Heat 103, Timberwolves 101: Wade does it again and other stuff

MINNEAPOLIS -- Leave it to Dwyane Wade to upstage LeBron James on his birthday. A few post-game thoughts, but first:

--Excellent screen by Bosh on the play. Ricky Rubio, welcome to the NBA.

--If you notice closely, Wade actually stumbles while running to the rim. LeBron had to adjust the weight of his lob and Wade reached behind himself while in the air to finish the play. In this one play you had two of the LeBron and Wade's signature traits as basketball players on display: James' vision and Wade's ability to balance and right himself in the air.

--If you thought the Heat's sideline-out-of-bounds play looked familiar, you were correct. The Celtics used it to defeat the Heat two years ago.

--James attempted his first three-pointer of the season in the fourth quarter. He missed. Wade still hasn't attempted a three-pointer.

--Norris Cole played 30 minutes. Mario Chalmers played 14. Interesting, to say the least.

--The Timberwolves outscored the Heat's bench 57-21; the Heat's starters outscored the Timberwolves starters 82-44.

--Ricky Rubio (12 pts, 12 asts) is the real deal.

--Bosh said he struggled in the first half because the Timberwolves were playing off him. He found his shot in the second half.

--Looks like the Heat has finally found a point guard who knows how to throw an alley-oop. Cole tossed back-to-back alley-oops to James in the third quarter.

GAME MVP, LEBRON JAMES
Wade might have made the final four points, including the game winner, but James once again carried the team. He was two rebounds shy of a triple-double: 34 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds.

UNSUNG HERO, JOEL ANTHONY
Anthony had eight rebounds (three offensive) in less than 24 minutes.

PARTING SHOT
James Jones played less than three minutes and the Heat was 3 of 14 from three-point range. Should Spoelstra find more minutes for the Heat's most consistent three-point shooter?

YES! I'm surprised that JJ played that much, I don't remember seeing Him in the game at all. But at the same time, Minny had some guys with length that could score the ball, so I'm assuming that JJ would've been a defensive liability tonight if He played more minutes...no?

But damn, looking at the highlight of the game winning bucket, I just noticed that JJ was the one that cleared His man from the weakside to the opposite corner. So I guess Spoels had something up His sleeve AFAJJ was concerned...

norris cole aka baby wade

i just wondering on coach spo why the hell he let play the old dog name JUWAN HOWARD for some good minutes wherein we have younger and much better players on the bench like PITTMAN & GLADNESS............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW CAN WE DEVELOP THEIR POTENTIALS TALENTS IF COACH SPO LET THEM SIT ON THE BENCH!!!!!!!!!!
HEY COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET THE KIDS PLAY!!!!!!!!

there was also a rumors that HEAT ORGANIZATION had interest to JOEL PRZYBILLA..........

I THINK HE COULD HELP US.......
SO FOR ME, I GUESS RILEY & ARISON MUST DO IT BEFORE OTHER TEAM SIGNED HIM..........
THEREFORE, THEY MUST CUT OR WAIVE OR BUY-OUT OR GET RID OF ( JUWAN HOWARD )

thoughts?????????????

James Jones doesn't play many minutes because he's like a turnstile on defense. Long arms notwithstanding he has slow feet and can't stop penetration. Besides drawing charges he doesn't help the defense in the way Battier, even Mike Miller will when he returns.

all we need is a CENTER better than JOEL ANTHONY....

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF FESENKO??? WARRIORS DONT SIGNED HIM.............

PITTMAN & GLADNESS, please, Gladdness is a D Leaguer, and Pittman still needs to lose weight.

Rockstar, we hav 2 C Eddy Curry 1st b4 we make any C decisions. If he is the old eddy curry, then we have our C. thats why nene would have been thsi teams perfect fit. An athletic guy who runs the floor, anyway, we r 4-0 and made it to game 6 of the finals, and joel alters shots. Guys lets enjoy the fact we r gonna hav a great yr.............If Curry doesnt work out, then maybe we make a move. Not a big JOEL Pryz fan. another stiff. Juwan gives us experience in tight games. the rookies will play on blowouts

4-0 Babby!Maybe they outta run that piece on Howard again. You know the one the shows how he is 1 of the best professionals in the game. Always do and say the right things, works hard and is A coaches dream. Spo shows loyalty to his hard workers. Why else would UD being shooting technical freebies. Howard deserves a few minutes a game while helping a team win a ring. I still don't like Spo rotation but we got enough ballers on the bench to get the job done no matter who's in there. I thought Chalmers was having a good game b4 he sat. I like Coles. I'm very excited about the future of this young man. If chalmers is playing poorly, he should be yankes. Chalmers had like 5 ast in the 1st 7 or 8 minutes. Then he sat and sat and sat some more. Either give him 15 minutes off of the bench or let him play 25 as a starter when he is playing well. Don't screw his or any other player on the team head up by rewarding their good play with splinters

we are outrebounded............ we win only by a LUCK on our side... what if the opponent made all there free throws??????????? we lose!!!!!!!!!!!

look, we got 3 all stars!!!!!
we only win in a dying seconds and for a last shot on the two teams which was a NON PLAYOFF TEAMS??????????

WE CANNOT WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP RING THIS SEASON IF WE DONT FIND A CENTER BETTER THAN OUR CURRENT CENTERS.................

Happy new year!!

NAME THE TOP FIVE CENTERS IN THE LEAGUE, GO......

trade miller and wahtever for okafor...
