Postgame Breakdown: Spurs 108, Heat 78

SAN ANTONIO -The Heat ended 2009 the same way it started the year. And that wasn't a good thing.Heat Spurs Duncan

Far from it, actually. After opening the year with a double-digit loss to Orlando on Jan. 2, the Heat closed out the year with its worst loss of the season in a 108-78 setback against the Spurs.

Remember that stretch of good play that resulted in a 5-1 run for the Heat? Well, it collapsed. The Heat (16-14) has dropped two in a row on its two-game road trip, with disappointing losses at New Orleans and San Antonio. On Wednesday, the Heat showed some fight in coming back from a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter before falling to the Hornets.

On Thursday, the Heat spent much of the night as a bystander. The Spurs ran away from the Heat in the second quarter and went all Usain Bolt on Miami in the second half. Just like what transpired after the 28-point loss at home to Memphis last month, Spoelstra took an awful long time to emerge from the locker room to meet with the media after this one.

And also just like after that game, he hinted that changes might be on the horizon after he speaks with his players at length to analyze what has gone so wrong so quickly again for the Heat.

D. WADE'S DOINGS: There was nothing productive about Wade's night. He missed 12 of 18 shots from the field and 4 of 5 from three-point range. He also squandered half of his free-throw attempts. And that wasn't even the worst part of his night. He had a season-high seven turnovers, unable to force his way through an opponent's trapping defense. And to top off the night, he tipped the ball into the Spurs basket on a bucket that had to be credited to Tim Duncan. He closed with 16 points in 29 minutes, tossing in the white flag after the third quarter.

TURNING POINT: The Spurs used a 8-0 run to open the third quarter and would outscore the Heat 28-13 to build on their nine-point halftime lead. Balance was the key for San Antonio, with Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili all shooting well above 50 percent from the field. The Heat had no answers. And then when Roger Mason and George Hill started to get going, it turned into a rout.

LOSING EDGE: Through three quarters, the Spurs were 18 of 20 from the free-throw line. The Heat was 4 of 8. The attempts sort of evened out at the finish. But this was clearly a case of two things. The Spurs got plenty of calls early and the Heat just wasn't as aggressive.

HEAD-SCRATCHER: It's hard to fathom. But after scoring 20 points in the first 20 minutes of the game, Heat Spurs Beas Michael Beasley might have gotten a bit of the Michael Jordan treatment from that 1985 All-Star Game. Remember the Freeze Out? It's hard to argue against the evidence for a stretch in the second quarter of Thursday's game. After opening 7 of 15 from the field in the best half of his career, Beasley didn't attempt another shot over the final five minutes once Wade re-entered with 5:01 left. Wade, Jermaine O'Neal, Carlos Arroyo and Quentin Richardson shared all eight field goal attempts the rest of the half. Beasley swung the ball to the weak side, rebounded and ran plays. But he didn't shoot, or really get a chance to shoot. This comes just hours after Beasley said he'll take a more selective approach to the advice he accepts from teammates and speak his mind more amid Wednesday's on-court feud with Richardson in the loss at New Orleans. I'm no conspiracy theorist. But you had to scratch your head at how the half played out. San Antonio didn't defend Beasley any differently. I still say it's all coincidence. I think. Right? But file this under Arsenio Hall's category of Things That Make You Go Hmmm. Full disclosure, Wade passed to Beas on the first play of the second half for a missed jumper. So there goes that theory, right?

KEY CONTRIBUTION: It's a shame Beasley's night had to end like this. He honestly had no clue why BEASLEY_MICHAEL things sort of went away from him after this one. But he was 12 of 21 from the field for one of his most productive and efficient efforts of his two-year career. There's gotta be an explanation coming somewhere.

im lost...are you saying no one on the heat wanted michael to shoot the ball is that what the "conspiracy" is?

God help me, i'm with Wallace on this. It looked like they froze Beez out tonight. Wade's shot selection was atrocious at best, pathetic at worst. And where has Jermaine gone to? This team is going downhill fast.

something going on in the locker room and its not good for the team...changes are order or atleast they should

This is not the first time they are freezing Beasley out. It's a pattern that has been going on for a very long time. It's the reason we've been intimating that perhaps Wade isn't embracing Beasley.

