CANESFAN SATISFACTION METER: G4: Results are certified in the latest Canesfan Satisfaction Meter, and they show 95.9 percent overall satisfaction -- a season high -- in the wake of Saturday's 42-36 overtime victory at Georgia Tech putting UM's season record at 3-1 1aa1csm12overall and 2-0 in the ACC. In its fourth season, our blog's CSM polls are your invitation after every Hurricanes game to vote on your overall satisfaction with the team and season. The CSM is a continuing weekly gauge of how UM football fans are feeling. Criteria for voting is your own, but I suggest you consider the most recent game's performance and caliber of opponent, season as a whole, program's direction, and your overall degree of optimism -- all in the context of reasonable expectations. Polls never close (you can still vote), but results are certified official the morning after one full day of voting. In this case that was around 9 a.m. today/Monday.

She's coming over to my house in 1/2 an hour so far I've drank two six packs and taken 10 shots of Patron and I can still see straight. I'm going to have to put a bag over my head and and cover her with ten hefty bags, but it's worth it. Go CANES!

Cock, A REAL man does not require any bags or alcohol.
Just the Testicular fortitude to go where NO MANS GONE BEFORE.

well the 14 points was a good take; usually when i like a big underdog i'd say take the points and bet them even, but i am not a gambler and am just doing this for kicks. didn't foresee a wild seesaw game, but that is what happened. syracuse and miami and the points and am now 2-0 on taking "live underdogs", which are the only "plays" i would ever make. thanks for acknowledging that "i'm no dummy".

Mr. Woodcock,

just how much did you drink during the UM game today? aap 19, down 17 and "tanked" could make for some awful mood swings for a diehard canes fan.

as far as your friend telling you that two touchdown favorites cover between 47 and 53%, well that is what most games come down to, as our fearless leaders pro picks will verify. as stated, i like live undrdogs with points, which fit syracuse against USC and UM versus the yellowjackets. so far 2-0, and when the next two touchdown underdog that i like comes up, we'll go for the third in a row.

as i have been telling you since last year, aaron murray of georgia has a bazooka. easily the best pro prospect at QB based on arm strength. matt barkley is fairly accurate, but he can't throw out patterns which is the staple of pro offenses. geno harris and teddy bridgewater, local products, throw rolling out while aaron murray is a pocket passer. am not so surprised that the bruins lost, as the pac-? is a difficult conference with oregon way the best team. we'll see if rich rodriguez and arizona can give them a game. the ducks with those bizarre unifrom combinations can give you a headache, but not as much of a headache as their blinding speed gives the opponents.

the young Canes grew up a little more today, Shannon's teams would have folded, Golden is getting this kids to buy into his philosophy, great great win.

I posted earlier that I didn't see any way we could beat GT today, I couldn't be happier that I was wrong.

Go Canes !!!!

I was at the game today. Best Maimi win I have attends since the 2001 victory over VaTech in Blacksburg on the way to the National Championship. Made all the sweeter. Ecause we had two obnoxious asshole GaTech fans in front of us. It was satisfying watching their despair as the Yellow Jackets snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Go Canes.

ga teh is a flawed team, but they did score 36 and lost. couldn't listen/watch, but i imagine that the yellowjackets keyed on mr duke johnson and mike james has a moster game. we'll see how the canes do against FSU and va tech, as they don't play clemson, the second fastest team in collge football behind oregon, which is having trouble getting going against arizona and its new coach. both arizona and the ducks are playing no-huddle at an incredibly fast pace.

ga tech's QB was 3-8 for 130+ yards. teams defending a wicked option attack must play man-to-man on the receivers if they are going to stop, to any degree, the running of an option team. if tech's QB had any kind of arm or brain (to recognize man coverage)they should have scored more than the 36 they got. they did get one long TD pass, but a good option team with a QB that can hit the side of a barn should be able to pass minimally and effectively. 3 out of 8? i told you the guys stinks and he proved it. and i like ga tech and would have had great fun watching their backs avg. 9 yards a carry; but if option teams can't get more than 132 yards passing teams won't even have to cover the wideouts. miami's young defense was manhandled, but tech gave up 5+ yards/carry to both mike james and mr. duke johnson. running teams should be able to stop the other guys from running, and tech didn't. a terrific comeback and rooting for the canes to score against ND, which benefitted from five denard robinson INTs; close his heisman account. the leaders according to the ole shadow, in no specific order:

geno harris
teddy bridgewater
sammy watkins
de' anthony thomas
aaron murray

football as it should be played!!!!

nobody even close to these two of my boyhood heroes

MORE "OLD SCHOOL (means they played the game the way it was meant to be played)!!!!

Shadow, my buddy was talking about the NFL. I will ask him about college.

Very glad you went to the game Tom. For my money there's no sporting event that I enjoy more than going to a Canes game. I hope I get a chance to see them in a BCS game soon.

Mr. Woodcock,

sorry that i forgot your pal was talking the pros; however any betting line is supposed to produce a 50/50 split, very close to the between 47 and 53% tha i remember you posting.

I'm surprised the Canes won.

Was that you behind me Tom???

Wonder who the 19 jerks were that voted they were extremely dissatisfied with the canes
