Finals G3: Spurs 113, Heat 77: Miami down 2-1 after worst playoff loss as LeBron admits, "I'm not doing my part"; plus SI's new UM/NCAA report, Dolphins, Tebow, ship-my-pants & more

1) It is WEDNESDAY, JUNE 12. I'm no apologist for athlete misbehavior, but it feels like Chad Johnson just got a 30-day sentence for a pretty silly reason. 2) "No, I don't watch 'Game of Thrones,'" he said rather proudly. 3) In The Previous Blogpost (ITPB): Heat Game 2 win, poll result, Marlins Sad-O-Meter.

1aa1newsiNew SI report on UM, NCAA: Click HERE for the new Sports Illustrated special report on the Miami Hurricanes/Nevin Shapiro scandal now being deliberated by the NCAA. It is entitled, "The Hurricane That Blew Through Miami Flattens the NCAA." SI details how Shapiro used inside information to gamble, and also outlines the overriding ineptitude of the NCAA's handling of this case.

Click on Where Is LeBron's Offensive Game? for my column from San Antonio off last night's Heat loss.

FINALS G3: SPURS 113, HEAT 77: MIAMI IN 2-1 HOLE AS BIG 3 MANAGE ONLY 43 POINTS: A worst playoff loss in franchse history does not happen without an avalanche of bad stuff happening, and it did for Miami in San Antonio Tuesday night in a rout that has the Heat down 2 games to 1 entering Thursday night's Game 4. The Heat's defense allowed an NBA Finals-record 16 3-point baskets. Allowed two guys named Danny Green and Gary Neal to beat them. On the other end, LeBron James managed only 15 points on 7-for-21 shooting. Dwyane Wade (16) and Chris Bosh (12) also were below their season averages. Mario Chalmers followed a 19-point game with zero Tuesday. Honestly, other than Mike Miller going 5-for-5 on 3's, just about everybody and everything sucked for Miami. The Heat can bounce back Thursday -- it is what Miami does -- but, once again, the Big 3, and especially LeBron himself, simply must do more on the offensive end. Watch out for my Game 3 column from San Antonio. ..... Original post: Click on LeBron Good Even When He's Bad for my column off Miami's series-tying win. Tonight comes the first of three in San 1aa1heatspursAntonio, and Heat fans are longing for the days when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were good for a bankable 60-plus combined points. Wade and Bosh's below-average post-seasons offensively continue. Even LeBron has scored only 18 and 17 the first two games of the Finals. Somebody needs to break out. The pressure is most on Wade. Doesn't help that ESPN.com asks whether Miami would be better off using Wade as a sixth man, as the Spurs deploy Manu Ginobili. Bench Wade? I don't think you make that seismic move in an even Finals, coming off a big win. Major chemistry issues are in play. Miami must win at least one of the next three to stretch the series back to Miami, and can seize real control by taking two of the next three. Every game in a seven-game series is bigger than the last, tonight no exception.

DOLPHINS OFFSEASON POLL: IS THIS A PLAYOFF TEAM?: Dolphin stage a three-day mini-camp this week amid a general consensus that, between free agency and the draft, the offseason has been good to Miami. GM Jeff Ireland with rote optimism says he thinks the team has "closed the gap" on AFC East beast New England. There seems to be a disconnect, though. The 2013 Las Vegas over/under on Dolphins win is 7.5. That is not a playoff number. So which is it? Let's get an early pulse-read on optimism, Dolfans. It's only June but you have a sense of it, right? And I know that you'll once again answer the call to vote what you honestly feel right now, in the gut, not what you wish. Let's go!

PATS RECYCLE TIM TEBOW: New life breathes into Tim Tebow's formerly forlorn status as an out-of- 1aa1beltimwork, future-less NFL phenom by his signing today with none other than Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots. Since anything Belichick does is genius, that makes Tebow great again. (Right?) Wildcat redux? We'll see. Chances are Tebow will be waived by late summer and on the side of the road with his thumb out again, but, for now, the imprimatur of Belichick -- NFL devil, the pro Nick Saban -- means America's favorite Christian is baa-aaack!

