Ooops. Promoter slash construction kingpin Michael Capponi was taken into police custody Friday morning for driving under the influence after a night at work, promoting a Grey Goose-sponsored Asher Roth party at WALL at the W South Beach. According to the Miami Dade Corrections Inmate Profile System, Capponi was released from jail Friday night on a bond of $1,000, which is chump change for the purveyor of champagne wishes, caviar dreams and concrete. We guess this release is one party the promoter may not want to throw.
But that being said, we just spoke with Capponi, who gives us his side of the story, saying: "I was pulled over at 3 a.m. and asked to do a roadside sobriety test. According to the officer, I failed. I went to the station where I blew .06 the first time and .06 the second time. The officer then insisted that, because of my past as an addict, I must be on drugs. At that point, I volunteered a urine sample and passed. Despite the fact that I passed the breathalyzer tests, they decided to keep me in over night. Yet I still have my driver's license. I look forward to a great day in court as there will be many lawsuits."
Good for him! If what he says is true, I hope he sues them from here to infinity

I'm sure it was his smug arrogance that got him hauled in. I've met him numerous times and he is such a jerk to those around him. That does not give the Police the right to arrest him if he was innocent, but this is Miami Beach after all where you're guilty until proven otherwise. I hope justice prevails.

Like any police force, you have good and bad seeds. Some are good, some are outright shady, and some are just more senstive than others... I once saw MB police drive right by people fisting on the street. But another night arrest a girl who was half naked for showing her clitoris outside of a club on the same block. Whatever happens here its a 50/50 chance the officer is a factor. hardly cunnilingus, we'll see.

His fancy "party" Miami Beach home has been on foreclosure for a long while while he avoids servings. Here is Capponi's driving history. 45 CITATIONS, AT LEAST 7 OF THEM CRIMINAL. These excludes all the ones you get away from working the night for over a decade in the same small town, with tons of cops friends due to the donations he makes to the local police and the detail work the cops get through him.
This man would never hold a license in any other state.
This man is a danger to society, in all aspects and an embarrassment to this fine city that is trying so hard to get rid of these kind of characters.
