DJ AM to Spin at Mansion Friday

DJ AM will spin at Mansion Friday night. We don't really get his appeal, but obviously  others do. Last time he was in town, he was shagging playing Scrabble with Lindsay Lohan at the Delano at 4 in the morning. Meanwhile, perhaps there's some insight in AM's dating tips---such as: "I tell my friends, 'Dude, you're not gonna find your wife in a nightclub,' but I have actually met a few girls that were at my club under certain circumstances, maybe dragged or for a birthday party or a one-ff night. Because I'm always in some kind of club/party environment, I seek out the girl who's not a regular."---- as told to Seventeen magazine. Or  not.   

Ricky Martin: Breathless Over Tiesto

Ricky Martin snuck in through the back door of Mansion last night to catch DJ Tiesto's set during the club's three year anniversary party. Opium Group to NY, Maybe, But to BED? No Way

People have been asking us if Opium Group plans to open a Mansion in NYC. Here's the word straight from PR maven Vanessa Menkes' mouth: "The Opium Group has been considering a number of opportunities in New York City, though has not yet decided upon a location or name for a potential NYC venue." As for Opium buying BED, a rumor we never heard about until someone told us about an article in The Sun Post, well, that's just plain wrong. Not even close. The only thing going to BED is that rumor.

We Feel Your T-Pain, Kanye

Kanye West doesn't always get what he wants. Especially at Prive on Saturday night, where he performed songs from his upcoming album, Graduation. According to our source, West was ripping on the DJ, who was having a bad night. "The songs kept skipping, repeating or just going silent," says our source. "Kanye was saying, 'Play some T-Pain, thirty minutes of straight up T-Pain,'" to no avail. When  the DJ played something else, West demanded, "No! I want T-Pain--NOW!" The DJ finally complied, and West rapped on.

Kim Kardashian Sure Does Get Around

Kim Kardashian may be pulling an All About Eve on bff Paris Hilton and taking her place in the tabloid spotlight. Kardashian was all over the place this past weekend, starting with  hosting duties at Mansion Thursday n the company of her sisters Kourtney and Kloe, along with Brandon Davis, recovering from false rumors Thursday that he died in Miami, who seems to have bounced back from his breakup with Caroline Vreeland by hooking up with bohemian Australian model Cheyenne Tozzi who was wearing a big floppy hat and dancing close and personal with Davis, ironically to Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer", as Davis is rumored to have been cut off financially by his family for using again despite a recent trip to rehab. Nonetheless, Davis was trying to keep up appearances, and was dressed head to toe in a suit, chain smoking cigarettes, sweaty per usual. On Saturday, Kimmy opened and closed the La Perla pret-a-porter show at SET, blowing kisses to the crowd in a skin tight gold number as her sisters Kourtney and Kloe cheered her on in the crowd, as did a smitten looking DJ Clue and buddy Scott Storch. Also walking in the show was America's Next Top model winner Jaslene who looked shockingly thin while working the runway, even causing guests to gasp as she glammed it up with ribs and wrists poking out.  A big change of scenery, especially if you happened to be standing behind the ample assed Kardashian, that's for sure.

Michelle Rodriguez Is Only 29?

Friday at Mansion, Michelle Rodriguez celebrated her 29th birthday by DJing a surprisingly super hot hip hop DJ set for more than an hour, giving shout outs to her gal pal tattooed model Omayra Mota in the crowd. Then around 1:30am, Rodriguez was presented with a huge vanilla birthday cake by Mansion staffers which she blew out with gal pal Omayra who also starred in X-Men: The Last Stand. Omayra and Michelle seemed to be having a blast, playfully lifting the school girl skirts of Mansion's waitresses, licking cake frosting off their fingers, and hanging out with Brandon Davis and his new girlfriend Cheyenne Tozzi.

Speculation of a Toxic Shock at Mansion This Sunday

Although the club has no official comment, if you check out the Opium Group's website , you will see something called "The M +M's" (their quotes, not ours) coming to Mansion Sunday night. Sources tell us that even the Opium folks are in the dark, not being told who the club is reserved for, or who exactly "The M+M's" are, but they were asked to put a banner for the mystery show on their site with a link to wantickets.com. Speculation is that Britney Spears is taking her fifteen minute lip synching road show to Mansion Sunday because the pop tart is slated to be in Orlando the night before. Popdirt.com  reported that Spears was using the code name "The M+M's" for a trio of surprise House of Blues performances. They also noted that it's a reference to a Blink 182 song. All we know is that ticket price is $40, it's a special live performance, and that no cell phones or cameras are permitted. It sure sounds like it could be Britney, but if she were to do a mystery performance under an assumed name, wouldn't something like "The Cheetoes" be more appropriate?

Storch Song Trilogies

Gisele has lost her wings, Paris is going to the slammer and Naomi's wearing orange for community service, but a new diva has commanded the catwalk and the fashion world is taking note! Music producer Scott Storch strutted his stuff at the "Saporro Inspired" fashion show at Mansion Friday night, working the runway like a pro. Decked out in Sapporo Beer inspired jeans, tee's and kicks by designers like Crooks and Castles, Alexander Nash, and Jhung Yuro, Storch proved he was indeed too sexy for his shirt when rocking the runway with cigarette in hand and major bling. Like any runway diva, Storch held up the fashion show for several minutes - though he had good reason, as he was perfecting an album that was going to print that evening.

Timberlake In Sync At Prive

Justin Timberlake hit up local buddy, Justin Levine's Empire Events party at Prive Saturday after his show at the AAA. Arriving around 1:30a m, JT held court in the VIP section next to the DJ booth with 6 male buddies - most notably long time best friend Trace Ayala, and sipped Tommy Bahama Rum & cokes. According to spies, they were so mobbed by girls trying to get Timberlake's attention that security had to rope off the area so he wouldn't be inundated by the attention. "They didn't let one female into his area," says our tattle. "Justin seemed totally uninterested in the female attention, and bopped his head to his own "What Goes Around ..." among other songs." The boys stayed well into the night chatting, drinking and appeared to be enjoying the downtime despite crushing the dreams of many an eager and willing woman or ten.

Ready? SET to Open Next Weekend

Opium Group publicist Vanessa Menkes just told us that SET will finally debut next weekend, just in time for Super Bowl madness. We're actually excited because the last time we were in there was probably during the last Bowl in '99, when it was Bar Room and we got to hang out with the dudes from South Park. Good news for locals, too. SET's private, Michael Capponi-ed, VIP opening next Friday night has nothing to do with Super Bowl! Just a place where people can drink in peace without being barraged by the corporate takeover that is Super Bowl. Invites are in the mail.
