NBA official Joey Crawford called in for Game 3

Veteran NBA referee Joey Crawford will be the lead official for Friday night's Game 3 between the Heat and Bulls.

Known for his no-nonsense style, Crawford arrives in Chicago two days after Game 2 of the series featured nine technical fouls. In his last game, Crawford issued seven technical fouls in Game 6 of the first-round series between the Clippers and Grizzlies. Chris Paul and Zach Randolph were ejected from the game.

Udonis Haslem's reaction to learning Crawford was calling Friday's game was telling.

"Oh, really," Haslem said. "Wow."

Haslem then went on to say, "We're not focused on that. We're going to come out and play our game and be aggressive on both ends of the floor. We're going to do our jobs and, obviously, the officials are going to have to do their job."

Crawford will officiate the game with officials David Guthrie Derrick Stafford.

-The Bulls will be without forward Loul Deng and guards Kirk Hinrich and Derrick Rose for Game 3 against the Heat, Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau announced after Friday's morning's shootaround.

Game 1 in this series will be as big as game 7, of the ECF....

We can not lose at home in this series...

Just because they think Lenard has so much ability on the wings, we have to test this match up early....

Bron in the post... They don't have an answer for him there...

Diaw can't guard Bron on the wing...

How will they defend???

DOUBLE....

MOTION, SPOT UP SHOOTING, LOBS, CUTS TO RIM, WE CAN RUN THE PICK AND ROLL AS WELL...

WE HAVE RUN....

RUN THEIR OLD LEGS AND SHOOTERS ALL GAME LONG...

CB, you have to stretch the court... open up the lane... get your jumper right, we are gonna need it... crash the boards.. remember, sell it, they push a lot... use the pick and pop, also the pick and roll...

Wade, they will try to run you off picks... we have to talk and switch, be there... attack them at will... don't settle... when you're on the attack, this team is very tough to beat... get their shooters in foul trouble, and get to the line...

UD, duncan as you know is very crafty... try to stay out of foul trouble... he flopps a lot... when playing defense and you put your hands on him, well, he uses that to sell a foul.. try to be aware of his tactics... sell the push as well, try to get him in foul trouble... crash the boards... hit your jumpers... also once in a while, attack the rim...

Rio, your match up will be key to they're offense.. attack him too... as a team, the rotations have to be there... talk... don't let him jump into you... he gets calls for nothing at times... move your feet.. hit your threes, and back cuts will be there, parker watches too much on defense...

Shane, they will go small... plays right into our hands.. get your shot working... you will get open looks.. solid defense... take the charge on parker...

Cole, attack.... solid defense... run... defend parker... you can guard him... stay aggressive....

Bird, bring that energy... crash the boards... run.. attack the lobs....

Miller, let it fly...

Allen, you have a great shot... will you be engaged... will you come to play... if so, the curl foul line shot is there all day... the good looks from three will be there... you can attack the lane... hit your free throws plz...

Joel, if needed, come in and play solid defense and rebound.... block shots... hit your free throws....

The key to beating them is to run their asses all game long...

Attack the paint at will...

Stay out of foul trouble...

Guard the pick and roll...

Stay out on shooters...

Watch for the back cuts...

Can't let parker just run down the lane...

Guard duncan, from the post, the foul line shot, don't put him on the line... attack him at will...

DEFENSE FIRST... ATTACKING AGGRESSIVE DEFENSE... STEALS.. BLOCKS.. TAKING CHARGES... TRAPPING.. REBOUNDING...

If we go to Bron in the post ealry, and they pick up fouls, it changes their whole game...

Diaw can't guard Bron...

who ELSE do they have????

Manu really can't guard any one...

ATTACK HIM..

They're a great team...

But so are we...

The way we played game 7...

If we bring the same PASSION, ENERGY, AGGRESSIVENESS, we should win game one....

Attack early.. Dominate late...

Where's Shane?????

I think when they put in bonner, Shane would be great match up there...

The one thing that team attempt's to do is get you in foul trouble, takes away your aggressiveness, and than turns it up...

Can we do that to them????

If so, we win in 5...

By putting our bigs outside and putting our wings on the block, they can't defend neither in the post...

THIS IS THE PERFECT SERIES FOR TOTAL DOMINATION....

The one player for them we should have on our radar is Manu....

Off the bench, he comes in and bring a scoring punch... He flops a lot... He attacks the lane and shoots the three...

We have to account for him...

Can't let him have a break out game....

Like Harden last year, we can't allow him to have a big impact on the game....

Attack him... His defense should be one we test....

Watch out because he is one who can be borderline silently dirty... Watch him.... Don't fall for his jump into you or he falls down a lot, selling the foul...

They're very crafty in their approach to getting calls... We have to sell our own plays working on getting calls...

I think they might try to slow it down because in the open floor they will get blown out....

LET'S GO....

Watch out for their guys standing under you on a jumper... No more Bruce Bowen, but thats their game...

If we bring that great energy, passion, aggressive style of play to the floor in game 1, we should win...

Pop will make his adjustments, but even he will soon see, his team can not beat this Heat team...

DON'T LET UP... PUSH THE PACE... RUN... ATTACK... MOTION... STAY AGGRESSIVE.. 48 MINUTES... SET THE TONE EARLY... WE COME TO PLAY....

I noticed that they run a screen back cut lob to their wings... Watch that play...

But if we ran a screen curl play where, let's say, UD OR Bird sets a screen on the wing, the guard curls to the foul line, then the big rolls to the rim for a lob... Two passes, pass to the guard, then the lob to the big...

Make them work on defense.. Can't let them off the hook... Don't settle.. Stay aggressive.. The more pressure we put on them the more we will see just how good or horrible their defense is...

The running, athletic, attacking style of teams give them trouble...

We can't get too happy or too down until we win 4 more games....

KEEP YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS... IF WE'RE UP 10, PUSH IT TO 20,,,ETC...

CAN'T LET UP....