SHULA: "WE'RE NO. 3! WE'RE...": ESPN's experts-panel list of all-time greatest NFL coaches slots Dolphins icon Don Shula No. 3. The top 10 is 10-Curly Lambeau, 9-Joe Gibbs, 8-Tom Landry, 7-Bill Belichick, 6-Paul Brown, 5-Chuck Noll, 4-George Halas, 3-Shula, 2-Bill Walsh and 1-Vince Lombardi. (Well, No.1 will be announced Tuesday, but if it isn't Lombardi I'll Prancercise from here to Green Bay). Also notable: Bill Parcells 11th, Jimmy Johnson 13th. I think Shula third is fair, although I'd bet it tweaks him being behind Walsh.

"I JUST SHIPPED MY PANTS!" (K MART HAS A BRILLIANT AD AGENCY): You could only get me into a K Mart at gunpoint, but I'd admit the discount retailer has hit twice in a row now with gone-viral advertising videos. Click on I Ship My Pants and Big Gas Savings to see. They are unbelievably low-brow and sophomoric. Why do you think I like them so much!? "Ship" here sounds like a variation ending with a 't' and "big gas" sounds like 'big ass' and it's intellectually dumb but an absolute hoot for 30 seconds.

Click back. Will be updating/adding to this latest blogpost...

Tebow will be a Patriot for 10 years.

Hahahaha!!!!

The circus just arrived to NE, he won't play QB ( duh ) but he has a chance to be the water boy...

Hey TePat, sure he has a chance to be there ten years, answering phones as a ticket agent.

I give the Dolphins better than 50% of making the playoffs...yup

I have seen those K-Mart commercials already, funny chit

Belli-cheat has man boobs

Tim Tebow Is Better Than R.Mallett. Another Bust By Belichick.

Dashi Is Supremely Confident In My Dolphins.

I Expect Big Things. 12-4.

Tebow Being A Patriot. The Times Are Turning. The AFC East Is Finally Going Back To Normal.

T-Sizzle Is The Truth. Philbin Is A Great Coach. L.Miller Is A Better RB Than Reggie.

it's a repost, but it bears reposting. as kaz said, baby LOVES tearing lebron down..

"Comparing the Miami team LeBron is on to those horrible Cavs teams is dumb even for you."
um.. that was in response to you suggesting miami "lucked" into lebron.. we didn't "luck" into anything. they signed a hybrid player, then, after some mistakes, crafted a team around him to support that special player.
my point is, having lebron doesn't guarantee anything.
oscar robertson was the lebron of the 60's and early 70's and he only has one ring.
it's not golf.
it's a team sport.
as for melo, he'll never feel like lebron. he's a scorer, plain and simple.
AND THAT'S IT.
lebron, like magic and jordan, make their teammates better, they get them involved, AND they thrive in other aspects of the game, (assists, rebounds, steals).
it's idiotic to compare melo to lebron.
the day melo has a triple double with 18 points, 18 REBOUNDS and 10 assists is the day kaz and i meet you for church on sunday..

as you said, kaz, weak stuff from a guy who's team was finished 3 years ago.. (i added the 3 years ago..lol)

Spo Sucks.

1 Qtr Is Not Out Coaching. Consistency. The Heat Have The Most Talented Team, Best Player. They Should Consistently Blow Everyone Out. Losing Is Unacceptable With So Much Talent.

OKC Last Year Was More Talented Than The Spurs.

Last But Not Least, What Happened To "No You Can't Play Guys Because They Haven't Played". Miller Looks Fine To Me. Guess Somebody Is Playing Video Games. GTFOH!!

Coles Is Better Than Chalmers. The Minutes Cole Played Parker Did Next To Nothing. Look At The Tape. Even G.Neal Was Schooling Chalmers. Don't Confuse N.Cole Stopping Parker For Chalmers. SPEED! AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONING.

Cole Can Keep Up With Parker, and Then Some. Chalmers Can't Keep Up With No One.

Big Shot Mario? GTFOH!! You Guys Are The Same Clowns Calling J.Anthony MVP!!

Have Some Standards. High Standards. Expect Greatness. Admire Talent, Not Effort.

Having LeBron guarantees everything ladavid all you need is a mildly competent GM to fill in the pieces and voila!

T-Sizzle wow that's some gay ass sh*t.

Hi To You To Munequita.

laDavid LeBron is surrounded by not one, not two, not three, not four, not five... first Round draft picks.

No Norris Cole isn't one of them.

oops Cole is one thought he was a 2nd make it 6 first rounders hope I haven't missed any yikes they should win.

bill walsh worked for an infinitely better team owner and had a much stronger player roster than shula

Wooow Big Baby, I hope you're not serious.

