Q&A: LeBron to L.A., Temple or Harris and the Spoelstra drinking game

The Q&A is from 1-2 p.m. every Thursday.

Q: Tyler Durden (@ListenKickrocks) asks: Any update on Mario, UD, and Joel's injuries?

A: First of all, I love both your Twitter name and your Twitter address. To answer your question, I wouldn't count on any of these players playing tonight.

Q: Krisha Roxas (@krishbee) asks: Who gets the last 3 heat spots?

A: Right now I'm guessing Dexter Pittman, Terrel Harris and Mickell Gladness, in that order. But I don't know. I felt pretty confident in Pittman and Harris when I was in China but new information brought to my attention has me thinking otherwise. Maybe Josh Harrellson, Terrel Harris and Garrett Temple. But I can only see one player under a guaranteed deal getting cut. Last year it was Eddie House for Harris. This season, maybe it's James Jones for Temple or Rodney Carney. We'll have to wait and see how this next week shakes out. Nice Twitter picture, by the way.

Q: Michael Muehloff (@My_Key_Mules) asks: Will Ray close out games?

A: And you know this, maahyn. Mario Chalmers is going to start them and Ray Allen is going to finish them. That reminds me, Chalmers has learned a lot over the course of the last three years but if he's smart he'll study Allen like a book this season.

Q: Josh (@UnbiasHeatFan) asks: If he gets cut from the Spurs, odds on Miami looking at Eddy again? (that's a serious question...sort of)

A: 500 to 1

Q: Rolly Mendoza (@rollzter) asks: Who do you think is best corner 3 shooter on the team?

A: Ray Allen. It's not even a question.

Q: @MrMusicManMAx asks: Thoughts on Lebron joining Lakers in 2014?

A: LeBron owns a pretty expensive house in Miami. That might not mean anything but conventional wisdom says when you buy a house like James' in Coral Gables you're putting down some roots. Of course, I never thought James was staying in Miami to retire, so it wouldn't surprise me. If LeBron wants to catch Jordan and Kobe in championship rings, L.A. might be the best place to do it.

Q: Phil Seiter (@SeiterBomb) asks: Is NoNo or @PG30_MIA going to be in the regular rotation?

A: If not the regular rotation then at least 10-15 minutes a game. That said, I could see him rotating in with Ray Allen as the first two players off the bench.

Q: Michael Muehlhoff (@My_Key_Mules) asks: Which Heat players would make up the best bobsled team?

A: Two-person or four-person bobsled? Two person: Ray Allen and LeBron James. Four person: Ray Allen, Shane Battier, Joel Anthony, LeBron James. We would crush zee Germans!

Q: Rob Slater (@RobSlater10) asks: Is it a bad idea to take a drink every time Spo says "spacing" and/or "space" this season?

A: It's never a bad idea for an Erik Spoelstra drinking game. But if you start playing during the pregame news conference you might blackout before tipoff. I'd wait until after the game to start pounding shots, but that's just me. You do what you feel is right.

Q: Josh (@UnbiasHeatFan) asks: What happens to Carney? Odds Miami would trade JJ to make space for him?

A: If you asked me this question before China, my answer would have been no chance. Now ... I'm not so sure. I'd put the odds at 12-1 that Carney bumps J.J.

Q: Josh (UnbiasedHeatFan) asks: Why is Temple getting more playing time than Harris? Better or just that Heat know what there getting out of Harris?

A: The Heat is taking a long look at Temple. Spoelstra said today that he likes his defense and the fact that he can play two positions. They gave Harris that chance in the beginning of camp but it hasn't worked out.

Q: Sri (@BookOfThel) asks: Is pittman's roster spot safe?

A: I've got to think it is. They've stuck with him this long, why not give him another season. He lost plenty of weight in the offseason, so at least he's showing that he's serious about improving.
