PHILADELPHIA -- It's hard to believe that the lineup of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Mike Miller, Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem played together for the first time this season on Friday night.
James subbed in for Norris Cole with eight minutes and took over the point-guard duties. He had six assists in the fourth quarter and finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds eight assists.
Should LeBron play more point guard? I realize LeBron has spent a lot of time in the post and it's been a great success but it seems like point guard is his natural position. Maybe the Sixers just weren't ready for it.
Other notable performances:
--Wade was 10 of 20 from the field to go along with five rebounds and four assists.
--Mario Chalmers was 3 of 4 from three-point range and had seven rebounds.
--Mike Miller had 10 points in the fourht quarter.
Overall the Heat was 8 of 13 from three-point range.
Biggest stat of the night: 9 turnovers for the Heat, a season low.

NOOO james at the point (He kinda a drive and dish PG or drive and shoot). You lose scoring from him. only in the fourth in a tight game (not from behind or strong leads)where he can and put pressure on the D and dish. Wade to slash and your main offense. put shooters around them and that lines up is good. Haslem to add rebounding and toughness.
You that will be cutting into my playing time too. SAY NO to JAMES as PG

It's the best 4th quarter game so far. The adjustments were there. The plays were there. Spo did a good job this time. For the first time in the season, he went big with Lebron being the point guard in the 4th quarter. Spo, in the future should try using Anthony, Haslem, Bosh, Wade and lebron also. This is playing big! In the 3rd quarter, he used Haslem as their center while miller and battier joined lebron and cole which did very good for the heat. This five must be used from time to time as the need arises. As I have said before, it's the feel for the game that matters; The variety of plays and adjustments made. I hope this continues. The Heat is unbeatable if they play this way!

Please. Lets see how bron playing pt gd against a tight zone like dallas had .
He needs to bang inside the zone at sf or pf. You keep wasting time w all theese different sets and lose an opportunity to prevail in the finals.
Dallas won bc they ran the same offense from camp thru the finals. They believed in it , spread the floor and it broke the heat down in the 4 th game. Bosh needs help big time inside whr bron belongs. You have capable pt gds. Why continue to confuse them. Brons the best but his weakness is playing outside whc plays to our opponents.

I second that Iron man. key words "You have capable pt gds." I thank you for that, but the "s" was not needed.

You guys are giving Mo WAY TO MUCH CREDIT. I'll take Chalmers any day over him. And YES Lebron should be running the point. He's at his best with the ball in his hands. D-Wade needs to improve his off the ball skills and 3 point shooting and we'll be unstoppable.
PG LEBRON + 2G WADE + FW MILLER + PF BOSH + C IT WONT MATTER =
NBA CHAMPIONSHIP"S" !!

what do you think of HASHEEM THABEET?
can the HEAT make a trade for this kid?
he is still young...
guess he will be good to us... we got ALONZO MOURNING AS HEAT STAFF... and may contribute on THABEET to improve some skills...
THABEET has skills on blocking shot... with ZO i think his defense and rebounding will improve...
just see him trading block by ROCKETS...
with JORDAN HILL / TERRENCE WILLIAMS / FLYNN
IF PRZYBILLA WILL SIGN TO US....
I RATHER LET TERRELL HARRIS & GLADNESS STAY...
THEN WAIVED JUWAN HOWARD...
BEFORE TRADE DEADLINE HEAT TRADE TO ROCKETS IF ROCKETS WOULD ACCEPT THIS...
HEAT TRADE:
JOEL ANTHONY & MIKE MILLER
TO ROCKETS:
HASHEEM THABEET & TERRENCE WILLIAMS or
(courtney lee, instead of t-will)
THOUGHTS?

NO.....

Black, did your heart stop when you saw Chauncey go down yesterday? That probably nixes MO Williams and his $8.5mil/year salary going anywhere, much less MIA.
I'm confident we can get it done with our current roster. Time will tell.
Talking to a friend of mine who lives in Los Angeles yesterday, he wants the Lakers to pick up J R Smith. I was trying to sell him on taking Gilbert Arenas. Love that locker room dimension being added to Artest, Gasol, Bynum, Barnes, and Kome. Would being anxiously waiting to see Kome's face when those long Arenas jumpers start flying with 15 seconds left on the shot clock. Wouldn't have to wait long, aren't the Lakers televised, like, 66 times this year?
Cavs tonight, hope Dan Gilbert is courtside to 'witness' this beating.

Don't count on it...he'll be too busy getting over on people schleping mortgage loans like a used car salesman...

James Jones would be making some of the shots that Shane Battier continually misses.
Posted by: E.Robinson | Tuesday, February 07, 2012 at 11:25 AM
Jones isn't near the defender Battier is, so you've got to weigh that in the equation, not just blocked shots, but contested shots that miss.
Posted by: Greg Gembe | Tuesday, February 07, 2012 at 11:44 AM
....did I just see that Kome was 1-10 shooting in a close game lose to the Sixers.
Ohh-weee!
Can't wait until the media crucifies his a$$ for not being able to close the game. Launching off-balance jumper after another, I'ld bet, not attacking the rim.
And Shaq can shut up with the greatest Laker talk, and the greatest Laker tandem talk. Magic is, for one. For two, Magic and Cap won 5 championships in 9 years, shaquille and kome won 3....just saying. And during the Showtime era, neither Magic (or any of his running mates) bitched and whined about being traded, nobody misunderstood who the leader was, and they played together as a team....how different when you look at kome's body of work.
Posted by: Greg Gembe | Tuesday, February 07, 2012 at 12:59 PM
That stat should read 1-10 shooting in the FOURTH QUARTER.
That a way to go, CLOSER!

Where's the Nicks are better withoutCarmelo or withoutAmare hype?? The shit storm that surrounds this Heat team is baffling...

BUMS!
Posted by: Heat1 | Tuesday, February 07, 2012 at 02:57 PM
Knicks may have found their point guard off the scrap heap. This asian kid Lin may be their answer and actually save D'Antoni's job. Had Dolan not jumped the gun and gave away key players for Melo...this Knick team would've been a whole lot tougher. Chemistry makes all the difference.