Every starter on every team in the NBA is surrounded by first round picks, that's how the NBA works, it's the most distilled talent of any major league.

Brandon Bass was a second round pick, he's surrounded by seven first round picks for your crappy Celtics.

:)

The Heat Roster Has Made Close To $1 Billion Dollars In Contract Money Alone.

How Is That For How Talented This Team Is.

The Heat are the defending champions you idiot.

Tim is in NE to help exorcise Billz bad boy image. To make him more palatable to rest of NFL. Why? I have no f***ing idea of which I speak, that's why. So Jimbo did you decide what you were taking from WWll hope chest?

The Heat Should Already Have 2 Titles, Going On 3. You Ignoramus.

The Heat Were Built To Win Titles. Not Just Reach The Finals.

The Heat Have Underachieved. They Need To Win This Season And Next.

LeBron Didn't Come Here For 1 Or 2 Titles. Or 3, Or 4.

Else The Jordan Comparisons Should Stop Now. And LeBron Doesn't Want That.

Sorry 3 Finals appearances in 3 years isn't enough vicarious success for you and that you got so much more bitterness out of the Heat's loss to Dallas than any enjoyment you have had from the teams the Miami Heat have put on the court.

But your ignorant rants against the Heat are painful to read, you spew out opinion after opinion and nearly every single one is unambiguously wrong. Someone who had never seen a basketball game in his life would be right more often then you are, by pure chance.

You think Erik Spoelstra matters to this Heat team, in fact you think that every game they lose they lose because of him. Because of his coaching - that's the #1 reason they lose games. Not the players. Coaches are all-important in the NBA. Not superstars. Not Jordan or Kobe. Phil freaking Jackson. How many titles do those two win without Jackson? How many does Jackson win without them?

You think Spoelstra only calls offensive sets 10% of the time. You've said that many times.

You think that Spoelstra should throw every active player on the roster on the court for 'at least' 5 minutes. Forget that every coach in the NBA is trying to tighten up their rotation to 10 or below. Forget chemistry or rhythm or communication, just throw them all out there and they'll get their career averages. That's how basketball works.

You thought this Heat team was better playing a scrub center like Ilgauskas or Dampier or Turiaf or Pittman than a much better wing player like Battier or Ray Allen.

You think Norris Cole is a better point guard than Mario Chalmers right now. You think Rashard Lewis can play power forward and should take Udonis Haslem's minutes at that spot. You think Chris Andersen should start and play big minutes. You think the Heat should be putting James Jones on the court right now.

You're wrong. About almost everything. Tough to ignore when you're here every update -apologies and I will try harder in the future. Armando can't come back soon enough.

Check out these highlights of Erik Spoelstra being a terrible coach and Mario Chalmers being the worst point guard in the NBA.

The voice in the back of the courtroom yells out, "You rotten bastard!"

The judge stops and says to Paddy in the back of the courtroom. "Sir, I can understand your anger and frustration at these crimes, but no more outbursts from you, or I'll charge you with contempt. Is that understood?"

Paddy stands up and says, "I'm sorry, Your Honor, but for fifteen years I've lived next door

While You Just Wrote A Bunch Of Nothing. Which You Have Repeated A 100 Times.

Dashi Writes The Truth.

Again, You Wrote A Bunch Of Nothing. And You Are Calling Me The Idiot?

duke, my top 5 WWII hardware wants are:
1. British Spitfire
2. Deutch King Tiger
3. American Iowa class Battleship, Iowa, New Jersey, Missouri, anyone of the 3.
4. American P51
5. US Ma Duece, M2 50 cal machine gun.
ps to the amature (not putting your name on front st), there were no nuclear powered subs in the 1940's.

Duke, was that lady painted on the side of a Messershmidt ME109?

WWII flick - Das Boat. Have you seen it?

same movie, german title of Das Boot.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082096/

I can see Noll over Shula, not walsh. 3rd is good.

I've never been a fan of trying to entire section of home fans trying to distract the free throw shooters. Shouldn't be part of the game.

Important World Cup qualifiers Tuesday evening going head to head with NBA Finals.
USA hosting Panama in Seattle...given Seattle's rep as a soccer city..at the present time anyway,

There likely will be a great, red, white, blue, atmospheric crowd.
I think it starts an hour after the Heat.

