416.43....but what are the things in the hatches? Seals or walruses? Or is it walrii?
Posted by: Graz | March 19, 2004 at 07:35 AM
That was high throw...not total.
Posted by: Graz | March 19, 2004 at 07:36 AM
My sources tell me 785.3 is the highest possible.
Posted by: ed | March 19, 2004 at 07:45 AM
458.13..and they are seals as the header reads. Look like I am not going to work today.
Posted by: Graz | March 19, 2004 at 07:47 AM
I'm really enjoying this one. These just keep getting better and better.
Graz: I'm AT work playing this.
Posted by: Christopher | March 19, 2004 at 07:58 AM
What is the trick to this one? I can't seem to break 300...
Posted by: thirdman | March 19, 2004 at 08:00 AM
I smell a tie-in to Dave's Penguin Putnam-printed books.
Posted by: Jon | March 19, 2004 at 08:54 AM
Apparently Yeti's really have it in for penguins...
Posted by: Lee | March 19, 2004 at 09:03 AM
Anybody want to take odds that there's a version out there where the seals eat the penguin?
Posted by: eadn | March 19, 2004 at 09:11 AM
And here i was planning to go to sleep early...
Posted by: Bangladeshi_gurl | March 19, 2004 at 09:20 AM
my highest toss only 400ish . . . but i had a total duration time of over 1200
i guess it's now official
i will be fired before the weekend
don't they always fire people on Fridays anyway?
Posted by: workerbee | March 19, 2004 at 09:53 AM
I will go forth and second thirdman - what's the trick to going above 300 or so?
(Much more of this and I'm going to start downing a fifth... which wouldn't be a first!)
Posted by: Rob | March 19, 2004 at 09:53 AM
Okay. This is the last game. Wait- that was a crappy score. Okay... ONE more game. That's a pretty good score. Okay, just until I beat 401.26. Or wait... Until i beat 411.3.
You know, someone should really answer this stupid &*(%& phone... Oh, right. that's my job...

Dear Doug ( hope u read this)
-I felt compelled to return the favour.
doug brockmeier comes out as
Mocked Bio Urger
( the viagra everyone made fun of)
Posted by: Bangladeshi_gurl | March 19, 2004 at 09:54 AM
And I had hoped to work today.
Oh, well.
So far, my best height is 327... but I can do better!
Posted by: paperclip | March 19, 2004 at 10:12 AM
Throw from 9 to noon (or midnight) on the swing. Made 400+ on a lucky straight up. Seems to be my lucky day. Got a 5-seal kick-up on one and a triple-looper back to the same seal on another. Hope this helps. Alas, I haven't beaten the best score posted...yet....
Posted by: eadn | March 19, 2004 at 10:18 AM
the "boss" option (hitting "b") is great!! did the other game have that too? But, I think I'll stick with "alt-tab" since I don't think my boss would believe that the pie chart is part of the database I'm working on...
Posted by: paperclip | March 19, 2004 at 10:19 AM
What is your preferred release method? Click to start and click to release, or click and hold... release to release?
I am taking this very seriously. I gotta get 300+ or I am going to be here forever.

OT: I just noticed that South by Southwest is featuring the band "The Urinals" at Emo's Jr. tomorrow night. Should I go and put pennies on them for everyone here? Barbiguiness, wanna help?
Posted by: Lee | March 19, 2004 at 10:27 AM
thirdman, the second one of your choices. Just made a height of 399 and total score of 909 :-)
Posted by: eadn | March 19, 2004 at 10:42 AM
At least the penguin is enjoying himself in this one.
Posted by: Jon | March 19, 2004 at 10:52 AM
Best fling: 401 (and change). Best score:
1,463.70.
I am now going to stagger from the old "workplace"
(definitely a misnomer today)) out into a sunny day on the cusp of spring, knowing that I did the best I could. Even if it wasn't good enough. Damn yeti. Need better quality penguins.......
Posted by: nouti | March 19, 2004 at 11:02 AM
Ohhh I hope this doesn't hurt the penguins.
Same thing I said about the first game. That twinge of guilt just doesn't go away....
Posted by: JCT | March 19, 2004 at 11:07 AM
Ok...I'm here at work and still playing...click and hold worked best for me...release at about 10 o'clock.....gotta get 5 seals help or more to get above 400....still haven't bettered my 458...
Posted by: Graz | March 19, 2004 at 11:08 AM
Hey, one that doesn't work in my browser. I am actually kind of thankful for that. Otherwise I'd get nothing accomplished for the next two hours. Although now I think I should play Mini-Golf.

..Coo-coo, Ka-choo.

Jimminy, mini putt is just WRONG! 8 frickin strokes on the par 2 18th.

Lee:
Hmmm, that would probably be an improvement from how I usually spend saturday night. But we'd have to be really quiet or the APD will shoot us with pepperspray.
Posted by: Barbiguinness | March 19, 2004 at 12:09 PM
Oh, wait. I have no wristband. I can't believe I'm going to miss the Urinals! *sob*
Posted by: Barbiguinness | March 19, 2004 at 12:12 PM
Dang! I don't have a wristband either! I can't believe I need a wristband just to go see the Urinals! Probably for the best; I'm sure I'd get peppersprayed for throwing pennies. Worse, no one there would get the joke...
Oh well, I'll just keep leaving pennies on random urinals around town...
Posted by: Lee | March 19, 2004 at 12:24 PM
So how many of you/us are actually in Austin, TX?
Posted by: thirdman | March 19, 2004 at 01:56 PM
Not me! Not me! I will not take responsibility for the President's actions! I'm in PacNW, we make our own fups.
Posted by: eadn | March 19, 2004 at 02:42 PM
405.11! Ha! I scoff at you lousy penguin-throwers! Ha!

Echo!!

I tried this last night on the PC and it works great, how come on my iMac today it is in slow motion (and no fun either)?
Posted by: John | March 21, 2004 at 03:21 AM
Well, I'm glad you all enjoyed the game.
I spent all day Friday playing - my best was a 430 throw and 1561 total (of course, I got to practice it before I sent it to Dave).
And if your boss tries to fire you - blame it on the penguin, he obviously did something wrong!
