Things just got real between former Real Housewives of Miami cast member Joanna Krupa and current Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Celebrity Apprentice star Brandi Glanville, who had some unsavory words to say about Krupa and her personal hygiene, among other things. The following letter was sent directly to Glanville via Raymond Rafool, Krupa's attorney, who explains that the letter serves as notice of Krupa's and husband Romain Zago's intent to sue the outspoken Glanville for libel, slander and defamation. Read at your own risks and preferably not on a full stomach.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were leaving Nobu last night when our Miracle Ear of a spy overheard Ronson asking Lohan, "Do we have enough left?" At which point, Lohan started rifling through her pocketbook, frantically looking for whatever that enough was. Hmmm, could it be cash? Mints? Yeah, Altoids, that must be it.

Brothers in law Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck, brother of Ben and married to Phoenix's sister Summer, were hamming it up last night at LIV, taking the microphone along with pathological mic stealer, Jamie Foxx. We wish we were there to see that sight, as the thought of the, uh, staid, Phoenix and Affleck pulling a Foxx is as odd as the duo actually being related. Best--or worst--of all, was how disheveled Phoenix looked. Like Grizzly Adams. Even Diddy looked scared.
Among the others spotted at the night hosted by NYC's Butter: Diddy, A-Rod, Timbaland, Pharrell, Brett Ratner and Molly Simms.

Colombian-French politician, former senator, activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Ingrid Betancourt, who was kidnapped by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia in 2002 and was rescued by Colombian security forces six and half years later in July, 2008, was seen hanging out at Jazid Saturday night, where her son Lorenzo Delloye-Betancourt was playing the guitar with Miami band Green Room along with Betancourt's nephew, singer Jorge Mejia. According to spies it was a "very interesting evening." Absolutely. It's not every day you get a Nobel nominee hanging out on South Beach.

Samantha Ronson was briefly hospitalized Sunday afternoon for "exhaustion/ Ronson is out and fine, according to her post on MySpace, saying "I'm home and all good. Was just pretty exhausted from traveling and working too much to buy Chanukah gifts and my Jewish mother was worried about me." Ronson says she is recovering with "Good company and a Jerry's Deli delivery of chicken soup and potato pancakes." According to Opium Group mouthpiece Vanessa Menkes, "Regardless of whatever is going on they are both coming" for their New Year's stint at Mansion.

Serena Williams made an under-the-radar appearance at Louis Bar-Lounge Wednesday night, where Pepsi Proper presented a listening party for her boyfriend Common's new album, Universal Mind Control. Williams dodged the red carpet and let Common revel in the spotlight. Later in the night, Williams, donning a thistight strapless dress, admired Common from the sidelines as he took to the microphone to perform for the crowd, shouting out his native Chi-town and his "special friend' in the crowd.

Last week we reported about the drama going on with the Hed Kandi lounge, opening tonight at 1200 Washington Avenue. Unfortunately, the Ministry of Sound folks, who own the Hed Kandi brand, didn't get back to us until after the article was published with this official statement: "We need to be very clear and specify that Hed Kandi UK nor Hed Kandi America are not a part of Hed Kandi lounge in Miami. We are currently cease and desisting all use of our name and trademark. We do not condone the use of our Artwork, Logo, or label in affiliation with any of their promotions. If you have any questions on the matter please feel free to call us. Otherwise please note that the article is your paper is incorrect in affiliating us with this lounge." Whatever the case, the place is still opening tonight and it's still called Hed Kandi.
According to my colleague, the esteemed Glenn Garvin, E! is coming to South Beach next week to cast those looking for their two seconds of fame in a new reality show about divorcees who are "attractive, outgoing, have a great personality and are looking to celebrate their re-introduction into the single life, and maybe even are going to receive or have received a large amount of money from that nasty former other half." That's great and all, but Guy Ritchie and Jennifer Aniston aren't expected in town any time soon.

Celebs work hard on New Year's' Eve. Just ask Lindsay Lohan after she "hosts" Mansion. We're sure she will be exhausted afterwards. It's a rough, rough life. Anyway, over at the Fontainebleau on December 31, Maroon Five frontman and self professed man whore Adam Levine will perform live poolside. Tickets for that party are $225 and include open bar and what seems to now be a ubiquitous New Year's party schitck--fireworks. Over at LIV at the Fontainebleau, Diddy will host while those who pay the $300 general admission fee will get to sip on, you guessed it, Ciroc vodka martinis garnished with 24 karat gold edible shavings. You may want to scrape those up and cash it in at a pawn shop afterwards to recoup your investment. Tickets are available at www.newyears.com
Over at the Gansevoort South, actress Chloe Sevigny hosts, with TI performing. Strange bedfellows indeed. In addition, Wilhelmina models have been hired to mingle with theaverage folks who will cough up the $225 general admission price which includes open bar from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. as well as mini burgers from the yet-to-open STK. Dress code: "Miami Vice Chic." For tickets, call 305-604-6575.

Seen jetting out of Miami International Airport: Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan, in a delightful mood, especially when a photog asked Lohan how she was doing, to which she replied, "Better if you weren't here." If that photog wasn't there, she would be working at the Dix Hills Waldbaum's right now asking for a price check, so she should just shut her pie hole and smile.

Samantha Ronson left her DJing duties at Karu & Y last night to chill at her half-brother, Roman Jones’s new electro lounge, Louis Bar-Lounge with galpal Lindsay Lohan. The girls arrived arm in arm and sat at a cozy corner table chatting with Roman and Chris Jones . The pin-thin Lohan sipped on SoBe Lifewater and Ronson complimented Louis’s “authentic downtown vibe.” The girls relaxed for more than an hour, and said they were happy to be ringing in the New Year with family and Roman Jones’s other club, Mansion, for the SoBe Lifewater New Years bash. But then why does Ronson look so mad?
