It was a starry, starry night Thursday on Golden Beach when none other than Beyonce and Jay-Z turned up on shore after Mrs. Carter wrapped up a very "sexy" video shoot at the beachfront manse she rented out for the occasion. According to our sources on site, police--as far as we know, not Golden Beach's newest cop, Shaquille O'Neal--blocked off part of the tony town yesterday afternoon. The video was filmed at night and residents were told if they didn't film or take pictures during the shoot, Beyonce and her hubby, performing the final leg of his Legends of Summer tour tonight with Justin Timberlake at Sun Life Stadium, would come out and take pictures with them afterwards. They kept their words and made some peoples' nights and even lives. "Beyonce is beautiful!" gushed one witness. "Both could not have been kinder and more playful with the young kids and teenagers." Eyewitness Nicole Farchi Segal (pictured to the right of Beyonce above) agreed, saying, "It was an honor meeting them and they were incredibly nice!" As for the video, well, that wasn't exactly family friendly. "It was a very sexual Beyonce video coming out in four months."

Until last week, Aventura's Haleigh Youtie, 17, was just a regular teenager looking forward to attending college in Michigan in the fall. Then Justin Bieber sat next to her at the Miami Heat game and all of a sudden her face was catapulted into the social media stratosphere, becoming a subject of mystery, speculation and, in the case of some frenzied female Bieber fans, great jealousy--especially when the "mystery brunette's" picture appeared on the front page of London's Daily Mail, Extra, OMG Insider, Access Hollywood and even The Tonight Show. Before the Heat game was even over, Youtie, who did post on her social media accounts that Bieber, who refused to be photographed until someone brought a Miami Heat dancer over, wasn't the friendliest, she was getting threats from rabid fans and, says her mother Eileen, "more friend requests than you can count." We asked Haleigh her thoughts on the insanity and she said, "I got a taste of how fast social media works and of the positive and negative effects it can have on a person. I did have fun with it, though." We bet she did.

Philanthropist and The Real Housewives of Miami cast member Lea Black is really a mad social scientist of sorts, fusing a motley crew into one big philanthropic Petri dish. Her latest concoction was seen Saturday night at the Fontainebleau at her and her defense attorney husband Roy's haute hootenanny to raise money for a cause bigger than all the egos in the ballroom--children.
And while we expected some people to act like children, the whole scene was surprisingly civilized and drama free. Sure, there were the grand camera-ready entrances of RHOM cast members Lisa Hochstein and Joanna Krupa, in attendance with their RHOM alum, the smart one that got away, dentist Karent Sierra. The other half of that show was busy showing solidarity for each other and took their drama to the gay polo tournament in Wellington. Footage of both forthcoming, only by Bravo. There was also a handful of hilariously colorful women at the party who should have been cast on that show, especially the one who introduced herself to us saying, "I'm not a stripper. I'm not a hooker. I'm a socialite."
But it was nothing compared to the grandest entrance made by erstwhile cast member, drag queen Elaine Lancaster, who entered with long time BFF and recent, unofficial North Korean ambassador and Kim Jong-un idol Dennis Rodman. The duo was joined by former Miamian Lisa Pliner, who seemed to provide the larger than life Rodman with more than his fair share of amusement. Toto, we're not in Pyongyang anymore.
Speaking of North Korea, Rodman spoke to us exclusively on his controversial trip there. "I have been contacted by the FBI and I met with them. They wanted to know what went on and who's really in charge in North Korea. I have been invited back to North Korea in August and I want to go. I'm not a total idiot. I know what Kim Jong-un is threatening to do regarding his military muscle. I hope it doesn't happen because America will take whatever actions to protect America and our allies. I do think, umm, you know, that we have to talk to people who want to cause us harm so hopefully they won't. I've been talking to folks for years who don't get what I'm about but that's cool, 'cause once they walk away they like me. I might be able to keep folks' heads cool. We all going to find a way to get along and keep peace. Peace and love is where it is at, Lesley."
Indeed. But beyond those politics, there were no doubt party politics taking place around the room, as young Miami mixed with not so young Miami (and some famous visitors including Lance Bass and Kardashian appendage Jonathan Cheban, who talked to us about his aspirations to become the "next Simon Cowell," because of his penchant for judging people) for a fun filled night of selflessness despite the inevitable presence of a few party crashing freeloaders who were captured on camera not so surreptitiously lifting a VIP gift bag.
American Idol winner Taylor Hicks provided the dinner music, a mellow, bluesy mix of Doobie Brothers and Elton John, while local fave Flo Rida got the crowd--and some willing and able women--up off their feet, onto the stage and, for some, almost out of their clothes with a powerhouse show of his greatest hits.
So further beyond the politics, baubles, Botox and ballers, how much was raised? "We're still counting," Lea Black told us. "It was a packed house of people partying until one in the morning. Between Taylor Hicks, Flo Rida, DJ Whi5ker5 and his incredible light show, and all the generosity, it was, hands down, one of the best parties yet." We agree. In what universe would you ever expect to see Kim Jong-un in the same blog post as The Real Housewives, Taylor Hicks, Lance Bass and Flo Rida? Now that's so Miami.

