look.

ya'll are just now finding the office pics on davebarry.com? {sob}... if you guys don't even go there, why do i bother!? lol

Hmmm.... we've got elections in New Zealand this year. I had better keep an eye on my credit card.
Posted by: Kafaleni | April 23, 2005 at 10:52 AM
Sheesh. What kind of world do we live in where credit card frauds can steal more money than world leaders?!
(Hi, Eleanor. I've been out of town for most of a month.)

Vote for Bustamonte...
Now, No Annual Fee !
Posted by: insomniac | April 23, 2005 at 03:20 PM
OMG!
I'm in LOVE!
(I especially like how St. Judi is not so proud that she has given in to vanity, and had her narural nose altered by surgery.)
(That's not her nose? ... um ... nevermind ...)
Posted by: U.O | April 23, 2005 at 03:43 PM
... natural ... not narural ...
IASVS!!!

Is that Dave's blue shirt Judi's wearing?
Posted by: everysandwich | April 23, 2005 at 04:05 PM
Brainy Jello: Which one is Judi?
Posted by: reneviht | April 23, 2005 at 05:29 PM
rene - I'm not sure what you're suggesting there, but as U.O. pointed out, she's the one with the Weinermobile for a nose.

Paul McCartney, the Mafia, and Dave Barry walk into a bar......
Posted by: AlanBoss | April 23, 2005 at 09:17 PM
I've waited, like, 20 minutes for the story on the original link to load and I have given up. (Okay, not really 20 minutes. My time is somewhat mre valuable than that.) So instead of commenting on it, I'm going to go completely off topic.
Does anyone else think that it's strange that Microsoft's new slogan for WindowsXP is "The choice is yours?"
Posted by: AlanBoss | April 23, 2005 at 09:21 PM
Judi - I read that article when it was originally published, and I've since decided that reality TV owes Dave some serious cash. If Fear Factor isn't a direct rip-off from that article, then nothing is.
Posted by: Brainy Jello | April 24, 2005 at 06:40 AM
Yeah, I remember reading that column when it first appeared ... "reality" TV is a definite rip-off ...
judi - I'm assuming the ayla you refer to is the infamous one in all those Cave Bear books ... I quit reading them before she got to the discovery of polio vaccine or nuke-u-lar energy ... couldn't stand it any longer ... sorry ...
Posted by: U.O | April 24, 2005 at 07:15 AM
You know,if Martha Stewart can get a reality show, why can't Dave Barry?
AlanBoss -- I think Microsoft's slogan is strange. Sounds as if their strategy is to lose that monopoly stank.
Posted by: everysandwich | April 24, 2005 at 07:18 AM
now if we could just lose the Microsoft stank ...
Posted by: U.O | April 24, 2005 at 09:48 AM
U.O. -- When I'm done repairing my registry I'll applaud your lofty long-term goal.

Bustamante for Pres: Fantastic!
His morals, though, kind of elastic
When casting your ballot
Just pull out your wallet
And check under 'paper' or 'plastic'.
Posted by: insomniac | April 24, 2005 at 08:11 PM
HA!
or Hi! ...take your pick :D
Posted by: alisaren | April 24, 2005 at 09:14 PM
careful who you say 'take your pick' to, alisaren. There is more than one interpretation to that phrase.
Posted by: Marvin | Paranoid Android | April 25, 2005 at 12:22 AM
Yeah, M/PA -- we gotta remember that we can pick our friends and we can pick our politicians and we can pick some oranges and we can even pick our nose ... but we can't pick our relatives ...
Posted by: U.O | April 25, 2005 at 04:09 AM
judi, ayla sure did invent everything else. If she'd forseen tv, she'd have invented it, too.
By the way, I have some up-close-and-personal photos of Dave's chair.......