Mexico's game starts earlier.

Though few people I know in Houston are watching the NBA games, I best not take a chance and either stay home or hit a bar that does well at showing both.

I've seen enough of Bellicheat over the years to know that if anyone can make use if Tebow, it's him.

Give the kid credit, very few players of his non-NFL caliber get so many chances.

When I flipped to the Heat game n the 3rd qrt and saw them barely winning and having frustrated tired looks on their faces...my thought at the time was that they'll win the game, But that San Antonio may be too much of a match for them in the series.

Then I turned back to it in the 4th and saw a killing going on. Maybe there is hope. It's all about who has the hot hand on a given night.

Battle of Hurtgen Forrest

Jimbo,

Admirable. Tanks and especially subs have always been my favorites. Das Boot being one of those I've watched a gazillion times in both languages. 2 1/2 hours of serious watching.

Note: Jürgen Prochnow follows his role as captain with the Keep, a seldom watched, but really cool film, then afterwards plays the Duke Leto Atreides, in Dune. Close to 30 films over two decades.

Jimbo, Hmm 1)Iowa Class Battle 2)P-51, great mattiage of American & English technology 3)Tigerzzz 4)Corsair 5)StG44 Sturmgewehr for home defense.

Spitfirez. How could anyone not respect the work they did against competition during Battle of Britain.

I just happened upon the lovely SS damsel while perusing SS poster girlz. She'd look good on side of an ME109 or on flag outside Himmlerz "King Arthur" castle...

Is there any doubt that Belichick will transform Tim Tebow into a starting fullback? Perhaps even a defensive end?! Anywhere but QB, right?

Tebow will be another tightend & nose tackle ala great two way players from NFLs illustrious past...

Must be nice for peoplewho cash to by life size WWII Toyz. Carroll O'Conner would be proud...

Jimbo,

Thanks for the link. As many movies as I've seen I can say that I've never watched that one (When Trumpets Fade). Probably due to it seemingly being more about carnage and the cost of war than perhaps the more innocent depictions of WWII. I'll put it on my watch list.

Duhhhh. Must be nice to be fackin' wealthy enough to buy life size WW-II toyz for f**ksake...

Big Red One was well done. Scene in psych hospital was particularly fun...

I once saw a particular WWII film about a wounded German destroyer, holed up in what I'm now guessing was a deserted Mediterranean island cove and an American soldier (pilot?) who would sabotage the repairs at night then hide in the mountainsides during the day. I've never been able to track that movie down again. It's like it's disappeared from the face of the earth. had to be back in the late 60s or early 70's.

Have any of you guys seen or remember that one? I'm guessing that it did not survive film preservation.

The fascinating thing about the Battle of Britian was the Brits finally caved after losing too many pilots and had the Polish pilots who had escaped to London to take flight. There had been concern over the language barrier, but turned down to be the most successful squadrons in the battle with very high number of German kills. The most prominent was the 303 Divsion..also called Koszciusko squadron.

There is a Battle of Britain monument along the Thames near parliament which occasinslly gets decorated in Polish Air Force colors.

Koszciusko should be known by Americans..but probably isn't. In addition to being a Polish revolutionary, he was instrumental in the US revolution. Fortifications at West Point bring a major claim. He was friends with Thomas Jefferson and tried to get TJ to abolish slavery, in fact, he bequeathed a great deal of money for this cause when he went back to fight for Poland.....the slavery cause which the Americans of the day weren't yet ready for.

Probably as a direct result of his presence in the US, Poland became the 2nd country in world history to adopt constitution. 1791. Short lived as it wasnt liked by Poland's surrounding neighbors who then decided to partition them and nullify the constitution.

Got off on a little tangent, but I love world and US history.
There are monuments of Koszciusko and Pulaski all over the US particularly north central and northeast. Pulaski lost his life fighting for American independence.,

http://www.listal.com/list/world-war-ii-movies-philsump

Is it anywhere in this list ? Ths list brought back memories...I've seen just sbout all.

Not listed..one of my all time favorites, "Victory" , with Stallone, Michael Caine, Pele, Max Von Sydow. The only movie I've ever been to where the audience is cheering all the time..especilly during the game,

Duke, OC
When I was a kid, I stayed up late to watch Fonda, Sovalis, Bronson & a cool actor named Shaw, in Battle of the Bulge. Watched it recently and could help but notice the historical accuracy & filming with all American equipment as terrible. Filmed in the Spanish Pyrennes Mtns.