There is no way anyone would have thought that Wade with help in Beasley would really struggle.

"

beasley averages 20.3 points on 49% shooting when he plays at least 30 minutes a game. (last 13 games)

there are 6 players in the NBA that average at least 20 points and shoot at least 49%.

lebron 50.1%
bosh 51.6%
amare 56.6%
kaman 51.0%
zach randolph 50.8%
tim duncan 55.6%

once beasley gets his 36 minutes at power forward, he would join an elite club.

Basically all the top players we're looking for from the 2010 free agency market will put up whatever we're getting from Beasley when we allow him to play his minutes at PF. This is even with us not really involving him and playing him and Wade as either-or offensive players. Sporon hasn't been able to give us any consistent stretch of meaningful minutes where Wade and Beasley are really playing together and creating cohesive offense. It is either all Wade or all Beasley for stretches. Zero togetherness or chemistry.

The only reason why those other players may work better for us is because Wade may be willing to embrace them and share the spotlight with them.

Beasley is just a young upstart on a team riddled with veterans like Haslem, Q, JO and Wade who all want theirs and are willing to throw Beasley out to get theirs.

It is hard being Michael Beasley on the Miami Heat. Clearly the litany of excuses we've heard from Sporon about Beasley's minutes is nothing but political speak for "The veterans want their minutes."

Also what is the deal with the second unit not passing the ball to Beasley?

I can understand the veterans freezing him out, not really, but I can excuse it. However, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever on this earth for the 2nd unit of Chalmers, Cook, Wright, Haslem and Joel not to play the game through Beasley almost every time down the court. He creates plays for them and gives them better shots because he's that much better than them. Yet you see Cook and Mario clanking all the shots without being remotely bashful.

Sporon also just watches without saying anything. I don't blame him though because he only really watches what happens on the defensive end. To him offense is some mythical story.

Everybody know what's going on, just who is the first one to take the step for fixed. Jummmmmmmmm any volunteer. That's the problem. who need the Job?. Crazy ahhhhhh.

Im tired of Wade! Honestly I would rather they not resign that diva... He hasn't played hard all season.

Please Riley bring in some players who play with heart and passion... At least Kobe and Lebron played hard and still put up their numbers when their teams were down

This is all on Wade!!

If U want to be the man, than play like it you DIVA!!

You crazy! We don't ever win a championship without that man. DOn't be ridiculous. You say he hasn't played hard but look at his coach. What are they learning from that man. You're an idiot. People who think wade is a diva are idiots and should be ban from this blog or any blog. WE DON'T EVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITHOUT WADE PEOPLE. RELAX. IT'S ONLY BEEN THREE YEARS SINCE WE'VE WON A CHAMPIONSHIP. DON'T WORRY. ATLEAST WE ARE NOT THE BULLS OR THE CLIPPERS. OR EVEN THE KNICKS WHO HAVEN'T TASTED A TITLE IN OVER 30 YEARS. TAKE A SEAT YOU WADE BASHERS. YOU TELLING ME LEBRON IS NOT A DIVA? WALKING OFF THE COURT AFTER A LOST BUT SMILES AND SHAKE HANDS WE HE WINS? WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS. HE'S NOT MY KING OR ANY FOR THAT'S FOR SURE. BOY DC HEATER PISSED ME OFF. LOL. YOU'RE NOT A HEAT FAN BITCH. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Beasley could have easily scored 40 last night all they have to do is just pass him the ball even Wallace admitted that they stopped passing him the ball this team has enough talent to be competitive

C'mon someone speak up there needs to be some changes please

What is most disappointing about all of this is that a team like the Houston Rockets can be good with no established all-stars and Miami ,with an all-world player and rising all-star, can't get it together.

www.blogmiamiheat.com

I don't believe in +/- but my man Udonis Haslem was -30 in 15 minutes.

How is that possible?

