It's amazing how just a few months and a Golden Globe award for best actor can change someone's life. Here is a rewind look at what Mickey Rourke was doing in June.
9 1/2 Weak
There's a new night at Rokbar starting Sunday: Loki Karaoke which is, according to a press release, "a new, no holds barred karaoke night hosted by Mickey Rourke, JP and the Rokbar family. Rourke is also tying in his Chihuahua, Loki, into the night as he's a major advocate for PETA and carries his pet everywhere." But before you chalk Rourke up to Celebrity Circus-worthy, he just wrapped a new flick, The Wrestler, in which he stars with Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood. But still.
Update: Rourke's dog Loki has suffered a "doggy stroke," according to a publicist, but "he is recovering very nicely. " Publicist also tells us that Rourke is filming a sequel to Sin City, due out in 2010.

The Wrestler was good & Rourke is good, but I don't think his performance was better then Eastwood in Gran Torino or Penn in Milk

Milk was one of the best films that I have seen in a long time. Penn is terrific in it.
It takes place back in the 60's It looks like gays haven't progressed very much since then with their rights.
