Twilight star back to South Beach for New Year's Eve hosting duties

Untitled Olivia_munn_wallpaper

We reported the opening of Klutch, a new club in the space formerly known as Opium several months ago, but in typical South Beach fashion, the club, a joint venture between the partners at SMAC Entertainment, isn't opening until now. And it's opening with a few big bangs including a New Year's Eve party presented by gossip website JustJared.com and hosted by Twilight's Kellan Lutz and Attack of the Show! hostess and Iron Man 2's Olivia Munn. Beginning Tuesday, December 29, the club will feature performances by Boys Like Girls, Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, Hey Monday, Kid Sister and Steel Panther. We're told about 15 to 20 other celebs are flying in for these festivities. Stay tuned on that one. Tickets for all nights ($200 for NYE including open bar and $40 for other nights) are available at www.newyears.com.

This is not an "A" list, or "B" List, or even "C" list! Having local people make appearances, who actually only spend a short time in Miami was one thing, but digging up this list is really showing how South Beach particularly and South Florida in general has been passe, a word I hate using. People who actually know the Beach know most of the "local celebrities" have moved to Vero Beach, Palm Beach, Coconut Grove or Coral Gables, if in fact they still live for any length of time in South Florida. You met as many "South Beach" "stars" on the via Veneto, in the Louve, or in Sydney then on Collins Avenue or Ocean Drive these days.

Hey Count, I agree with you except these names are the new 'celebs' who cater to and appeal to a tween and 20-something crowd...the real A-listers, like many of us, have outgrown the whole scene...wink.

I love Steel Panther! Thanks for the info Lesley.
I'm looking forward to seeing them live. I've seen then on youtube singing with Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson, Dennis Rodman, Kelly Clarkson, and Pink.

If you're not familiar with them, they're really popular in L.A. All the celebs go out to see them play and usually end up on stage singing with them. They're an 80s Rock cover band who joke around alot on stage, but they're really good musicians.

Olivia Munn, huh.
Does this mean that Chris Fine...I mean, Pine could cameo?
(Yes, please!)