I don't see Beasley going any where until the Wade issue is resolved. If Wade leaves, than you
surrond Beasley with new Teamates and hopefully
a new coach.Wade has sold his home in Miami &
bought a new one in Chicago. His family is in Chicago. His girlfriend is from Omaha,NE which
unlong with the state of Iowa is a part of IL.A
nybody who has been to that part of the country
knows East Nebraska and Iowa is a brother to the state of Illinois.Did I say his kids are in
Chicago?Everyone is moving out of NY cause its
a disaster waiting to happen. They fix things after they break down when Miami and Chicago is looking Newer every day.Did I say his famil
y is in Chicago.Chicago Bulls are adding Cap
space by the day and if you talk to the common
sport fan in Chi town, it's a done deal.We jus
t don't know it yet.According to them D Wade can't take his place as the greatest ball play
er out of The chicago area unless he has given
something to the city.Right now they got D Rose expected to pass Isia in the future with
Wade dropping from #2 to #3.Isia is a play ground legend and has given so much to the city.Did I say his kids are in Chicago.See I
have made my mind up that Wade is gone, thats why it's easy for me to support Beasley.Anywa
y I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm not then Beasley have to stay.THAT'S WHY BEASLEY ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE!

Isia should be Isiah Thomas.Stand up now Beasley cause the way they have handled u makes u look weak and easy to take advantage of.It looks bad when a youngster stands up to someone older but in your case it is necessary.
Sporon should have had your back from the moment they drafted you.

Disappointing.....I really hope that i will be able to see Wade at his best in games to come
It should be about time he shuts all the critics and play like how he used to back in the old days. Wade, don't mind injuries. GO HEAT! GO WADE !!

Never thought I would ever diss Wade...but after last year's MVP-like season, Wade sure has lost alot of fans. It almost seems like he's trying to screw up. His game at times is unwatchable. This season must be giving Riley... Urban Meyer-like headaches! Everything wrong is now exposed from Wade becoming a diva and controlling the team with Spo coaching ridiculously stupid. So much for Riley calling out Wade. Wade is not much of a team leader either. Why he doesn't make any outward effort to acknowledge Beasley is mystifying. Guess Wade will need one of those "this is my house" nights on Saturday to win back some fans.

It would seem the chemistry is not there on this team in its current phase. I do not know what to make of Wade right now. It is clear some changes have done some good. Beasley and Udonis should be on the court together. They seem to get in when it comes to team.

Wade if you are not wanting to come back let the fans know soon. I would hate for my son to buy your jersey and it mean nothing this summer.

I just don't get it. Wade says he wants help and there is a potential all star on the team he refuses to acknowledge. Is there a reason he hates Beas so much? And even if there IS a reason, it doesn't excuse his shot selection last night. He shot us out of that game in the 3rd quarter all by himself last night. After MB did everything he could do to keep us in it. Is this Wade's way of telling Riley "If you won't take this season seriously neither will i?" Is that fair from a guy making over 10 million dollars this year? I never thought i'd feel anything less than love for D-Wade (no homo) but i wonder if we'd be better off with Joe Johnson, or if maybe Lebron and Bosh should be the targets in 2010. If Wades ego is this big, whats to keep him from New York? (Worlds biggest stage)

Horrible, horrible, horrible. There I am excited to watch the heat play on new years eve and they get smacked by 30...horrible.I don't know whats going on but Beasley came to play and the rest of the heat looked like they drank the champagne too early.I love Dwade but the way he played irked me,he complains about not having any help yet Beasley is killing who ever is guarding him and they stop giving the ball...just don't get it.Even the second unit kept the ball from him thats just ridiculous. We need an established coach who doesn't take shit from ANYONE and run this team the right way cause I love the heat and the way Spo has been handling this team sucks.

Wade has ophidiophobia(fear of snakes).Word is that a immature MB chase him thru the practice stands with a big snake around his neck. Wade said that he is over it,but I'm not so sure.Gue
st he never played the fart game, where you fart
in a family member/friend face & laugh about it
later.

ok, lets start by saying this team is and has to make some moves... all this talk about who getting what is and has to stop... this miami, and when you have a player like wade, you have to bring in player who compliment him or help change the course of the history and pat you have to be looking for the right moves that will make this team a championship contender again... 1) two 1st round picks and an expiring contract for cp3..2) beasley, cook and 2nd rnd pick for gay and thabeet... 3) sign either amare or bosh in the offseason... resign o'neil... 4) bring shaq back... 5) bring back haslem and qrich... 6) trade jones for camby... 7) trade little nate... but this team isn't where it should be right now and thats just do to lack of moves, so don't have a heart attack, lets just put a plan together and make it happen... hey 2010, let's make it happen...

that was the team of the decade and that was just the way the ref's called it so now pat has to make the heat the team of this decade...

with these moves this team will have star power and make a run at three titles...