Caption this: Mitt Romney orders a veggie burger and spends $52.72 (plus tip) at BurgerFi in Delray Beach
On Sunday night, Mitt Romney, wife Ann, one of their 18 sons (Craig), his wife and two kids, had dinner at Delray Beach's popular, upscale fast food chain BurgerFi, which stands for a non-word that perhaps Romney himself would utter in a debate: Burgerfication. While there, Romney ordered a VegeFi Burger Green Style made of quinoa and wrapped in lettuce. The Republican presidential candiate was staying across the street at the Delray Beach Marriott. For those who care about these things, here's Romney's entire order:
- 1 VegeFi Burger
- 2 Single Cheeseburger
- 1 Single Burger
- 1 VegeFi Burger Green Style
- 1 Cheeseburger
- 1 Regular Fries
- 1 Hand Spun Malt Shake
- 1 Hand Spun Shake
- 2 Dasani
Total: $52.72. He paid. And he left a tip.

You definitely didn't want to be in the shoes of certain Real Housewives of Miami cast members Wednesday afternoon at the just sold Star Island estate of shoe moguls Donald and Lisa Pliner. The couple hosted a classy ladies' luncheon followed by a fashion show of Lisa Pliner's 2012 fall collection of fab footwear, which some would argue were the real stars of the show.
All glammed up, made up, and wired like mafia rats were most of the cast: drag diva Elaine Lancaster, model Joanna Krupa who flew in from LA just for this particular scene--er, luncheon, plastic surgeon's wife Lisa Hochstein, dentist/model Karent Sierra, lawyer/chef Ana Quincoces, and returning cast members Lea Black, Adrianna De Moura, and Marysol Patton. Also in attendance and staying as far away from the cameras as possible was a gaggle of Miami society gals who were just there to see shoes and observe the scene.
And a scene it was, as the heat beat down on the glitz, creating a hot and bothered on-and off-camera situation between a few "Housewives" in particular, namely Patton and Lancaster, who had it out over some bad blood drawn long ago. To the disappointment of a few, no wigs flew, no tables flipped and no one ended up wrestling in the pool a la Krystle and Alexis.
Some of the on camera drama may be saucy, but even saucier was the off-camera drama between cast members and puppet master producers, who are most definitely stirring the pot with some carefully choreographed on-camera confrontation that's not quite Bob Fosse, but more like, say, an early 80s Paula Abdul. A source overheard Patton threatening to quit the show, a threat that was quickly rebuffed by a producer who warned her she had an iron-clad contract. A flustered Patton insists that there were no such threats made and that she just had to get back to work. Estrogen, egos and 80 degree heat isn't exactly a day in paradise, which is exactly what may make the second go-around--at least this episode, anyway--Must Tivo TV.

Last night, Mexican crooner Luis Miguel was busted sneaking out the back alley of Prime 112 with on-again, off-again, and we guess on-again girlfriend Daisy Fuentes--with security. Thanks to Google Translate, we realize why they may have had to do that, with the duo reuniting after 12 years of separation (allegedly sparked by Miguel cheating on Fuentes with Mariah Carey) under shady circumstances that some say involved Fuentes cheating on longtime boyfriend, British singer (Bros) Matt Goss with, well, Miguel. Got that? Whew. Anyway, long story short and whatever the case, the couple had dinner behind closed curtains of the Prime 112 wine room. Reunited and it feels so good? Sounds it.

Seen last night all cool, calm and collected: Bradley Cooper, star of The A-Team movie, in town guest hosting WWE's Monday Night Raw live on the USA Network with co-stars Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Sharlto Copley. No word on whether Cooper came with girlfriend Renee Zellweger, though some reports say the couple are either about to split or have already done so. Cooper may be back in October when The Hangover II possibly starts filming in Miami, a story we broke back in April, and one which director Todd Phillips has not denied.

Roll out the welcome mats, the red carpets, the parties hosted by Snooki with special guest DJ Pauly D', fashion shows by J Wowww, work out sessions with The Situation, spray tanning with the other ones whose names we forget but, you know, the ones riding on this gravy trainwreck, too, and, well you get the picture. They're heeere, them Jersey Shore kids, and Miami's about to get a lot more sensational, and you decide which definition of that word we're using here. Between the hush-hush nature of their arrival and the MTV lockdown on information you'd have thought it was a matter of national security. Even the details of President Obama's April 15 visit to Miami are less secretive than this tried to be. But anyway, the giddy gang of self professed juiceheads and their molls are staying, just as we expected, in the same place as the classy chongas casting we told you about the other day. Yep, as Miami hopefuls for the Latin version of Jersey Shore lined up to outclass each other in front of casting agents at the Catalina Hotel & Beach Club, in walked a well-oiled Ronnie Magro (that's his name!), who emerged from a minivan sporting headphones and a decent tan. Ronnie was pretty low keyed when he walked past Maxine's restaurant. And then, one by one, the rest of Ronnie's entourage arrived a la the Beatles at Shea Stadium circa 1965. The anticipated (?) arrival took a lot longer than expected, perhaps because they were detained by security out of fear they may have been carrying some communicable diseases or because their stashes of gel were over the 3 ounce limit. If you missed it, don't worry. They'll be here for the next two months. But don't go stalking them at the Catalina. That was just a temporary holding cell before their "permanent" digs at sister hotel, the Metropole, was ready for them. But back to those Beatles. As all this excitement happened, none other than Sir Paul McCartney, a bona fide celebrity with talent and pedigree, quietly slipped into his hotel nearby with hardly any fanfarfe. Jersey Shore could end up being a great distraction for real talent who may actually dare to vacation in Miami for a change. In the meantime, who else will join Team Mynt as a Jersey Shore-free zone? Stay tuned for details. We you know you can't wait even if you can't admit it.
