Owen Wilson is NOT Engaged. Not Even Close.

Hmmm. AniMayer was the best thing that could have happened to Owen Wilson. Maybe he's behind the whole thing, because while everyone was chasing Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer this past week/end, Wilson was busy carousing like a sex addict at a triple X convention, hitting various South Beach hot spots looking for free samples of the eye candy. On Tuesday, Wilson was at Mokai, where we hear he was having a dandy time ogling and flirting with various women, and last night he was at Quattro with owner Nicola Siervo. Just the two of them allegedly, which we don't necessarily buy. Wilson left today, but we're just now starting to  hear about the trail of tail he left behind here in this so-called Magic City of ours. We know of more than a few women who said they were starting to avoid his phone calls because he became, as one put it, "so skanky." Tell us how you really feel, girls. But what we can't imagine is what Kate Hudson thinks, if she's even thought about it at all.

Maybe that's why Kate's rep released a statement that said they were "definitely" not engaged. The word "definitely" has a particular sting to it. Looks like he's blown it big time...again. Sad.

Will do! Luke Wilson just finished filming here (mostly in the Philly suburbs) but he was pretty low-key (just a couple of restaurant sightings with friends.) Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were here last week as well. Really hope to see Owen though!

Personally, I like the theory that the Kate & Owen reunion was a stunt to publicise Owen's movie, as he wasn't ready yet to face the world to promote it. It'd have the added bonus of proving to the world that Kate had no input into Owen's suicide bid, if he managed to get through a subsequent breakup with any more attempts. If it was for real, I think they were both very stupid to get back into it, if it was anything more than f-buddies. Way too soon.he's obviously sill way too messed up.

BTW I think the Jennifer Aniston/ John Mayer thing is largely a stunt too. Or the publicity is a very welcome aspect.
There seems to be slightly too many candid pictures of PDA's there, when they KNOW the cameras are on them.

c - I think you are SO right. The timing of it was weird - like it was carefully planned out. Owen's Oscar appearance, their reunion right after; then one movie of his opening in theaters, the other filming - like it was all part of his "comeback". Good publicity all around - he appears in the media to be a changed man because "even Kate wants him back." Kate seems caring and supportive and gets a chance to polish up any tarnish his suicide attempt may have left on HER image. I think the truth is so much more complicated whenever Owen is involved, however.
Good call on Jen and John, too ... Please! Those two KNOW what they're doing. Those new pics of them in the pool are really something! I swear that they're turning into Heidi and Spencer with the photo ops!!

You were right about Wilson, Lesley. He left Miami and immediately started his womanizing in NYC. Apparently he didn't fly to Boston to meet up with Ms. Hudson. Kate was spotted alone with Ryder at a restaurant on Mother's Day and then later filmed (yes on Mother's Day).

They were filming a scene about half-a-block away from where I work this morning - Owen and Eric Dane. Owen looked good; much cuter (and blonder!) in person, but not so tall. Eric is very tall (and cute too!) Eric appeared to be more personable - hanging around and chatting after the filming. Owen did the scene and then disappeared somewhere.

Right, Pondering - that was Monday night. But late Sunday/early Monday (3am), someone caught Owen leaving the exclusive Upstairs Bar with a "female friend", who was not Kate, (according to gawker.com). Maybe he was exhausted from the night before and that's was the Butter girl was denied! Anyway, that boy LOVES to party (too much) - wonder if he'll hit any of the hotspots while in Philly?

Great link, caty! Thanks! I was right across the street watching the entire thing. I was right up front, close enough to make eye contact and get a frown from Owen while taking a pic of him during a short break in filming. Owen's a cheery guy ... absolutely NO interaction (a smile, a wave, nothing) with the fans; very different from Eric Dane. OW saves it all for the camera, I guess. Still it was a really exciting experience though!