I like how people forget Wade didn't attempt any shots in the first few minutes and was being a decoy and feeding the ball. Beasley was doing his thing but if you want the offense to go through him than so be it. This game was lost when the defense stopped defending.

There is no reasoning with Black the trucker at all! You say you want the Heat to build an elite team but the first name that comes out your mouth is Rudy Gay and Thabeet??? Dude nobody agrees with you because we need more convincing we don't agree because it's dumb. The Heat gets Gay and resign him then they won't have money for another max player, because Gay agent wants close to 60 mill. Also Thabeet is a good weak side defender but gets handle by skilled centers. Do you really want an over-sized Joel Anthony??? A Nate Robinson trade might be something to look at because I'm tired of Chalmers! It be one thing if Chalmers look to shoot all of the time but he doesn't even do that his non-aggressiveness puzzles me. He not even wrecking havoc defensively like last year. Also Beasley is next up and you be a fool to trade him. You don't get rid of people who scores easily and grab rebounds. Every team in the league cries for a power forward who can stretch the defense and your going to give one away in a package deal? Beasley will be the next Carmelo Anthony and us as Heat fans will be doing "remember when he was a Heat, damn I wish we still had him" if we trade him away. I say lets build on what we have by just picking up Bosh when he is available. Complement our players don't go screwing the team up with trades that won't make us any better than the Celtics, Cavs, or even Atlanta. Rudy Gay will not puts us over the top in a Division II league.

black the trucker stop talking crap in just 1 segment. The reason shaq wasnt happy was because he was seeing what kobe was doing in wade. The same arrogant and diva wade has turned into.Someone needs to tell wade that his legacy is on the line and his friends are good after the last buzzer of every game.Haslem, rich and wright can be friends after the end of every game, but in game time he should make his business a priority.Nowonder wright, rich and haslem dont pass the ball to beasley at all when they are playing together. It is a conspiracy among them who are also trying to make beasley the scapegoat.jeff van gundy was right after all.Wade is showing zero leadership and our coach has no control over this team.

What?

Good Stuff Wallace, welcome to the Dark Side. For once it wasn't about UD Beasley or Chalmers Arroyo, it was just a bad effort by the Heat.

Do NOT disrespect Wade saying you wish he would leave...That's asinine! I've seen some of the greatest players have some terrible stretches. Don't ever say we should get rid of him because you have no idea what we have here. Are you guys crazy, its a bleeping 82 game season. We just need a better two man game b/w Wade and Beasley ala D. Will and Boozer. We need better coaching substitutions. We needed AI but that ship has sailed. We need more creative plays on Offense like that double screen I saw yesterday b/w Beasley, Arroyo, and Wade. Ride the hot hand correctly, and what happened with JO? I didn't like how the Heat got back to within 14 and they took out Beaze and then took out Arroyo later and the lead ballooned to 28. Here's hoping to a better new year~

Wade was not being a decoy. He simply wasn't getting good shots. Beasley wasn't getting good shots either but he managed to find ways to score because we weren't really running the offense for him. Sporon confirmed as much when he was interviewed at the end of the quarter. The 2nd unit also didn't really run the game through Beasley which means Sporon wasn't running anything for him.

The game was lost when Wade decided to force the issue to get his shots, when Haslem was -30 in his 15 minutes and when we decided to go away from Beasley.

"Asked about why offense moved away from Beasley, Wade said, "I really don't know."
"He had a lot of shots early," Wade said. "He had it going, but we went to other options." "

That is Wade speaking on the issue. "We" (aka the veterans and the coach) went to "other" (aka forget that the Spurs have no solution for Beasley) "options" (mostly me and my friends had to get our shots as well. We either get them or just go home with the loss. Forget Beasley because he's had enough shots.)

There is no other way to spin this and try and pin it on defense.