The German film of Stalingrad was pretty good.

OC, I prefer Das Boot in German with English subtitles.

Next time I go to N'Awlins, checking out the WWII museum. People say it has a lot of authentic hardware. Some how, some way, Bourbon St pulls me in like a big magnet & then it's on.

OC, no, I haven't seen that movie you were mentioning. On a similar theme, there's an interesting one out there with an American & Japanese soldier stranded on some tropical island and they both take turns screwing over each other. Lee Marvin's version of Cast Away. lol

My favorite line, Lee Marvin says to George Takei. "Now were going to play war! I'm going to lay down and going to blow the hell out of me!"

Heat fans. Taunting Suns Parker with Eva chants. Stay classy Miami.
If any of us (outside of David) could take Ms Eva out for the night for dinner, drinks & balls deep sex, we wouldn't turn it down. Maybe she expects you to talk to her after sex, which all itself could lead Parker walking out on her.
Beside's she a lot more attractive then that jelly butt lady Bosch is married to,,, more talented too. She got more jiggles then a colored dancing act from the 1920's. Ms Bosch, hint, cover that cottage cheese booty in public, there's kids out there for crying out loud.

I count 10 first rounders on Boston which could explain why they made the Conference Finals last year.

Crappy? They were playing without Rondo this season genius.

mike1,

a huge night indeed. mexico doesn't have the physical specimens of panama, but plays better and will probably start dossantos along with nchicharito who had an off game versus the reggae boyz. clint dempsey is doing his usual uberman for the red, white nad blue; the guy is relentless, tough as nails and good for 2 goals every three matches, if noy for a goal everygame. i am not buying the michael bradley hype. he is a static midfielder and not a threat to score in the manner of arjen robben- but few are. rumor miull has a suarez for robben deal and seeing robben in the EPL will be intersting after he makes his last appearance for the dutch in brazil next year. i am trying to forget the horrid antics holland displayed in trying to decapitate spain in the first few minutes of the WC final.

A bunch of nothing?

No Dashi, that is a list of very specific opinions you have that prove beyond a doubt you're a complete idiot and know nothing about basketball.

mike1,

with a friday night blackout i got confused; costa rica is a tough bunch with friendly being a world class futballer. will be watching on unimas-#272 on dish as i cant stand the american announcers. the british guy who does the games for ESPN is palatable, but whichever american sidekick is with him isn't. plus my life is better without the 4th rate player alexai lalas giving his two cents worth. anyway, ought to be a great evening in seattle and i read that dempsey has 11 goals in 17 matches, so 2 for every 3 games is about right. the guy is gritty and gets to the ball and takes no guff- a real american prototype.

Eva is an unequivocal far left loon. I say make fun of her as much as you want--and the Miami Heat should support it. You ever see the pictures of her without makeup? Halloween man, Halloween.

Tony Parker made a terrible move in marrying that wacko. At least he made it right in the end and gave the far left loon what she wanted---a divorce. Divorce and ripping a part of families and selfishness, the far left way.

Kaz,

You Are A Settler. Ok, With Just Reaching The Finals.

Your Whole Post Reeks Of It.

I Now Understand Why You Like Spo. You Are Satisfied With Being Average.

And Your Whole Post Was About Nothing.

What Does Spo Do Well?

Still Haven't Answered That Question.

Big Baby Brought A Great Point Up Of How Many High First Round Picks The Heat Have On The Roster. Which I Affirmed By How Much Money They Have Made. And You Dismiss It For Nothing.

No, You Idiot! Not Every Team Is Loaded With First Round Picks.

The Heat Have The Most Talented Team In The NBA. The Best Player. And A Below Average Coach.

Again, Dashi Is Done Talking Basketball With You.

While You Keep Saying Nothing. And Bringing Stuff Up From Last Season. Dashi Is Handing Out Predictions. Talking Current Basketball.

If You Know So Much Basketball?

Who Is Going To Win Tonight?

By How Much?

Dashi Already Said The Heat In 6, Probably 7. And Called The Winner Of Game 2. By 10 Or More.

Yet, All I Hear From You Is Dashi Doesn't Know Basketball.

Fool You Never Played Basketball. And Are Complacent. A Digger, If You Will.

