CANESFAN SATISFACTION METER: G12 / SEASON FINAL: Results are certified in the latest and final Canesfan Satisfaction Meter, and they show 80.9 percent overall satisfaction for the season in the wake of Saturday's 52-45 victory at Duke. That put UM's final 2012 record at 7-5 overall and 5-3 in the ACC with a share of the conference's Coastal Division title. The overall plus rating is the highest -- by a lot --in our four years of CSM polls in the blog, indicating, to me, a strong affirmation of coach Al Golden and what he is doing. Our CSM polls are your invitation after every Hurricanes game to vote on your overall satisfaction with the team and season in a continuing weekly gauge of how UM football fans are feeling. Criteria for voting is your own, but I suggest you consider the most recent game's performance and caliber of opponent, season as a whole, program's direction, and your overall degree of optimism -- all in the context of reasonable expectations. Special emphasis in this final poll should be given to the season as a whole, with no penalty to the team (we'd suggest) for the university electing to self-impose a postseason ban. Polls never close (you may still vote), but results are certified official the morning after one full day of voting. In this case that was around 11 a.m. today/Monday. Thanks to the thousands of fans who participated in our 2012 CSM polls, and we'll see you again next season.