"We just need a better two man game b/w Wade and Beasley ala D. Will and Boozer. We need better coaching substitutions. "

You are not going to get those things when Wade doesn't want them.

Evidence 1:
"Guard Dwyane Wade said it will be interesting to see how the shots are distributed in the first unit. "I like my shots," he said with a smile, before continuing, "Michael loves his shots. That's the difference.""

Evidence 2:
"''We couldn't get anything to go for us,'' Wade said. ''They played exceptionally well. Normally with a team when we get down, we can make a run, but we just couldn't do it tonight. So just chalk this one up.''"

Beasley could get his shots but Wade wasn't interested because apparently we wanted to get something going for us. We and us not including Beasley who had something going for the team.

Wade isn't interested in a two-man game with Beasley. He does plenty of that when we sit Beasley down and put Haslem in. Unless you've forgotten that's something Wade wants.

Evidence 3:
"It takes more than a good first unit to win," Wade said. "I'm sure there are going to be times I'm out there and will say, `Get Udonis in and sit Michael down.'"

Wade shouldn't be making substitutions on this team. Do you really think Sporon has any power to coach Wade? Sporon is just the baby sitter and I think he's getting blamed a lot for an unruly baby in Wade.

We all want Wade to stay on in Miami and lead us to more championships, but at what cost? Every player puts in some of their best work in their contract years. Wade alone has picked this year to do his worst work. Does he really respect the franchise and Pat Riley? Can we really hold him accountable or has he become bigger than our team?

UD,S BIGGEST FAN SHUT UP STOP RIDING HASLEM HE TRASH I KNOW JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE KNOWS IT!!!!! BEASLEY IS THE MOST TALENTED PLAYER ON THE HEAT HATE IT OR LOVE IT!!!! IMO BEASLEY DESERVES BETTER THAN THIS MIAMI HEAT TEAM SO TAKE DAT POW POW POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haslem isn't trash. We make him look bad because of the way we use him but that isn't his fault.

Beasley should be getting 35+ minutes at PF with Haslem as his back up. That combo makes the PF our strongest position.

I don't know why the rotation and finding shots and having a fluid offense, with Wade and Beasley (who everyone admits is a gifted offensive player) has become such an ordeal for us.

After reading thru all off ya'll comments only one person on here know what they are talking about & thats 305 REPRESENTER!!! smh some of ya'll need to do your homework

If Wade hates Beasley it is because drugs destroyed Wade's mom and Beasley got caught with drugs. You all know Wade's story..his mom battled drug addiction... so of course a dude like Beasley is going to get hate from Wade. Wade likes straight-edge types not liberal's like Beasley and it is a shame because they could learn so much from each other.

Oh yeah, Wade hates Beas because hes so pure. You obviously haven't been paying attention to Wades court battles. (legal court, not basketball)
The only thing larger than Wades ego is black the truckers nonsensical posts.
I love D-Wade, but hes either physically not right, or mentally.

Wade's legal battles are not really too serious. A lawsuit on a bad business deal is not a big deal nor does it show Wade to be of bad character. Business is business. The divorce happens to the best of people... but childhood trauma is something that can be... subconscious.

DINO IN DA HOUSE!!

dino

SHUT UP Wade's former agent has been quoted as saying he's been to numerous parties AND HAS SEEN FOR HIMSELF DWYANE WADE (YES DWYANE WADE) SMOKING WEED INFRONT OF EVERYONE LIKE HE HAD NO CARE IN THE WORLD!!!! SO DONT MAKE WADE OUT TO BE SOME KIND OF ANGEL GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT PARTNER BEASLEY ISNT THE ONLY PLAYER WHO HAS HAD INVOLMENT WITH DRUGS!!!! U never would of known beasley had a problem if he didnt go to rehab!!!

Beasley Fan:
I seriously doubt that in this day and age of cell-phone cameras that Wade is smoking the ganja in public. I seriously doubt it. Wade is a good guy, he spends his time helping the community at schools and stuff. The way his personality is I doubt he smokes. You have a big imagination kiddo.

http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/02/10/dwyane-wade-accused-of-holding-sexy-parties/

DINO DONT PLAY AROUND WITH ME!!! IMMA GROWN MAN I SPEAK THE TRUTH HOMIE GO FIND U SOMEBODY TO PLAY WITH!!!!!!