Dashi Said It The Other Day. Some People Are OK With Losing. You Are One Of Those.

Dashi Knows LeBron Didn't Come Here Just To Reach The Finals. He Came To Win Multiple Titles. Not Just 1 Or 2.

Big Baby, I too like the Celtics with Rondo, Pierce, Garnett. Was disappointed they left some good players go, especially Kendrick Perkins. I don't have a favorite team to call my own. I did like the way older Spurs team with Robinson & young Duncan played & conducted themselves as men off the court. Iversons are a dime a dozen & have little use for thuggish behavior. Seen enough of that at work. Dwayne Wade is a fading basketball player but he has been a great citizen off the court too. Got no ill will toward LeBron, best player in the league. Simple observation from a casual fan.
Go Dolphins!

Jimbo,

Tommy Gun, For My WW2 Practical Weapon.

M6O, For My Current Practical Weapon.

Fully Auto Tommy. I Know Those Are Rare Now.

Tracy McGrady Has Seen More Minutes In The Finals Than R.Lewis, S.Battier, J.Jones, JA, And J.Howard. And He Even Had Time To Create A App.

Funny Thing Is Pop Signed Him Right Before The Playoffs. As An Insurance Policy.

Yeah, Just Like A Video Game. GTFOH!!

Stop Idolising That Little FF!! And Admit The Truth.

Your Boy Slo', Is Using Rotations That Only Played 20 Minutes Together During The Regular Season. Maybe If He Would've Paced D.Wade's Minutes Better During The Regular Season. Mike Miller Would've Been In Better Shape And The Chemistry Would've Been Better. And Wade Would've Been Healthier For The Finals.

Why Didn't Mike Miller At Least See 5 Minutes A Game During The Regular Season? In No Real Team Should UD And JA Have More Shots Than M.Miller, J.Jones, And R.Lewis. That Doesn't Make Sense.

Who Would You Rather Have Shooting A 3? Bosh And Battier? Or M.Miller, J.Jones And R.Lewis?

Or That 18 Foot Rainbow UD Shoots? Give Me The Other 3 Any Day.

We All Know D.Wade Is Injury Prone And Coming Off A Injury This Season. But Spo Is Worst Than Shanahan. Play Them Til They Can't Play No More.

And Don't Say, Wade Didn't Want To Leave The Court. Cause Again, That Is Bad Coaching. Look How Pop Tries To Preserve His Old Players. He Has Added At Least 2 More Years To Duncan's Career By Preserving Him During The Regular Season The Last Couple Of Seasons.

And Spo Has Been With The Heat D.Wade's Whole Career. How Is He Oblivious To The Pounding Wade Has Taken?

That's Right!! Cause He Is To Busy Taking A Pounding By Mr. Arisons Son Every Night.

Without cheating (looking it up in Wikipedea, like I just did), would anyone CARE TO GUESS how many WWII-themed movies have been produced since 1938?

The list includes worldwide production, made for TV movies and cable series.

Let's see who gets closest to the number.

1011 WAR FILMS...just a guess

No a bad guess, FZ. Let's see if anyone else can get closer.

all right...

keys to tonight's game..

will the worst PG in basketball rise again?..I must say he is having a good series so far.

will the girliest NBA center have another double, double?

the Spurs are a very, very good home team and usually role players play better at home so they'll be more than ready, the key will be the defensive pressure we can put on them , Spo may need to play Battier and J Anthony (in addition to our regular bench )even for minimum minutes so the big three can have a little energy in the fourth..

Bosh has been a no show for a lot of these games, its time for him to step up..

prediction?..Spurs win this game but I hope I'm wrong..

James Walker, from ESPN is apparently watching today's minicamp and tweeting:

James Walker ‏@JamesWalkerESPN
WR Brandon Gibson looks a lot more comfortable in the slot. He made several good plays today in practice.

Several interceptions today by the defense in team drills and 7-on-7s. By my count, Rashad Jones, Chris Clemons and Don Jones all had picks.

Tanny! What's up?

Timmy boy, why do you keep signing with all of these losers making it impossible for Mr. Woodcock to root for you?

Puig had three more hits last night...

el cubiche esta "en fuego"..

still need a qb. m.moore to start after bye.

Dashi, Come on man, What do you really think of Spol??
LOL

The good thing is that the Dodgers keep losing. Now, that, is perfect.

