We heart David Cook, the new American Idol. In fact, if he were to somehow end up in the VIP room of Prive tonight, we'd probably go there to say hello. That said, Cook and runner up David Archuleta are in NYC today, prepping for a performance on the Today Show tomorrow. Our faithful NYC correspondent, Lulu Queen, was there to observe.
David Archuleta: "So cute, sounded cute and I wish I could kidnap him and keep him as my purse pet." No word on where his stage dad was, but perhaps Al Roker was wrestling him backstage.
David Cook: "Made me scream like I was ten years old watching Jordan from NKOTB. Really, I was quite embarassed as I didn't go there to see him, I wanted to see Archie. My screams actually became cute to plenty of the adults nearby---older mothers and grandmothers around me from Maine and Oklahoma who felt they should assist in holding me up so I could take shaky photos for my 'aunt' in Miami. So I fibbed for a shot."