Lets just blow up this team and start fresh. Here's what our new team should look like:as our starting point guard Smush Parker, at shooting guard bring back Ricky Davis, small forward get Antoine Walker to play for a couple hundred bucks, the power forward spot goes to Brian Grant(miss you dog!)and our center would be Mark Blount.

Sex parties are not drug-related. Theoretically speaking, Wade's trauma is with his mother and drug-related separation. Sex parties? Good for him.

Love,
Dino

dumbass that quote is from a publicist SMH

Any more insults you want to spew out of your brain?

yeah STOP TALKING TO ME IM STARTING TO THINK YOU'RE A HOMO!!! GON ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS I ALREADY PROVED U WRONG U SHOULDNT EVER HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY ON THESE BLOGS BECAUSE ITS BEEN PROVEN U SPEAK WITHOUT TRUTH!!!!

Haha you are pshychotic. Because I talk to you I want to have sex with you? Look in the mirror. The man in the mirror. Like Michael Jackson.

this team has no identity and wade isnt helping. We need a coach that can step up and tell it like it is even if it is to wade.No more crappy interviews saying lack of energy because thats what this guy always says after every lost.We were 5-1 in the last 6 games because we were rotating the ball.Wade stalled the ball after the 1st quarter where he only took 1 shot and missed, but the team was neck and neck vs a clearly superior team.Wade this season cant shoot, cant stop nobody and leave his man open all the time looking for fast break at the other end waiting for a miss to get a long pass and dunk the ball.I sided with jeff van gundy when he said wade wasnt being a leader and our soft coach isnt helping.Riley is a smart man that knows he can get bosh or lebron and is sabotaging spolstra to take over in 2010 with the excuse that spolstra didnt get it right and is better served as a video man or growing players.

The Natives have been loosed on this Blog

The team last night was absolutely pathetic. Wade gets in these periods where he will NOT pass the ball!!! Beasley is the star of this team. Let him out Spo!! It is sad what is going on here. Really sad. Wade's shot selection is pathetic and no one will step up other than Beas. JO never gets enough touches. This team is going nowhere fast. I due have to give credit where credit is due and that is Arroyo. He has been stepping it up. Please do not resign Wade. Lets get some other top talent here. Maybe we can trade Wade's expiring contract????

I agree with Heatfan that O'neal don't get enough touches at all. I wouldn't say that for Beasley though because he does average the second highest shot selection on the team. I say we might as well trade JO if were not going to use him it might as well be "stone-hand" Joel Anthony in there. All of this Wade & friends talk are starting to scare me and I hope it's not true. Although I think it's total bs because Wade does pass Beasley the ball and so do Haslem it's Cook who doesn't pass Beasley the ball!! I hope Beasley and Wade are cool because I think they complement each other. I wish Wade would stop forcing things and look to set-up more. I might be the only person in the world that wish Wade would play point because of he did he would be the best point in the league not CP3. also the team run so smoothly and scores easily when he brings the ball up. It's either that or slow the offense down and run inside out and trust JO passing ability and descision making. I also think Wade is in full diva mode just based off not resigning. I mean it's Pat Riley he will get you help when the time is right I bet if Wade had sign we would atleast got Boozer to opt out.

OK, my 2 cents. We were leading the game when Arroyo with his good court vision and ball handling (3 asts in 9 minutes)was feeding Beas in the 1st quater and the team looked very well even when Wade did not take a shot almost the whole 1st quarter. We were playing like a team just until wade decided to take the team on his own shoulders ... and you know the result of the game.

But I got a question, why the heck Spo does not decide to give Arroyo starter minutes on court, and why is wade playing point and shooting guard at the same time ? Because he brings down the ball and takes the shot without anybody touch the dam ball.
Spo needs to make some real changes in order to win games ... Or let Wade make his forced stats.

This is the Miami Heat, Wade haters should be shot in the back of the head. Traitors! Forgot about last year and 2006 already huh? Some of you make me sick. And of course...

FIRE SPORON!

"The only thing larger than Wades ego is black the truckers nonsensical posts."