Dashi,

While no coach is perfect and I have not agreed on some of Spo's decisions from time to time he is far from a bad coach, he has a very good reputation around the league specially as a defensive coach...

I know you don't like the guy but you need to cut the guy a break...

just my opinion.

Jimbo that is a great movie line regarding playing war. Somehow enables individual to transcend brutal circumstances. That's what irked me a bit with Big Red One All the American hardware dressed in German. I guess there just isn't enough Tigerzzz to go round...

FZ,Check out this video..
and check out at the end what a large rock can do..

http://youtu.be/xq9ZeBn5qA8

Kaz- If you think he knows nothing about basketball, guess what, he knows less about the NFL.12-4, put down the pom poms, my son.

I Would Cut The Guy A Break If The Heat Overachieve. Which They Haven't. Or Play Up To Their Potential. Which They Don't.

I Will Repeat This 1 Fact Again.

If Spo Wins 2 Titles He Is A HOFer.

If He Wins 3. He Will Be One Of The Greatest Of All Time.

Simple?

Til Then, Dashi Will Expose The Truth.

Tonight Is A Must Win Game.

FZB,

I Didn't Say He Was A Bad Coach. Just A Below Average One.

And Naples Jack,

I Know You Are Old And Senile. But Dashi Will Forget More Football Than You Will Ever Know.

I Have An Advantage Over You And Shazaam. I Understand What I Watch. I Understand The Sport.

You Don't Ever Catch Dashi Talking Soccer And Hockey. I Know How The Game Is Played. But I Don't Understand The Idiosyncrasies. They Look Like They Are Just Running Back And Forth. Dashi Doesn't Talk Just To Talk.

Now Basketball, Football, Baseball, And Boxing. I Understand. It Is An Art To Watch Gifted Athletes Do Things Few Humans Can. The Strategy.

Tim Tebow Is The Best QB In Gaytor History.

That Statement Tells You All You Need To Know About UF Football.

Dash, they run back and forth In basketball too. They score too many points vs too few as in soccer. (indoor has a lot more scoring). To me, BB just looks like the same thing over and over again. Wait til the last 5 munutes to watch if the game is close.

In baseball, they don't run at all. The most runners at any given moment is 4. Painful 162 games oper season makes it uninteresting on a game by game basis.

Football is great, but half the games are over (75% in college) by half time. Same as Australian Football.

What it comes down to when watching any sport and liking it, is whether it is a team you grew up with and are emotionally invested in. Then, no matter what, the game excites you.
Hence some countries are thrilled by world volleyball league, team handball, cricket world cup , rugby, rugby 7's. The Irish like their brand of football...so do I. Basketball tends to be more universal than most sports.

If you're a fan of a soccer team..you're biting your nails everytime the opponent is close to your goal. I remember the scene at a sports bar filled with about 2000 US fans ...decked in red, white, blue flags, face paint, etc. .staring intently at the screens as US faced Ghana in the quarterfinals of the 2010 World Cup....some women seriously biting their nails all game.

Lot of people outside the US are bored to death by 3.5 hour football games, filled with long, frequent commercial breaks and a majority of nothing plays..3 yards up the middle. and lopsided scores. It's my favorite sport in a tie with soccer. but watching on TV is easier because you can get up and move around. or flip channels during timeouts.

These comments from a guy who once said, the MLB was the most important position in football. The only thing you might know more then me, is how to cut sugar cane.

As far as athleticism, watch guys like Messi from current, Cruyff and George Best from the past. You can look at these guys in person and think how average they look , not being 300 pounds or 6'10 giants....but then see them closeup in action and realize how skillful and athletc they truly are.

In the 70's there was a popular 'Superstars' program on ABC. held in Key Biscayne or Hawaii. Consisted of the best and most popular athletes of the day from all American teams and track field. About a dozen weeks per season...maybe 15 athletes per week. The weekly winner went to the finals. 3 out of 4 times that a soccer player particpated, they won the whole thing. Namely Kyle Rote Jr...player in the NASL, Not even a big name foreigner. And I think one other soccer player won it .

Regardless of the the makeup of any game, I think the act of scoring is the prettiest and most exciting of all sports. Diving headers, long range curving rocket shots, dribbling plays, and plays that involve one touch mid-air volleys or multi player teamwork with good build up. Not to mention the outstanding goalkeeping plays..like our own Tim Howard one of the tops in the Engkish Premier League.