Hey Allie! Breaking news! Owen and Kate broke up. I just heard it on E news while drinking my G & T. But it's weird, I immediately went to their website and nothing! They claimed they got it from People, and nothing there either. I've only had 1 drink so I'm sure I heard it correctly, LOL! They did say it was a BAD breakup. I wonder if it occurred based on Leslie's reporting? Anyway, perhaps that's why he was in a bad mood. I honestly think the guy has such serious issues that he can't help himself, as everyone says how madly in love he is with Kate. I hope she never takes him back again.

caty - I know! But it hasn't seemed to hit the web yet. I heard it on E! News Daily (yesterday's show). They said a friend of Owen's told People that it's over FOR GOOD and yeah, that it was a bad breakup, but that Owen's not dwelling on it. Perez doesn't have it yet and he usually picks up on things pretty fast. I still have to check tmz. I agree that it was a stunt that Kate was being nice enough to go along with, but when he started to make her look foolish, she said "enough". (She's a smart cookie!) I personally think she loved him and did want to give it another go (based on what Lainey and others in the industry have said). Kate isn't like Jennifer Aniston--her rep doesn't lie to the media and she's not into playing those types of contrived, concocted games with her love life and the media. I'm sure that, like you say, she is a smart cookie and that was his last chance. What's the guy thinking? I was a HUGE fan of his plus a huge fan of the M&M book, but now I don't know if I will see the movie or not. Now when I think of Owen Wilson, I won't be able to get out of my head the thought of how many STDs he must have...

Caty, I wouldn't be so harsh on Owen. After all, he's a single guy. He's not married to Kate, he hasn't any kids. He might have decided to never get married & chooses to live his life like this. That at least is being honest. IMO it'd be much worse if he was married & acted like this, as I'm sure a lot of Hollywood stars do.

BTW, US are reporting that K&O were very loose, & it was never serious or even mongomous between them. We really don't know what their own arrangements were. I doubt she was under any illusions as to what Owen's rep is though, so I'm sure she knew exactly what she was getting into with him, whatever that may have been.

C- You're right, I probably was harsh on him since he does have mental health issues. Also true, I can't get into their heads, but I'm guessing that since they are in the public eye and constantly photographed and watched that if there is an "open" relationship it probably should be done in a less public way than how Owen was acting in Miami. Kate was quoting as saying monogamy wasn't natural but that didn't mean people shouldn't strive for it. She also said, "Just don't get caught." And he did get caught. I think "discretion" is what Owen was lacking in, a common deficiency amongst people with mental health issues. Get him properly medicated, somebody, before something bad happens!

Caty - don't get me wrong. i 100% think that, if Kate & Owen were in a supposed mongomous relationship, she was right to get out. It'd be toxic for herself, Ryder, & even Owen himself to stay. What I would fault her on is that, knowing what she did about Owen's circumstances, she jumped back in. I'm not saying you shouldn't have a r/ship with somebody with his problems. Just that you should be very careful. Especically given their past history together. & I don't think she was. TBH, I think he has a lot of work to do on himself & his health before he is even ready for a proper relationship. It was little over 8 months ago that he tried to kill himself after all, which is nothing really. That's kind of why I actually hope their reconciliation was just a stunt, as IMO it'd be best for all concerned.

Re Owen's behavior - his mental health issues are the crux of the matter aren't they? I mightn't excuse all his behavior (drugs, slutting around etc etc), but knowing the circumstances sure makes me more understanding. And I certainly can't hate on him for it. It's too much like kicking somebody when their down.

Allie--I agree, she must have been very reluctant to get back into it fearing the ramifications of another potential breakup. I did read he wrote a big apology letter and stuff like that before they got back together...I bet he had to sweet talk her a lot and convince her that he was A-OK, off drugs, etc. I know I'm giving her all the benefit of the doubt, but when in doubt, it's almost always the guy's fault, right? Right!

Keep in mind, guys, that Owen's friends came down to Miami to "keep an eye on him." Vince and Woody--and Kate....While those eyes may have kept him from more toxic substances, they certainly didn't keep him from slutting around. Poor guy--he's single and a mess. Celebrities may make more money than God but it's a sad price to pay, ain't it?

Did you see the page six story this morning about Owen at the South Philly strip club last Thursday? The place is about five minutes from where I live. He was there over four hours and went into the VIP room with a Kate look-alike. Plus he was knocking back vodka and sodas at Pearl in Philly on Friday night and a poster on IMDb has him getting pretty loose at Whiskey Bar in NYC the previous weekend.

He's becoming a little worrisome. If he's getting a little wild WHILE he's working, what is he going to be up to this summer with all his downtime?

Tell me, do you guys miss him in Miami?