LoL as much as I agree with you, Black is a vet on here so he gets a pass. He was asking to get Pops for like 3 months before realizing he signed with the Raps. It would have been a good pickup though black.

"We just need a better two man game b/w Wade and Beasley ala D. Will and Boozer. We need better coaching substitutions. "

"You are not going to get those things when Wade doesn't want them."

UD's biggest fan, I mostly agree with everything you say regardless of which blog we are on. Wade has a controlling stake in this team, Spo is a figure-head coach, he is in a bad spot. He has to please Riley and Wade! I also think UD is given too much clout in the Miami Heat organization. Beasley talks about UD like he's the Dikembe Motombo of defense, which actually worries me. I mean Jermaine O'neal at this point is a better player than UD probably ever will be, yet Beasley will not listen to him because of the god UD. I never really had any disdain for UD before, but you also have to remember that UD played with Shaq and he makes a lot of subpar PFs, "Championship" PFs, "Samaki Walker, AC Green, I think. Either way we can turn this around we just need Wade to be an effective unbiased leader or by God have Beasley step up as the most unexpected leader the world has ever seen and have someone who can challenge players to become better than they are and not back down to Wade.

SATALOVE STFU.Wade isnt and should not be bigger than this team.He is playing like garbage and should also be blamed.Stop living in the past and if he won the ring, that is his job.He is getting paid millions to play fu... bball

the last 2 games loss is due to coaching job failures!!! we need to change the COACH!!!
BYRON SCOTT IS OUT THERE!!!

PAT RILEY is not making moves to get WADE to stay here!!! where is the DYNASTY? he wanted for this team!!! it is sad to say, BUT I THINK I'D RATHER BE HAPPY TO WADE, TO LEAVE THIS TEAM RATHER THAN TO STAY HERE FOR NOTHING!!!

THANK YOU WADE FOR 2006 CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

also please trade the kid named: "MICHAEL BEASLEY" HE GOT A GOOD FUTURE / CAREER AHEAD, IF HE PLAY FOR OTHER TEAM THAN TO GET STUCK WITH THIS RETARDED COACH & MANAGEMENT!!!

I'M A HEAT FAN SINCE "ALONZO MOURNING/HARDAWAY ERA" BUT WHAT I SEE NOW IS FRUSTRATION SINCE THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS TEAM IS DOING NOTHING!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!

TRY TO EVALUATE OUR COACH...
GM RILEY JUST MAKING PROMISES TO UPGRADE THE TEAM ON 2010... IT"S 2010 NOW!!! STILL NO MOVES BEING MADE!!!

DAMN!!!!

Good lord who are these fake Heat fans? Trade Wade and Beasley? Okay thats just the dumbest thing you can do. That's like a person with heart problems deciding to get rid of their heart instead of exercising. You must be Orlando fans or something and want to see Miami fail. Talent like Wade and Beasley don't come around often in the NBA. Trade for some new role players? Yes. Get a new coach? Yes. But trade your best weapons? Nope.

wow, if yall would look into the moves i post you would see that this team would be an elite team with more talent and beasley wants to be the man and it's not going to be here.... so why not trade him and get good talent in return... rudy gay could sign for 5/yr 50mil here and a chance to win a title... to be honest i would trade arroyyo and daiwara 2nd round pick to the knicks for little nate... and a lot of the veteran's will be availanle for a lot less just like AI was... 3 to 4 mil area... so look for them to... they want rings...

Are we traitors because we can see when Wade makes wrong decisions on court ? Dam, what a understanding of the words hater and traitor...

if the HEAT ORGANIZATION care for WADE..., the clock is ticking!!! RILEY & MIKEY must do something now to get WADE a help!!! we got a good cap space to use!!!