In hockey, the action is nice and fast..but you rarely see the goal happen. Tiny puck into a tiny net, hidden from view by a goalie . You only know a score occurred because the team celebrates. On TV, replay helps a lot.

So far, two of 32 teams are qualifed for 2014 World Cup, hosts Brazil and Japan.
By this time next week, we'll know 3 more. Tight race going on between S.Korea, Iran, Uzbekistan...who suffered a blow today losing at S.Korea. They have a decent shot though because S. Korea squares off with Iran next week....if those 2 tie they are in. If it's not a tie, the Uzbeks are in if they win at home vs Qatar.

In the other group, Aussies are duking it out with Oman. Australia hosts Iraq. Oman travels to Jordan..who has an outside shot of playoffs.

The most incredible news of the day is that the bottom dwelling Armenians are up 3-0 at group eaders Denmark. Very unexpected.

I was really mistaken. Denmark is actually not doing well in qualifying. I confused it with their nice performance in qualifying and playing at Euro 2012. They had a surprise 3-0 away win at 2nd place Czech. Other than they're a let down in the group that Italy leads.

However, it still is a shock for lowly Armenia to be beating them especially at home.

Mike,

You See.

You Love Soccer. And Understand The Game. I Feel Your Passion For Soccer. I Just Don't Like It. Maybe If They Shortened The Field. And The Pace Is Faster. Only Time I Watch Soccer Sometime Is During The World Cup. A Different Brand Of Soccer.

But To Me. Baseball, Football, And Basketball Are More Entertaining. And I Understand What I'm Watching Better. They Aren't Just Running Around. Formations And Strategy.

Say What You Want About Baseball. The Most Difficult Thing In All Of Sports Is Hitting A Baseball. And The Prettiest Thing To A Knockout Punch Is A Homerun. Way More Difficult Than Scoring A Goal.

Basketball Does Require To Be Tall To Truly Be Great At It. Spo Doesn't Understand That Though. Height Matters In Basketball.

And To The Old Senile Man. Love How You Put It. Yes, To Dashi, The MLB Position Is Important. He Is The QB Of The Defense. The 2nd Most Important Position. I Misspoke. I Was Making A Point How Ray Lewis Is/Was More Important Than Flacco.

Just Like A Good QB Can Cover Up No Defense. A Great MLB Can Cover Up Offensive Deficiencies.

All Dolphin Fans Can Attest To This. Marino Era, Z.Thomas Era.

Just Watch The Ravens This Season. No MLB And A Overpaid QB. Bet They Won't Even Reach .500 This Season. QB Real Important Then.

While My Dolphins Go 12-4. Cause We Finally Have Both At The Same Time.

Brady Hasn't Won 1 Superbowl, Without Great MLB's. Belichick Knows This. Reason He Drafted J.Mayo And D.Hightower. Offense Wins Games, Defense Wins Championship.

What If Peyton Manning Played With Ray Lewis? How Many Superbowls Would They Have Won?

And Clown, Dominicans Don't Cut Sugar Cane. We Pay Someone Else To Do It.

But

If I Want To Know About Cousin Uncles And Banging Your Own Sister. I Will Ask Your Redneck Arse. Yeehaw!! Buddy!!

On Tonight's Game.

Expect A Close Contest.

If The Heat Were More Consistent. I Would Say Another Blowout Win.

But Dashi Expects Adjustments.

I Want To Say Heat Win. But I Need To At Least See 1 Game In SA Before I Start Claiming Victory.

Tonight Is A Must Win. All The Finals Game Are Must Win.

Naples Jack at 3:35, SLMFAO

FZB, Came across This Vid, Knowing your a Floyd fan thought you'ld like it..

http://youtu.be/xq9ZeBn5qA8

Oh yeah...... GO HEATLES.

This will be the one game to watch out of the series. I believe the statistic is 93% of the time. Which is to say that since the 2-3-2 format, and when the two teams are tied one apiece, the winner of game three ultimately wins the series.

Every player playing tonight knows this. Their coaches know this and so do most fans.

Expect war.

Nice Floyd video Anti....Gracias.

About tonights game, two great teams, too close to call but go Heat !

I'm calling you out Bosh, are you going to be a man today?...or play like a girl?...

Mr. Bosh in the last eight games may be able to sell female products soon..
IMHO..

GO HEAT!
