We hope the "cast" of Miami Social has thick skin, because the backlash is out even before the show officially airs next Thursday. Take The Dirty.com, for instance, whose Nik Richie, who in this post focuses on designer slash scenester Ariel Stein, calls the it "the worst show Bravo has ever aired," taking it a bit further by saying, "That show is going to fail miserably. I saw a preview and laughed so hard. Nobody cares about losers in Miami unless it is a fat Brooke Hogan." Harsh! But, memo to Richie, did anyone really care about Hogan either?

How unfair---and jealous...Ariel may be many things but he is on a national TV show--and that blog writer isn't...All the "bad" publicity is still publicity. In South Beach where everyone is a star or about to become one publicity is the coin of the realm...So Ariel and the cast are superstars in Miami--at least for now..

Oh NO he didn't!! Well there certainly are more than our fair share of loser in Miami, but there is a hand full of True Fabulousness here as well. If not then why does the international jet set break their necks to arrive? There are beaches all over the Globe. Maybe Nik is just as much, if not, the Biggest Loser. Isn't that a show already?

Its nice to go out have a drink and just relax. In the moring you can continue to make the world a better place. lol.

Does anyone really think Ariel will care about what they say. He knew from the beginning what he was getting in to . Ariel will make that show funny and animated and that’s why I love him. Miami has loads of haters, trashy promoters, faux designers; however its Ariel that you see in the front row at New York Fashion week or in a “paid” first class seat on his way to LA.
Ariel is one of the few guys in nightlife you may have found around Andy Warhol, fun, shallow, beautiful and a "real" scene stealer. He’s never been one of those “cheezy Facebook style club promoters”.
I wish there were a lot more people in Miami nightlife that were that animated as Ariel; clubs would be a lot more fun, instead we have to watch a bunch of trashy losers suck back their comp bottles of bar vodka with the eight tacky friends waiting to collect their $100 check hoping to be as lucky as Ari.
Good Luck Ariel

Ari's not that funny on the show (at least not in the first couple of episodes - and I think it's only six-episode season), unless by that you mean bitchy and sweaty.
If so, yeah - he's hilarious.

Thismight sound really bitchy but I will ask it anyway..Why are people trashing Ariel and NOT that real wimpy little queen Michael Cohen??? How did this guy get cast on this show anyway?? Only in Miami could this happen. At least Ariel is good looking..

So many haters...dont watch the damn so if you dont like what you see... I love Miami beach, love the fake, faux, wanna be euro trash jet setters..and if people DIDNT like it they'd be leaving in a corn field in Iowa somewhere, Its Miami and its entertainment for me and my friends while we sit back on Lincoln and watch.. God Bless em..
p.s. Lesley your facebook comments crack the sh*t out of me

Everyone local knows these people. Fact is same ole same ole in Miami.Anything in Miami gets boring . Local celebrities who are nothing more then self promoting losers. They mock Miami and South Beach and prove it has nothing of substance. Gotta love the mortgage broker who had his car repossessed (they failed to mention that) and Love the party promoter who has a new "wife" now and he uses facebook as a forum to now say he is in love with his new hooker like girlfriend. She of course follows it up with "baby lets have a baby" Thats deep!At least Ari has something going for him. I for one always look for more the a towel to wear when i come out of the shower! As far as the others..not even worth talking about!

I already saw the first two episodes. First, thing Ariel Stein is a horrible human being and there is a special place in hell waiting for him. Second, the show is BORING. They aren't interesting. What has made Bravo's reality shows a success are the characters, and these people are as interesting as watching paint dry. They are bunch of 30-somethings (knocking on 40) acting like a bunch of 20-year-olds on The Hills. The show should have focused more on their careers and less on their personal lives. I think it would have made it much more watchable.