MATERIALS TO UPGRADE THE TEAM:
>expiring contracts or players to be traded:
o'neal,q-rich,cook,jones,diawara,magloire...
>trade exemption 4.2M(from toronto)
>draft rights of (DOZIER & BEVERLY)
>2nd round pick 2010 draft class
>1st round pick 2010 (from toronto)
>1st round pick 2010 (our own pick)

PLAYERS LIKELY TO REMAINED FOR THIS TEAM ARE:
>WADE
>BEASLEY
>WRIGHT,D.
>ANTHONY,J.
>HASLEM
>CHALMERS

WAIVED/BUY-OUT:

ACQUIRE:
*BOUROUSIS 6/11 CENTER
(if only we could have this guy)it could help much to our problem at center position. HIS PLAYING AT GREECE-EURO LEAGUE

*MANU GINOBLI SG
(could be back-up wade)he is unrestricted free agent

*MARC GASOL CENTER
(young center could be good compliment to our team if could do such trade offer to memphis)

*an all star type that can play along with WADE, that we could offer a max deal contracts
more likely: (*BOSH OR *STOUDEMIRE)

*RUDY GAY SF
(restricted free agent) i think we can still offer HIM a max deal...

*DAVIS,BARON PG
think this could be the solution to our PG spot problem... this guy could be our true pg...(but then he is not FA, if only we could have a piece for him to trade then it's good to have him on this team)...

*OUTLAW,T. SF/PF
(unrestricted FA) he could be good here to our system... young versatile player.

as a result of the above idea we could be now a contender again:

pg *davis,b. / chalmers
sg wade / *ginobli
sf *gay / wright /*outlaw,t.
pf beasley / haslem /(*outlaw)
c *stoudemire / *gasol,m. / anthony,j.

if we can have (BOUROUSIS...)
LINE-UP WOULD BE:

pg *davis,b. / chalmers
sg wade / *ginobli
sf beasley / wright / *outlaw,t.
pf *bosh / haslem
c *bourousis /*gasol,m. / anthony,j.

could the KINGS would bite if we offer them our 2 (1st round pick 2010) & (2nd round pick 2010) for (TYREKE EVANS PG) or could the BUCKS with same offer for (BRANDON JENNINGS PG)??? I GUESS THEY WOULD NOT CONVINCE...

BUT THEN IMAGINE IF THEY WOULD: either of them...

pg (*evans/jennings)/ chalmers
sg wade / *ginobli
sf beasley / wright / *outlaw(pf)
pf *bosh / haslem
c *bourousis / *gasol,m. / anthony,j.

COACH: BYRON SCOTT
I CHOOSE SEt NO. 3 LINE-UP
IF KINGS & BUCKS WOULD NOT ACCEPT THE OFFER..., as io know...
I CHOOSE SET NO.2 LINE-UP...

go riles & mikey make the moves!!!

i mean buy-out / waived is:
>QUINN
>ARROYO

It is fine to express your opinion and be critical, but when people say trade Wade and dumb stuff like that it's just plain retarded. I believe the blame for this team's problems lays on Sporon and Riley. Pat basically has taken a vacation until 2010 free agency. Sporon, well I think we all know about his incompetence.

Why do I bash Wade haters? Because without him this team is irrelevant. Only Beasley is the other true special player on the Heat. Wade can't be blamed for Beasley's handling, that is clearly on Spo and Riles.

Do you think it is smart to bash your franchise player the year he is a free agent? Name me an athlete who has done more for the city of Miami (along with Zo and Marino). The Heat will not win another ring in the near future without Wade, like it or not that is a fact. The level of jealousy shown by some so called fans is pathetic. Childish "diva" name calling to someone who doesn't have 1/4th the ego of a Kobe, LeBron, Shaq, etc. When things went bad Shaq left the Heat and we turned into an embarassment, the worst team in the NBA. Do you want that to happen again?

Dwayne is the least of the Heat's problems. All the best players in the NBA are surrounded by talent. The most help on the Heat is Beasley, a 20 year old who should be getting as much time on the floor as possible.

Why is there so much anger and unrest with Heat fans? That is on Riley. He has pretty much kept quiet al season and anly comes out of the wookwork when the fan base is really upset. Why are there curtains to seal of empty sections of seats and why is Heat attendance so crappy? Because fans know we are getting hosed. We deserve better than this.

people who want to trade beasley are insecure wade fans and those who want to trade wade are funs who really dont want him to go,but are frustrated to see him chucking game after game, but still want him here just doing better so dont read too much into trade wade stuff.I do think he needs to stop acting like a prima-dona and help this team win even if it means letting beasley outscore him in a game or too.I still think he is jealous of how easy beasy scores in and out
