We guess all those swag tax rules don't apply to bazillionaire athletes. If they did, we don't know if there'd be so many "gifting" parties during the Super Bowl. One of them, The Sprint Style Villa will take place in a glass house on the beach at 8th and Ocean from February 2-4, and will feature offerings from Absolut, Speedo, Ed Hardy, Original Penguin, Sprint, of course, DirecTV and everyone's favorite glorified South Beach dormitory, The Flamingo. Then there's the invitation only VIP reception at the Ritz Carlton South Beach in honor of Super Bowl XXX1 MVP Desmond Howard's 10th Anniversary of being named, well, MVP. In addition to private massages at the hotel's lovely DiLido Beach Club, there will also be "band fittings and demonstrations of the unique Teslar technology found exclusively in Phillip Stein Watches . . . Premium swag bags will be given to super VIP guests and will include Philip Stein watches valued at over $1100, Blackberry devices . . . and other luxury items." In addition to all the celebs, quasi celebs and wanna be celebs, there will also be a rep on hand from H&R Block making sure all proper taxes are filed on the freebies. Not.
