G4: CELTICS' OT WIN PUTS ONUS ON HEAT TO MAINTAIN SERIES CONTROL: Miami trailed by as many as 16 but fought back valiantly only to fall in overtime. A late chance to win in regulation was sqaundered when Boston's defense denied a good shot in the final seconds. Now the series heads 2-2 back to Miami for Game 5 Tuesday night, amid speculation (based on an RESPN report) that Chris Bosh could return from injury in the next game. Based on thre past three games, they need him perhaps just to reach the Finals let alone to win them. ..... Original post: Boston has played two great games in a row, winning the last one, and now all the pressure is on Miami to maintain control of this series in Game 4 tonight in Boston. The Heat's 2-1 series advantage feels fragile. You know the Celtics will play with desperation tonight. It is time for Miami, which can drift into complacency at times, to do the same. That will mean better defense against Kevin Garnett and more offensive aggressiveness from the start by Dwyane Wade, who took only one shot in the first quarter in Game 3. LeBron James  has three straight games with at least 30 points anbd 10 rebounds. Time for Wade to start sharing in the heavy lifting again. Now. They say every game, or the next game, is the most important in a seven-game series. This time, this one really feels like it. Boston is a champion up off the mat. Time for Miami to perform like the champion it hopes to be.

Will Turiaf play more than the 5 minutes at the beginning of the game or 3rd Quarter. Turiaf with UD or JA in the paint on KG & bAss, is better than shane playing PF. Shane can guard Pierce or Allen consistently well, even Rondo for a Play or 2, but Shane will never Rebound like a normal PF.

Boston only has that White Guy what's his name on the bench for size, everyone else is small. U Get their Big men Tired and In Foul Trouble, then we can Run Them To the Ground. Make it a Track Meet, I don't want to see KG doing Weak-bAss Push-Up's in the 4th. The man with No Muscles should get put on the deck. That's not Showboating if i ever seen it? Picture if bosh was doing push-up's that's the ultimate insult. What's wrong with the Heat
JA will be the END of SPO. I love JA, but we should start with JA starting the game at C. That's not JA's fault. I have no problem with JA starting at PF against bAss and using Turiaf or UD at C vs KG. My problem is Boston went on a 21-6 run to start the game. UD should be the starting PF with Turiaf at C. Have JA and Shane come off the bench for them 2. UD can score, Play Defense, and Rebound real well. 2 out of 3 things Shane can't do well as a PF. I would even say SB can't even score as well as UD. Bosh should be back for game 5. Which should mean the end of SB as a starting PF or a PF period, I hope.

Slo' never used SB as a PF all year. Bosh gets hurt and he goes retarded. He decides, Oh SB should be starting PF from now on. NO OTHER COACH IN SHANE'S CAREER (Coach K, JVG, Hubie Brown, ETC., Even Spo until the playoff's) HAS USED HIM AS A PF IN A GAME. What makes this "GENIUS" any Different. He put SB in at PF over UD or Anthony. Shane Doesn't rebound enough to play PF. M&M will do a better job going after rebound's and shooting 3's. Why is Spolstra allowing the Celtics/Rondo to roll the ball to 1/2 court on every inbound play? That gives the Celt's a full 24 seconds to run their half court offense. On the other side, Doc Rivers is putting token full court pressure on the Heat giving them about 14 seconds to run their offense once they get settled. This strain on covering the Celtics for a full 24 seconds shows.

Make Rondo pick the ball up as soon as the ball is inbounded.

Another great game, LeBron single handedly kept them in it for most of the game and sent it into overtime with a huge clutch three. Wade's shot looked good, I'd rather see a two point play there though - Celtics would have been hurt by another overtime more than the Heat.

Still no series in the East, I'm hoping the Thunder can use their momentum to steal one from the Spurs and make things interesting. Equally hoping the Heat don't let the Celtics make things interesting in game 5, I think they'll be engaged for the entire game tomorrow night.

I would personally use Pitt & JA off the bench, with Turiaf and UD starting until bosh gets back(since he hasn't developed Pitt into a Average starter by now). Who cares if Shane can defend the PF, which he barely can holds his own. Shane is way to undersize to even be guarding a "small" PF like bAss or West. Shane gets Out-rebounded every game at the PF. We are already at a Disadvantage cause Spo loves to play with an Undersize PF playing as our C(Rudy! Rudy!). Now U got a SF/SG playing PF. UD use to Average a Double-Double a night.

Look if he loves JA so much and He "needs" to start him at C. (Don't know why? JA can't even avg 5 & 5 a night. All those little things JA does are good for the bench not to start.) If he is going to go that route at least use UD as ur PF for rebounding and offense 2 things JA can't do. Quick, how many 10 reb games JA has had his whole career? Very Few(less than 5,and all in the regular season). Shane? 1, that I know of. UD has Avg a 10 & 10 for a whole season before. He's also Younger than both of them. JA will be the end of SPO.

D-Wade wouldn't have to "Complain/Cry", If Spo did his job. Lebron has never fouled out of a playoff game before, Spo should've lost it right there. I don't care about losing the game(Game was lost from the beginning, 21-6), but I will make it a "spectacle" for the ref's, make them the "Center" of attention since they want to control the outcome of the game. There are rules for basketball and they should be called equally for all players. If this results in star players fouling out, so be it. If this results in traveling calls being made on star players--GREAT? Just call the game as the rules call for it and make the calls the same for all players whether you are playing at home or away from home. The home court advantage should be called the David Stern Officials advantage.

I prefer to see the game of basketball becoming basketball again--not a football/WEE/Globetrotter David Stern Scrum.

C- Turiaf starts, Pitt for 5 to 10, howard if Spo wants to use him for 5,then UD or JA if he wants to go small for a couple minutes. Once Bosh comes back UD & JA can see more time at C, since he hasn't developed pitt.

PF- Bosh(when Healthy), UD (should start if Bosh gets hurt), and JA, U can also use howard here for 5 minutes. He was a PF for 17 years unlike SB

SF/SG- LBJ, Shane, M&M, and JJ

SG- Wade, M&M, JJ, SB, and T.Harris

PG- Chalmers & Coles

The sky's not falling we should still win this series, but we can't kid ourselves. we will only win the title if Spo shows some growth

Larry - it's shockingly consistent, refs have every game reviewed by the alternate and they rarely miss more than a handful of traveling calls.

But NBA officials don't call the game as it's written in the rule book, if they did every free throw would be a lane violation, every hand check and box out would be a foul, every dribble would be a carry, and every game would be a free throw contest that lasts 4 hours.

Why they don't change the rule book I don't know. But the word that isn't in the rule book that explains why 90% of NBA fans think players travel and are wrong is 'gather'. Players are allowed to 'gather' the ball before their steps are counted, for some players that 'gather' can cover a quarter of the court.
