John Edwards, Sean Penn and Paul Haggis pow wow in Miami en route to Haiti

 

Packing his bags and leaving his baby scandal behind, John Edwards joined Sean Penn and filmmaker Paul Haggis for dinner and a 4 hour pow wow with several doctors at the Cane Fire Grille at the Marriott Airport hotel last night before boarding a 5 a.m. flight to Haiti.  They kept the restaurant open 4 hours past closing as the group ordered a tremendous takeout order before leaving to the airport.  Haggis along with actress Maria Bello founded Artists for Peace and Justice, an organization which has spent several years working to help the impoverished Caribbean nation. As for Edwards, his wife Elizabeth, from whom he is rumored to be separated, told the Charlotte Observer that "He's been doing work outside of this country where his errors in judgment don't have any bearing on work."
