Here's Justin Bieber, the 15-year-old Canadian pop sensation at The Early Show on CBS live from South Beach this morning. Seems that Bieber's fans are almost as rabid, if not more so, than Lady Gaga's mobbing and rushing the scene to get a glimpse or perhaps a feel of their little Lego-coiffed Weeble who was up way past his bedtime last night, performing at the free Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam with Rihanna and Timbaland. And while we know Bieber is well protected, guarded and handled and won't be showing up at LIV anytime soon, we hope his people keep those packs of crazy cougars away from him. They're scarier than some of the singing was at that concert last night.
Spotted at the South Beach penthouse of business wunderkind and Tara Reid and Joanna Krupa ex Wayne Boich last night for the Athlete's Relief Fund for Haiti benefit hosted by Alonzo and Tracy Mourning, who created the charity along with Dwyane Wade, and Jerry Powers where tables were $5,000 a pop: Chris Rock, Wilmer Valderrama, Alex Rodriguez, David Spade and Kim Kardashian, overheard gushing to pals how much she loved the Grey Goose L'Orange Big Easy cocktail which reminded her of her Saintly beau Reggie Bush. Whatever. We hear her mom Kris Jenner was also there, standing in for her daughter's busy footballer boyfriend. The event raised $100,000 for relief efforts, which is all that matters, but makes us wonder how much of that was or wasn't donated by some of the celebs in attendance. A source tells us that while the celebs didn't have to pay to get into the party, per se, they "did donate money to the charity." Hmmm. .
So here's' the story: Kicking off their Super Skins Celebrity Golf Tournament benefiting the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund with a Thursday night party at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach, NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson, NY Giants quarterback Eli Manning, and singer Nick Lachey posed for pix with a man dressed as Captain Morgan (as in the rum), in town with Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek, raising money for The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund. And while there's no reason to scoff at the whole charity thing, the pictures here are screaming for captions. Here's ours and please, by all means, send us yours.
Caption: After his album was put on hold and the gig hosting a capella flop The Sing-Off, former boy bander Nick Lachey finally snagged an interview at Disney World for a plum position playing a swashbuckler in the theme park's popular Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Caption: Against the advice of his agent, Nick Lachey auditions to be a contestant on the game show Arrrgggh You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?
Real Caption: Johnson, Manning, Captain Morgan and his harem.
First it was the Colts vs. the Saints at BED on Monday. Then, last night at Diddy's Big Game kick off party at Cameo it was Braylon Edwards vs. Bryant McKinnie (in tow with Lil Kim on his arm), who engaged in a bottle war in which they tried to out-purchase each other with bottles of Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial which were brought out with much fanfare and sparklers. While Edwards' 30 bottles were outdone by McKinnie's 33, the two were crushed by Ne-Yo, who was at sister club Mansion where he bought a whopping 50 bottles. Big winner here clearly was Moët.
In town for assorted Super Bowl festivities including one with fashion designer Richie Rich last night at the player-heavy Club Play, Pamela Anderson, who is prepping for her upcoming gig on Dancing With the Stars, spent some quality time with her bff James Davis, a.k.a. drag diva Elaine Lancaster, who clearly did her makeup last night. Anderson's ex, Tommy Lee, is also doing a gig at Club Play, this one on Saturday night, hosted by Chris Brown and featuring a spin--off between Lee and T-Pain, of all people. How's that for a threesome: Brown, uh, Pain, and Lee. A motley crew indeed.
It's so nice to see the rival teams getting along so well. Following their Monday night feasts at Prime 112 and Prime Italian, the teams were shuttled over to BED for the Secret Society Monday party, where the Colts took the right side and the Saints took the left. "They were having a rose champagne war with sparklers," says our source. Both teams played until around 4:30 in the morning when they returned to their respective hotels via NFL chauffeured SUVs. Too bad they weren't staying at the same hotel, where they could have had a big pillow fight with each other before going to sleep.
While the New Orleans Saints were stuffing their faces with all sorts of pasta at Prime Italian last night, across the street at the restaurant's meaty sister Prime 112 were the Indianapolis Colts. And while that's a fun fact in itself, even more fun was the presence of Jared Fogle, aka Jared the Subway Guy, an Indianapolis native. After dinner at Prime 112, Fogle went across the street and was received with a welcome fit for Super Bowl champs. "He walked into the restaurant and Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and everyone started chanting 'Jared, Jared, Jared.'" Meanwhile, former Pittsburgh Steelers player Franco Harris played both sides of the field, too, eating at Prime 112 and then crossing over to see the Saints. Harris, showing no allegiance either way, bought both teams bottles of Cristal champagne. A nice gesture, but the players were said to be much more excited by Subway Guy. How easily they are amused.
Is it us, or does Reggie Bush look a little apprehensive in this picture? Could it be the impending game, which, if he wins, he not only gets a ring, but so does girlfriend Kim Kardashian? Or could it be that he is afraid he may run into one of his alleged ex Miami gal pals--one in particular who may have contributed to the couple's past break-up? Whatever the case, here's the couple at the New Orleans Saints host hotel, the InterContinental Miami, earlier today as posted by Kardashian herself via Twitter. While Bush has a marriage game to worry about, Kardashian has nothing but parties, hosting the Leather and Laces event Friday night at the Paris Theatre on South Beach and having her name listed on the guest lists of what seems like seventy other events she may or may not show up to. In fact, Bush isn't the only one who may be grappling with things. We hear some publicists are actually arguing over who gets Kardashian at their parties first. That's like camels fighting over grains of sand in the desert. As one of Miami's most ubiqutious party fixtures, there's plenty of her to go around.
As more events are announced, this post will be updated so keep checking back for the latest information. And one word of caution, just because celebs have been "invited" doesn't mean they will show. In fact, we're still waiting for an RSVP to our dinner party in 2003 from Brad Pitt. And take every list with a grain of salt or a sense of humor--for instance, while Drew Rosenhaus may be a super agent, he does not have the power to get Plaxico Burress released from his two year prison sentence to attend his party.

Not so long ago, Hugh Hefner was looking for someone to throw his big Playboy Super Bowl party and now, conveniently, he not only has a sponsor--a very colorful one, no less--and a host venue. First the sponsor: none other than American Media, publishers of those illustrious supermarket tabloids National Enquirer, Globe and Star, where this blogger used to work in the pre-Anthrax days along with Palm Beach Post gossip columnist Jose Lambiet, who broke the news. Why them? Well it seems that AMI has bailed Plaboy out of near financial ruins, inking a deal to print, market and distribute the nudie mag. As for the venue? Why, The Sagamore, of course. The hotel that's rumored to become Miami's very first Playboy Hotel. Ironically it's Playboy that would be bailing The Sagamore out of its own financial slump. It's called synergy. Or something. Anyway, the party is set for February 6 at 9 p.m. A thousand tickets at $1,000 apiece will soon be available so read us for the articles and we'll keep you posted.
