Dwyane Wade appeared ready to play before Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors, but didn't warm up with the team and was then removed from the starting lineup.
Wade missed Tuesday's game with a migraine, according to Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. He was sidelined with a sore left foot on Wednesday, according to the team. Wade's ankles were taped before the game and he talked at length with reporters while never mentioning any soreness in his foot or that he might not play.
Wade did point out that better lines of communication between players and the coaching staff compared to years past has contributed to the team's overall health at this point in the season.
“You’ve got an older team and guys who have been playing into late June for multiple years in a row, and no team has played more basketball than these individuals in here, so you have to be a little smarter and understand that the body will shut down when the body wants to,” Wade said. “You have to listen to your body a little bit and I think we’ve done that this year.”
