Before he celebrates the launch of his new cologne 50 Scent Power at LIV tonight, rapper 50 Cent will be at a dinner party in his honor at Scarpetta at the Fontainebleau. It's funny how things change, really. We recall how, back in the day, circa 2003, when he was riding high on his hit In Da Club, Fiddy (do people still call him that?) had to sign waivers whenever he went into certain swanky South Beach hotels because he was considered a liability with his gangsta background and shootings and all. Tonight the F-bleau rolls out the red carpet for him and the only request the rapper turned perfumer had was that everyone at his dinner must drink his favorite cocktail of Belvedere shaken with, what else, his very own Formula 50 Vitamin Water. Oh yeah, and he also demanded that, on the way into LIV, all revelers will walk through a streaming spritz of Power by 50. Nah. That would have been a request by his younger self. Plus, the new, more mature, brand-batty 50 Cent is now called Fifty Cent. Got that?
